ymakesmile wrote: »When did you all feel movement with your first? I know there's various things that can effect when you feel movement but I just need some reassurance about it now.
I first felt a funny kind of "pop" in my stomach at about 17 weeks, the MW didn't record it as movement though and I didn't feel it again for a couple of weeks. I was 19+2 when I first noticed something that could have been movement but it was only a few days later though once I'd felt it a few times that I was fairly sure that was what it was.
Now (21+5) I have the same feeling every day I'm sat down quietly, though I don't notice it if I'm busy (plus, apparently, your movement can rock the baby to sleep so you may not feel anything if you're particularly active). I'm not sure I can feel him from the outside yet, while I thought I did yesterday, it may just have been because I felt it on the inside and was expecting to feel him if you know what I mean.
Hope that helps some - I thought it'd be reassuring once I felt him moving too - though now it just gives me something else to panic about if I don't feel anything! Typical...:p0 -
kindof - pleased to know am not the only one waking up with a split lip in the morning, its happened loads now, just this morning was really bad, and I thought it was just me!Eeek for such early lunch!
ymake - I wasnt sure about when I first felt movements because they were such light flutters. like butterflies or wind lol, the first deffinate movement I felt was 19+6 I was lying in bed reading
skint - thats really funny about your 4 y/o its funny what kids pick up on.
rach - I couldnt afford bravisimo even if we had one near, which we dontWill stick to mothercare sale or matalan/tesco.
nikkit - sorry lil man didnt want to put in an appearance yesterday but at least you had a good time.
Had an email from a friend whi is a midwife, asked her for some advice ref calcium and EPO. She's never heard of either being used but did recommend Almond oil for perineal massage and the nct homeopathy kit as well as recue remedy for both me and OH to keep us calm in labour. Aleady have RR and its packed, will look in H&B tomorrow if almond oil isnt too expensive will get some, she said you can pop some in a hanky and wear in your knickers thru the night too. The Homeopathy kit is £30 tho and would worry it wont show up in time to get use out of so will give that a miss this time.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

I know what you mean. Once I do feel movements I will be exactly the same and panicking when I don't feel anything too :rotfl: Think I'm just getting impatient now but I've realised everything to do with pregnancy is all about waiting....and I hate waiting lol.0 -

does anyone else suffer from bad circulation, since being pregnant i keep waking up with pins and needles in my fingers? just wondering if its related cant find much in the book i got from midwife.
I keep on getting pins and needles when I wake up! I thought it was because I'd slept on my hand funny or something! Do you know why it is? If not I'll ask the midwife on Tuesday as I'm seeing her then.Baby Bump born 4th March 2010! :kisses:
