    Morning,

So pleased you & Alfie are home & both doing well SJ :D Cannot wait to meet him & bombard you with questions!!

EA don't worry about the house temperature, you can just wrap baby up - our house is always freezing, even with the heating on 24/7, because it's really open plan downstairs (looks cool - pants in reality, won't be buying another house like this!) :) Re playpens - hadn't considered one yet but once he's mobile I think we might have to - again, thanks to the open planness! Stair gates would be so pointless :(

Som hope you enjoy your haircut & antenatal :D

Luce - not sure if this will help but MW told me to change sleeping sides because of dead leg/leg cramps, something to do with blood flow?

Glad the docs went ok Nikkit - bet you're chuffed at being allowed to go 4 days over max, do they think he'll be in that long though? Sounds like he's already on his way!

I feel well lazy this morning - woke up when OH left, cat got on the bed & puked so I changed it, had some cereal, got back in bed and have pretty much just got back up, oops! Had great plans to take a walk down to the post office to pay a bill but just can't be bothered, gotta go out at 4 to take my sis out so might just fester til then :p Had a lovely night last night, dinner was gorgeous & the theatre was brilliant, thankfully despite the majority of the theatre being full I had spare seats beside me so could change position every 20 minutes or so! Really glad we went, think it's always nice have a reminder that we're a couple & baby is an addition to that, rather than our total focus being baby iykwim? We're planning another evening out now next Thursday & the one after - hopefully baby will put paid to those plans and arrive before though :D
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j

    Helloo :)

Congrats to SJ and welcome Alfie! :)

    Good luck Nikkit!

So, *insert choice words here* im 8th on the list!!
I never thought i would get to be this high up :rotfl:

Im going to watch one born every minute later on, i cant be bothered to put my contacts in so i'll stream in onto my laptop, thats close enough for me to see :D

We only have 1 birth pool at the birth centre to kindof, i dont mind so much as i dont want a water birth. But have been thinking, what if i change my mind during labour, unless im lucky and get the room with the pool in.
I am worried though, as the birth centre only has 2 birthing rooms & 4 postnatal beds.
I do not want to travel the 10/15min journey to the other end of the city to go to the hospital to give birth.

    Argh, all these worrys! :rotfl:
  • How are we all girlies???

Good luck nikki hope things start happening for you soon! If anything else is to go by today is the day for births i have one friend in hospital being induced and another in hospital in labour!

    xx
  • Congratulations SJ :D Welcome Alfie x Sucha lovely name :) x
:smileyheaMummy to my lil' man born '05:smileyhea
    :j Baby boy due May 2010 :j
  • Nikkit really really hope your walk gets things going. Dunno if it just a coincidence but I had just eaten that pineapple when my labour started!! :rotfl:

No worries re honesty, I think it's important to know as much as you can. It certainly made things easier for me knowing what would/ might happen.

Had to have a spinal as after being fully dilated from 9pm and lots and LOTS of pushing he wasn't coming down. Turns out he was back to back so had to go into hospital to have him turned by Keilland forceps. They said it would have been just cruel to do this without pain relief and by that time I was begging for something anyway! I'd been having contraction on top of contraction for such a long time with the need to push being so strong too I was so glad when the spinal went in!

I'm just looking forward to showing him off now!

My milk has come in today though and boobs are so heavy and absolutely ginormous! Not mega painful but pretty uncomfy.

Oh yeah another thing, I'm still not leaking any milk so not much need for breast pads as yet. Took a box to hospital but didn't need them, didn't even wear a bra there either, just put one on to come home.

No idea what's going on with anyone else as only skimmed back a few pages so appropriate hugs and vibes to anyone who wants any

Knowing my luck I wont get the pool lol

We have one room with a pool and 13 rooms without a pool

Its great to hear from you again SJ :) sorry to hear he was the wrong way round, did the pool really help with the contractoins?

Did you get to push in the pool at all?

Did you leak before he was born? just I leak already so I am guessing I still will

    LMF 43 weeks!!!! thats insane!!!!

I am so tired today, I fell asleep on sofa, then went back to bed for an hour and a half, and I am still tired now, and I have a headache, which I am worried abotu cos its in the front of my head and the MW said to watch out for them cos of my high BP etc

I am going to attempt to make toad in the hole for tea tonight for the very first time eek
