Trying For a Baby part 4

Just wondering is there any ladies on here trying again after a M/C? How long did you wait until trying again?
Thanks
maria xxx
Hubby also wanted try again asap, but thought it might take my mind off things to work, and give time for my body to repair.
My first period was a small one, while the next one was massive, so I think it was a wise decision:p
Give yourself time, and don't be rushed into anything Maria.

They do say you are highly fertile after a MC but I would say wait until you feel ready xBLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -

I was thinking more in terms of waiting for lottery numbers to come up;)0 -
I just spoke to my mum. She said when she saw me the other day that I looked pregnant. I asked her why she thought that. She said "because it looked like you were wearing a mask and when you're pregnant your face looks like you're wearing a mask"......YOU WHAT?!?!?!?!

Maria GTi: I'm going through the exact same thing as yourself at the mo. My scan, at 9 weeks, showed that our baby had died at around 5/6 weeks. I have to have another scan next Wednesday just to make sure that I haven't got my dates mixed up. I know that I haven't but I understand that they have to cover their backs. Hopefully then I can get booked in for an ERPC and get back on the road to TTC.
Personally, I intend to start TTC straightaway. Emotionally I am all over the place so my rationale is that at least I'll be doing something productive with my time and it *might* take my mind off dealing with the aftermath of the MC.
From a medical point of view, as long as you physically feel up to it you can BD as soon as you want. You are normally recommened to wait until you have your first period however this is mainly for dating reasons should you get PG in the meantime. Ask the nurses at the hospital though if you want extra reassurance.
I feel for you as it is an horrific experience, it's my first. For me grabbing whatever support is offered has seriously saved my sanity although I know there's a long way to go yet. Today is quite a good day for me as I'm actually out of bed and have been bothered to wash and brush my teeth.
Anyway, I hope that helps and if it's any consolation there are unfortunately a lot of lovely ladies on here that have/are going through the same thing so you are not alone.
love to all

Anyone watch Gavin and Stacey last night???
They've just started TTC (if you didn't watch) and it was quite funny to watch Stacey doing the "we must have sex twice a day" panic:rotfl:
I'm sure we were all like that when we first started TTC;)
Oh and I've been meaning to ask about folic acid. The other day I was thinking about how long I've been taking it (9 months now:eek: I started taking it a month before TTC) and was wondering if taking it for a long period of time would have any bad affects of any sort???I don't suppose there is but I'm sure you're all like me and didn't think I'd be taking it for so long!
EDIT: Found this quite interesting info about folic acid http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/vitamin-b9-000338.htm
In fact, taking any one of the B complex vitamins for a long period of time can result in an imbalance of other important B vitamins. For this reason, it is generally important to take a B complex vitamin with any single B vitamin.BLOWINGBUBBLES:kisses2: SMARTIE120 -
Hope you're feeling better soon Smartie. I don't think there are any bad effects of taking the folic acid in fact I'm sure I read something somewhere recently about having taking it for more than a year before conception is very good! (only thing I have heard is increased risk of twins!)
Maria, so sorry to hear of your mc. Not something I've been through as still chasing the elusive bfp. There are quite a lot of others on here though that have been througjh mc/mc's and I'm certain will be of immense support to you, they are all an amzing bunch of ladies and some of them have been through some incredibly tough times and are still here dusting themselves down and being a real inspiration to everyone. Take care of yourself.0 -
