MJS - with the iron stuff , i stopped my prescribed ones from doc as was really bad with the constipation and hard stools, i ahd been on tehse tablets for 2 months , and my iron went up from 9.7 to 9.8 in 2 months , after discussing with doc i said i would like to try something different and asked hima bout Floradix, he was happy for me to go on that , so i bought some from holland and barret and within a month which i ahd last blood test yesterday it has gone from 9.8 - 10.6 in 1 month , well pleased , and no horrible constipation or hard stools, (This is not medical advice) , but thought it may help you , they do tablets and medicine i went on there tablets instead of liquid

Thanks for that Nikki, I might have a look at them if my levels are still low when they take the next bloods - my levels had dropped from 12.6 to 10.8 but she reckoned if i took a couple of weeks to try and get the levels back up naturally before taking meds. I'll ask her about the Floradix next week then.

maureen - sorry just realise my earlier iron posted sounded really patronising! Sounds like your aiming the right way with the other stuff tho, I love broccoli too.

No worries Som, I didnt take it that way, just didn't want folk thinking I was daft hoping that a tin of beans would make all the difference! lol

Really struggling with heartburn today tho and not really up for eating much, did have baked beans and square sausage at breakfast... wonder if that counts for iron... probably the reason i'm suffering now tho!

Well, i am relaxing whilst dh makes dinner- we are having roast chicken and veggies, something that he does brilliantly (and probably my favourite meal).

Feeling a bit achy this eveningbut not holding otu any hope of it being anything helpful- probably just hungry :D

SJ recipe is nice and easy... 140g of butter and 150g of sugar creamed together, add 1 egg and 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla and mix all together. Then sieve in 200g s/r flour and 1 teaspoon of baking powder and mix well. I then add 100g of each choc chip, plain, milk and white and again mix well. thats it just need to drop onto a greased baking tray and cook for approx 10-12 min at 180, may need to adjust depending on your oven mine is fan assisted so gets hot and cooks quick. Oh the cookeis nearly double in size so leave plenty of speace around each one. There simple but yummy when fresh :)

Fabulous - thanks! I will give these a go tomorrow :D

Sounds lovely I love roast chicken. My DH is about to go make our tea - fajitas. I cook 99% of the time but he can do fajitas so he always makes them.

    evening all

still got jaw ache but its liveable, and weirdly massaging my face seems to help it, and being out in the cold really aggrevates it....

been to see house, was weird as woman who lives there hardly speaks any english and was showing us round so it was a bit rushed and she just giggled all the time....
she did however notice under my massive coat that im pregnant, pointed and said "baby?"..... dunno why it made me quite happy, i think its because then its real to the world, and not just me in my own little bubble :)

I think we're gonna try and get the house for 400 a month, he was after 450, but i dont think its worth that. Its defo the most liveable we've seen, nicely fitted etc, and in a good area, and now im just chomping at the bit to get out of here!!!
Plus as we discussed we're not planning on living there forever anyway so we just need it to be liveable/workable for the next year or so....

now the horrible part - haggling....

Iheartfreebies - Big Congrats! Look forward to seeing pics and reading your birth story.

Nikkit - even more labour vibes for you! Hope little man puts an appearance in soon.

Smartie - not naughty at all, very glad to have you posting on here :) I bought maternity trousers for work at 10 weeks coz mine were so tight and uncomfortable so must have been showing slightly around then.

re labour balls - I googled what you should do and it said to sit on as your main chair as it puts you at right height and in right position so that it takes pressure off your back and hips. It said to lightly bounce or rock as exercise.

I was talking to my friend about how long she had little ones in her room for, and she said she moved them both to own cot in own room at 4 months, and her sister has just done the same. She said it helped both her and baby get a better night sleep. RE the SIDS thing - I don't really understand what difference it makes whether they're in your room or not, esp if you have a baby monitor.

We're not having a monitor either - doing it old style!! I will be able to hear crying from our room and the living room and I don't want to be listening to every little movement or breath so I'm hoping not having one will help me not to be too paranoid.

My branston pickles have been strong today. Very uncomfortable and having lots. Hope this is a good sign!
