ok veggie stew is cooking away slowly...

Ive even been really good and chopped all my "cruddy" (as DH now calls them) vegetables for dipping in some sour cream, I cannot eat walkers all day.

I know I should be thankful that my DH shows a little bit of knowledge with cruddy as in crudite, but when he's walking around sainsburys yelling up the aisle at me "What about these for cruddy veg?" whilst waving avocado at me.... I did pretend to not know him LOL

ive got carrot, cucumber, yellow and red pepper, and one of those 4 pack selections of dip, now all I want is some cheese and pitta bread to go with.... might have to venture out tomorrow :)

    Hi again everyone

Sorry I haven't been able to log on for a few weeks but have been quite busy. It's all those little jobs that need a whole day to do that seems to be taking the time!!
I now have nine working days left until my maternity leave begins and still feeling fine. Little bits and bobs like the trapped nerve and bad back are still with me but they're little really!
Hope evereyone is okay and enjoying their pregnancy as much as I am! I will be 37 weeks pregnant this coming Thursday. I could do it for another nine months actually!

    Evening ladies

Kindof i deffo think your bump looks bigger now but i also think it has dropped a little since the 33 wk pick :-)

EA that vid is amazing joey bubs was really active when i was carrying him but everytime i got the camera out he stopped and refused to move until i put it away he must have had a sixth sense. Funny really as he does the same now when we are watching him play if we try to take pics or a vid he just stops and wont do it anymore. :-)

cafc your making me drool stop it :rotfl: ive gone veggi crazy this time specially dipped in guacamole:drool:

thing is I only really like sour creme and chive dip.... but it was 1.20 for a pot of that, or 99p for the 4 pack selection and you get basically the same amount....

I need to figure out something to do with the other 3. Obviously I'll give them a try but just in case i dont like them so much.... any suggestions for getting them into a meal somewhere?

  • hi!

EA that video is amazing :D

Kindof I think your bump looks bigger now! And you are another one who seems to be all bump!

CAFCgirl i am craving some "cruddy veg" now and sour cream dip, mmm.

Som glad your sis is getting better :)

sorry if I've missed anyone out it took me ages to catch up

EDIT: after all the mcdonald's milkshake talk the other day we went and got one on Friday night (we have a McD's just down the road, only the 2nd time I've been there!) Got a vanilla milkshake and it was sooo good :D

Can't believe some of the comments that you have been writing about from rude people! It's crazy what people think, and then actually say out loud... the day I told everyone at work I was pregnant, I had 2 well rude comments from girls who sit in my row. My office is open plan and you can basically hear everything even from the other side of the room. The first one said, loudly "So was it planned or was it a happy accident?" I was so shocked, if I had been less shocked I would have said something about that not being appropriate, but instead I muttered that it was planned, but that we would have been happy if it was an accident. When I said that she said "Oh, did you do the whole, married for a year and then have a baby thing?" for a start, we've been married for well over a year, for second, since when does everyone have such a rigid life plan? We just always said we'd try for a baby when we felt the time was right.

Then a girl at the end of the row said even louder "So how long had you been trying?" WHAT???? who says things like that. I did refuse to answer that which I'm glad about. I don't get why it's anyone's business, at the end of the day you are pregnant and happy about it so everyone else should be happy for you!!

I got a bit down earlier because I feel like I'm really unconnected to the baby. At the moment I am having trouble believing there is anything in there, even having seen the scan which was amazing at the time now I just feel like I'm fat and sick. I just can't wait to feel him/her move but it won't be for a few weeks yet. I'm going to a MW appointment next week where she's going to listen for the heartbeat so I'm hoping that will help :)

Had a nice evening, went swimming with my friend which was lovely and then had homemade ham & lentil soup that I made yesterday in slow cooker for tea. Yum! Shattered now though, gonna head for bed soon I think.

Aw! Glad your loving being pregnant. With DD I loved every second of it. Any probs I had I would shrug off with "it's what I signed up for" and really missed my bump once she was born.

This time round, I feel too rushed to enjoy it as much. It's not that I'm not liking it, there is no negative thoughts, just feel like it's going so quickly that it's passing me by. I'm feeling the tiredness much more, and the sickness too- and just feel like moaning about stuff, though I mostly refrain :D I think all my patience is used up on DD throughout the day, as I don't want her to miss her usual routine of going out to activities and to see friends so we are very busy. I am trying to slow down a bit though as the so called burst of energy in the second trimester has evaded me so far!

    Moan over! lol!

EA - we decided to keep it a secret that we knew so that it would be a surprise for everyone when baby was born. My parents were saying we shouldn't find out and they didn't want to know, as were a couple of people at work. Plus I thought everyone would be more bothered/excited about it being born if they didnt know. Seriously wish I hadn't bothered and am soooo tempted to start telling people. It's a shame there's no more scans really or I could say we found out then! I have told 5 of my closest friends and my boss tho (I just can't keep my trap shut!!) and I tell anyone who I don't know :) It also means I have to hide all the boys stuff that I'm buying!!

Kindof - love your bump pic :) Must get DH to do one of me.
