lol to the mice - it was prob the same ones over and over again!!

I love yellow, but don't see it as so much of a boys colour! and in fairness, not many places have neutral coloured clothes now!! I'd love to be able to have a surprise but don't have the patience :)

Yeah, it is always the same questions. I had my sister actually say, another girl, I bet you're disappointed aren't you?! A few others have made more subtle comments in that direction too. And actually, no, I was more disappointed when Kez was a girl coz I wanted a boy to be the family protector lol, but she has turned out so wonderfully :A I could never be disappointed in another girl!

That's awful!! I think two of the same sex is lovely as they will play together and be much closer than a brother and sister possibly would be.

After my mum told my grandma that my cousin had another little girl my grandma actually said "oh what a shame!!!" My mum said it's not a shame at all, she knew she was having a girl and that's what she wanted!!

edit I agree re lemon. I like it for a girl but would not put a boy in lemon. Have been stressing to everyone how much I dislike it lol. I'm having lemon walls in my nursery tho, it's only a boy in lemon clothes I have a dislike for :)

EA - we found out but decided to keep it a secret and I so wish we hadn't lol. (kept it a secret I mean) I hate lying all the time and having to hide my purchases. Don't know how to start telling people we know now tho :)

older mums scare me as well....
Im mean im 25 but look young and the first time we got pregnant we were really judged by our midwife at booking, who asked us whether it was planned, and we said we werent planning or preventing, just letting nature do its thing, and then she asked if we were using any form of contraception, and i said no.
And she put her pen down, and said "I dont know if they taught you this at school, but without contraception natures way is to make a baby"

    REALLY SHERLOCK!
And we were 24 at the time.....
I always wanted to have be done with the baby making by the time i was 26 anyway. It just seems like noone has babies in their mid 20's anymore...
You've either got to be 15 or 35+. its like theres no middle ground....

Gill - Why did you keep it a secret? Im curious :D

We got given a bin bag of baby clothes, but they were boys clothes. So i went through and i picked out some yellow stuff that look really girly and have kept it for the baby lol. One is a little outfit that says "Daddys little star" but it has hearts in the writing, so not really boyish at all... lol

They also gave us a pack of preemie nappies as there son was a preemie, and omg they are soooo tiny and cute! I want to put one on the cat... lol

CAFC -what a total cow! I would of been so !!!!ed off if my MW said that to me lol.

Grr CAFC what a stupid midwife. The first one I saw pretty much said the same thing, I almost lost it but calmly replied that had she read my history she'd see that I was told conceiving would be something of a miracle, therefore it was difficult to say we were either trying or not. Another midwife went on about what a disgrace 'people' were when I asked for my HIPG form, grrrrrr, hate feeling like I have to justify myself!

Lol Gill "and then there's some strange (and I do mean not all there!) ones who will say gushy things like "oooh it's so lovely to see you pregnant" (!!!!!!???!!!)" this made me laugh!!

Just got the camera out to take a bump pic to show & the battery is dead, boooooooo :(

Trying to empty out my wardrobe and hang everything up, I hate tidying. I've also just found a laptop that's about 3 years old and totally broken, thought we'd thrown it out ages ago, god I'm so messy!

eta: Does anyone know how much weight we are reckoned to lose at birth? I'm trying to decide whether to order a wedding dress or not...and if I do, what size to get it in, without being unrealistic? Tried looking online but can't see anything that says...

I'll admit I did get a bit high and mighty and played the "well you obviously werent listening, because as I said we were letting nature do its thing, hence not using contraception and being very happy about being pregnant".....

Got any spares in that bag EA LOL

And awww at premmie nappies... at what stage do people start buying up stuff like cotton wool and nappies etc?
I really am so impatient, 21 weeks and I just want everything done now LOL....

Little L has been generally quiet today, although after my wagon wheel and squash he woke up. Had a really crap nights sleep, and I made a point of telling DH last night exactly why I was mad at him... he didnt say much but he hasnt moaned about how rubbish he feels yet LOL

tee hee hee im shameless when it comes to baby stuff now...

ive even emailed my mum links to all the baby clubs so she can get me xtras of everything :)

I dont want to buy too much too early on, one for storage with the eventual move and then second because then what am i gonna do when im like 36 weeks with nowt to do LOL

BiL might have some paid work via the company he works for, for me, IT based software manual updates, done a bit of a dummy section for him to send to them, so im hoping..... plus he reckons £10+ p/h can be charged as freelance so that would be good!
