Popped into home bargains today and noticed they had:

Foam bath inserts to support bubs for £1.99

Moses baskets with mattress £19.99 (in yellow or lavendar)

Huggies newborn packs for £3.29 (not sure if thats good or not??)

Lovely baby bath towels in bright colours £2.99

Little baby t-shirts in white or pink with 'special delivery' on front. £1.99 (they came in cute little cotton drawstring bags so would make a nice small pressie if you know anyone who has just popped!)

Packs of swim nappies 99p (not essential for babies I know but if some of you already have littlies may be useful)

And loads of other baby stuff. The baby section looked packed whereas normally it is quite sparse. HTH.

Yorky, may just be the brand comes up big, or maybe you have lost weight on other bits as baby is using what it needs. This happened with me 1st time round (no such luck this time :D) my thighs got smaller even though I was gaining weight due to bump. If you get same brand I wld prob go down a size.

If you can be bothered, may be worth a trip round town just to try on some different shops maternity stuff. Then you have a good idea of what fit's and what to look on ebay for. I'm in my maternity trousers from 1st pregnancy, and they are really stretched on the bump bit, which is a pain as they slip down a bit, but at least I'm not flashing my builders bum like in my normal trousers done up with a hair-tie over the button!! :D

Does anyone have an opinion on Graco Elite Travel System in Lemongrass which we have seen in BabiesRUs and are pretty keen on??

I have the Graco Quattro DLX but it looks exactly the same (only I got all the extras with it, carry cot, changing bag, foot muff, etc, etc). I like it, though you will need a big car boot (it just fits nicely in my Almera). It folds down very easily and it's easy to change positions / put in the different combinations. That said, it's still 20 weeks before I can play with it properly! I think we managed to get it from the above site for £250 so it might be worth having a shop around.

    hi all....

im am an absolute mess today.
Have been awake since 2am with the worst bout of toothache since the dawn of time, have taken paracetamol which didnt even touch the sides. Got out of bed at 6am, and put washing on, loaded dishwasher, did ironing, and then a shower, sat on floor of shower for 20 minutes as i was so tired, then took me 15 mins of sitting on bathroom floor air drying before i got up......

chatted to my sister for a bit before she left for work, and then i was just laying on the sofa as DH seemed to have taken up the whole bed last night which was irritating me even more.... dozed for about 15 minutes and then dried m hair. DH was stirring by this point so i sat on my side of the bed and just cried, like sobben uncontrollably, im in so much pain...

    And still no exemption form!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It is killing me..... i keep bursting into tears, tried a hot water bottle on side of my face, gona try another dose of paracetamol in an hour or so. I hate taken painkillers but everyone has told me its safe...

Oh no CAFC, tooth ache is the worst, have you got a dental hospital you can go to? Or are you registered with a dentist who might let you be seen without your form (mine did before it came)?
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j

I am 36+6 today and I am so bored!!! I need to repack the hospital bag today as we had all of the cloth nappies out it it last night and now nothing fits back in!

Have the m/w this afternoon- not expecting her to say much- still don't think that baby is engaged at all... :(

I am very ready to be a Mummy now- just need a baby!!!!

I am ready too!! 38 weeks today and I want him/her out!! Ha ha!! I'm actually feeling quite uncomfortable when sat in chairs now, sofa isn't too bad though and birth ball is ok.

You might be surprised to find baby has started to engage especially if this is your first. I didn't think bubs had engaged at all at my app a week last Sat but turned out I was 1/5! Told today I'm about 2/5 engaged so certainly moving in the right direction :D

Everything else fine with appointment. Only thing was MW said that in the last month they had been quite busy for HBs and 2 women had had to go into hospital cos there wasn't anyone to come out to them  I so, so, so hope that doesn't happen to me :(

I feel a real lazy bones today, barely moved from bed :o Managed to get loads of cleaning done yesterday and am exhausted now, need to go to the shop for milk & loo roll & want to make some fishcakes with the abundance of salmon I found in the freezer, but just can't motivate myself. I think my bump has disappeared too, I've just looked in the mirror & it's shrunk! Will take a pic once the battery's are charged :D

Lots of cleaning yesterday = you deserve a rest today!! :D

Kindof great news on the cc! I wish I could transfer mine.

Choccy lovely bump!! So nice and neat!

Well it's raining and miserable here today. Don't have to go out again today though so I'm chilling out with my joggers, knee high slipper socks and massive comfy cardigan! Got homemade carrot and parsnip soup for lunch too that I'll have when DH gets home from football. (Just had a chicken sandwich though which was lovely  )

Aww CAFC that's awful. Do you know what's causing the pain?

I would def do as GF suggests though and ring the dentist, explain the situation and see if there's anything they can do

How annoying is this, got my car seat (Primo Viaggio from Mamas & Papas) but don't have the instructions so gone online to find them. The website says it can be used with either the SUREFIX base or without a base (just using the car seatbelts) but when I look at the instructions it only gives them for the SUREFIX base and says it must be used with that. Hmmm. Might need to try it in the car and see if we can work it out ourselves. It does seem to have a place on the back for the seatbelt to go into

Anyone else have this car seat?
