  • Hi everyone

Glad to hear that all is well with you all. I have cracked lips as well, although I thought that this was just because of the weather!
I am now officially on maternity leave and after my initial hard ship of actually leaving my job on Friday I am now looking forward to my new life of being a Mummy to a human and not just dogs!!
Loads of jobs to do in the house but I thought I'd have a couple of days relaxing as I haven't been able to do that in a long time. :D
I am due on 25th February and am wondering whether I should be having anything happening at the moment? The only extra thing I've really noticed is a bit of discomfort in my belly which doesn't last that long and when I've had a big fart(!) is gets better! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Also...has anybody got a Mothercare 360 spin? We bought one at the Baby Show and have just fitted the car seat that came with it. We have followed all of the instructions but the seat seems very loose, even with the seat belt on. :think:Am thinking of taking it to our local Mothercare to get it checked. xx
    :love:Baby Bump born 4th March 2010! :kisses:

for you or him som ?

If its for him i would say yes its worth packing a little bag with some things to keep him out of mischief in the early stages and something to eat for both of you :-)

If it is for you then i have always done it myself :-)

    Morning ladies,

Re: cracked lips, I find Carmex brilliant, smells a bit grim but it's really thick and fixes lips up really quickly :)

Som - OH is planning to chuck a tshirt into my bag when the time comes, someone suggested it to us as we're hoping for a waterbirth in case he gets wet/has skin to skin and gets bloody etc. Though I'll prob just put it in my bag when I get around to doing that (must do it soon!)

EA happy 37 weeks & 1 days :D Labour vibes? Same for you Kindof :D Oooh & some for meeeeee please :) Started the day with half a pineapple already though I reckon he's gonna be a few days late so no doubt all in vain. & of course, not forgetting the most of all - labour vibes for Nikkit!

Sonee your consultant sounds like an idiot. I think it's difficult for doctors sometimes though as they're so overrun they probably overlook a lot of things and don't read enough of peoples notes (I know, no excuse). I'm sure talking things over with the midwife will help as then you'll know where you stand in their eyes IYKWIM? If you state to her that you want an elective c-section I'm sure she'll be able to esculate it. You've still got lots of weeks left yet so try not to worry too much, plenty of time to get things sorted, x

Kindof your pizza looks ace :D

Guinea I've not got the Spin but Som works at MC so she'll be able to advise I'm sure :) Glad you're perked up about leaving work, enjoy!

    Lovely bump Incognito!

Sounds like you had a lovely day Xmas - bless your DD :)

RE: Holidays, we're going away at the end of July post wedding, so he'll be about 4 months old. We were considering leaving him with my parents but not sure we really wanted to, more felt like it was sensible? So we've decided to take him :) Everyone I've spoken to has said it's easiest to travel when they're really young so keeping fingers crossed it will be ok! We were kinda hoping to get a long weekend in at the end of August/start of Sept just the two of us too...but guess we'll play that one by ear...I sound like a horrid mum already, planning to abandon my baby!!

Hope everyone had a lovely valentines? We didn't do anything, we go out all the time anyway so have never really recognised v day, my poor bro got into big trouble with his OH for not getting a good enough present though, grrr, nothing like a bit of materialism!

Off out in a mo to pick up a clock for babys room, and to pick up the copied pics so I can get them up on the wall then we're all done (bar getting a hospital bag together for me..!!) :D Ooh in case anyone's not been in - Asda have baby towels for £3.50 each, they're cute too, bargain!
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j

    Thanks gymfiend :)

Labour Vibes to me, Ea, Gymfiend (Happy 37 weeks) and Nikkit and anyone else (I dont think I missed anyone?)

Yeah I think it will b easier taking a very little one away cos you will be used to all the stuff they need for just going shopping even lol

We didnt do anything for Valentines, I think we might of if I did feel so huge, we rarely go out lol, my mate Katie has said she will babysit for us next year (if she hasnt got a boyfriend lol) so that will probs be the first time we go out

Beany is very wiggly and I honestly feel like his head has gone further down, I will be suprised (dissapointed lol) when I go to the Midwife tomorrow if he hasnt gone down more

  • Yawn. God I hate being so tired all of the time and also can't be bothered to do anything today. Luckily I tidied, hovered and cleaned the hob yesterday. I feel sorry for my DD. Anyone else just not feel great and motivated? I know most of you are about to drop so that's understandable, but I mean early on in pregnancy.

On a side note, I think OH is happy now that my no sex phase has passed.
