ahhh the elusive skittles milkshake LOL
Basically blender, milk, ice cream and a handful of skittles (i pick out the red, orange and purple ones), literally need maybe 10 skittles for a tall glass) and blend away..... you might need to tilt blender about a bit so all the skittles get mashed, but I love it....
You can also put vodka in it as a cocktail but i dont drink (pregnant or otherwise) so I make mine virgin.....
in the end didnt make it, felt really rubbish so had a bath, my legs and hips are killing me and for the past week ive been suffering with really bad circulation in my legs, they are like ice, and really pale and blotchy.....
DH is doing my nut. Im like trying to involve him in pregnancy, telling him about the free clubs i sign up to etc, aches and pains and its like he's always suffering more than me. He gave my calf a quick rub when he walked past and i asked if he could do it a bit more, help the circulation and he starts going on about how tight his muscles are, and i should be massaging his, and making me feel his legs, and i said i wouldnt because i felt too rough, so he jut b*ggers off to wait for MOTD.....
He really winds me up!!!!!
And now I want mcdonalds.............
but i've just sat here and cried instead.....Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Morning! Urgh, heartburn sucks, it's woken me up early - again
CAFC - yeah I've been drinking RLT, can't say it's my favourite thing ever but it's OK. Might do curry tonight but I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to spices so I don't like it hot and then there's the heartburn to followSPD - for me it started like someone had kicked me in the foof, right in the middle of my pubic bone in the front. Now I can barely walk to the corner shop as everytime I walk it puts my hips and knees out so I'm all wonky. Yup, simple things like getting up/sitting down/getting in and out of bed are extremely painful. When I turn over at night my pelvis clicks or crunches_pale_. I look and feel like an old granny :rotfl:My advice would be to speak to your midwife about seeing a physio although to be honest there's not much they can do. Excercises, tubigrip, co-codemol and a tens machine are all the things I've tried and I've ended up just trying not to do alot and waiting it out as nothing was helping. The next step would be crutches or induction and neither appealed. When I see the physio it's a little more comfortable for a few days as she does a bit of manipulation and puts everything back where it should be but it doesn't last long. I'm just hoping it's true that it disappears shortly after birth, I can't wait to feel better!
SJ - thanks for the tip, last time brought on terrible heartburn so put me off a bitIt sucks (no pun intended), we normally have a fab sex life and I feel like there's no knowing how long it'll be until we can get back into it after so to speak so we should be doing it while we can but we can't
Great bump EA! Baby girl is always sticking her bum out, sometimes it's sooo uncomfortable but very cool
Thanks for the labour vibes - keep em coming!0 -
Morning all
EA & IHF - must be a girl thing cos have oken up several times now to find a bum sticking out lol.
EA - nice neat bump and doesnt look big at all to me, fingers crossed for no phone call today
IHF - Your SPD sounds the same as mine tho I had a belt instead of a tubi grip! And agree not much seems to make it better, tho I do find some time if baby shifts its not as bad. My physio recommended an ice pack but havent tried it yet, she wants me to go in for crutches too, but I figure as I fin work on tuesday I may just leave it, but am in 2 minds as things like food shopping are really uncomfy and dont want to be house bound for the last few weeks. Oh and lovely, easy labour vibes for you x
CAFC - milkshake sounds yummy, and dont worry about OH, mine can be like that sometimes, its a man thing! All though in his defence he is getting better.
SJ - got that voucher too, waste of time really!
Right but in gear time again, 2nd to last day at work! Cant believe how fast mat leave came around, its gonna be real odd having so much time off and no real plans. Think I'll empty out my locker today have so much crap I've gathered at work, may take 2 trips.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

I haven't posted on here for ages, I can't keep up all the time, but I do lurk!
I've got my 20 week scan this morning! So I'll post any news later on. We aren't finding out the sex of bubs though (unless it is glaringly obvious!) as DH doesn't want to know. We didn't find out with DD either and I actually really didn't want to know with her, but this time I really want to know! I couldn't keep it a secret though so it's not practical.

Morning everyone
I think im going crazy.. :rotfl: I was in bed and i could hear something vibrating, so i looked at my phone, it wasn't that. And OH has his phone. So i was laying there trying to work out where it was coming from. I figured it must be by the alarm clock so i got up and walked over, but as soon as i got there the vibrating stopped...
So i get back into bed and the vibrating started again! And when i slowly walked over it stopped again
So i got out of bed in frustration lol.Sarah_Joanne wrote: »Wow!! Fab bump EA!!
So, you've got 4 packs of size 1 nappies plus another 2? If so I'd mayeb hold off buying any more til you see how big Lily is when she's all cooked! You might find you have enough, and you've certainly got enough to last until you can get more if you need to. Just a thought anyway.
Well DH has just popped out to McDonalds after all this milkshake talk! I've got chicken nuggets and a cheeseburger ordered too. Oops.
No, i have 4 packs. I didn't word it properly lol. I have 4 packs, and i put 1 in the changing box and 1 in the labour bag, so now i have 2 packs out. I found loads of coupons though so if i do need more i can use themIheartfreebies wrote: »Great bump EA! Baby girl is always sticking her bum out, sometimes it's sooo uncomfortable but very cool
It must be a girl thing! lol. When she does it my bump goes really tight and i sometimes have to push her back into position :rotfl:
Labour vibes for IHF and SJ!

Sarah_Joanne wrote: »Ha ha don't do two bags! I have visions of you picking up the wrong one and getting to your weekend away with a bag full of baby sleepsuits, nappies and an old nighty!! Ha ha :rotfl:
Oh my goodness - that sounds like something i would totally do!!! I got new jammies for the hospital so gonna take a shiny new pair away with me! Cant wait, Fri nite away with a bunch of ladies and some spiritual uplifting!quick q on spd, what exactly does it feel like? Theres something weird going on in my hips and pelvis but i cant work out if its just my ligaments getting softer, but it really hurts to get up and down from chairs, and bed....
CAFC - thats what my spd is like, felt weird at first and now just hurts a lot. I had this with dd 4years ago and it totally disappears within a few hours of the birth, of course that doesn't help the pain up till then! lol
I saw the physio last week and figured it wouldn't be anything different than last time round but she gave us a few exercises to do - deep stomach muscles, abdominal muscles and pelvic floor excercises - apparently doing these help hold the pelvis more securely and help stop the grinding feeling with the movements. She also recommended tightening these muscles when sitting/standing/lying down just for the initial movements to help keep the pelvis steady. Might be worth getting a physio appointment i kept putting it off but glad i went in the end.
Well, me and dd are having a mr maker monday morning so off to get the paint and gloopy glue out for some messy making fun! lol She wants to do something with kitchen roll... have no idea! :rotfl:

Hello all, haven't been on all weekend so trying to catch up!! Re McD's milkshakes - I thought we weren't allowed them for the same reasons as whippy ice creams? Was told no McFlurrys by MW and she thought milkshakes would be same as similar machine when I asked?
Didn't end up going to the theatre, me and OH stayed at home and had a MASSIVE row instead
Hormones etc and not knowing what to wear ended up getting to me, had been fretting about it for ages, also wanted my hair cut for ages but hadn't got round to it - mainly coz I hate that hairdressers always cut too much off!! And he got home to find me sat in a towel crying, which he flipped out about coz I was supposed to be ready. Had an awful night, so glad it happened when dd was out. Had a strop and cut a huge chunk out of my hair to spite us both and made myself feel even worse - took about 6 inches off 1 sideLuckily once we sorted everything out, next morning, he put in hair extensions for me lol has done a really good job considering he's never done anything to do with hair before!! Am just ridiculously easily upset at mo, and don't feel like I did with dd. I really really loved her to bits when I was pg, yet with this one I don't really feel anything? Am protective and wouldn't do anything to harm, but don't think I've got that overpowering love like I had before. Am really hoping that will change once she's born, but am stressing about that too. And the fact that I don't quite believe I am pregnant ? It's 21 weeks I really should by now!!

hugs mermaid,
wheni was around the 20 + weeks , i had terrible hormone problems , i even told my OH i didnt want this baby and didnt want him either told him to pack hes bags and get out , i walked out the house leaving my other 3 children in the house and was so upset, it was ridiculous , my OH was so worried about me and didnt know what to do so even called my mum to calm me down ,I even wrote on my FB , i wish this pregnancy was not here , it was awful i cant believe i said and wrote so awful stuff
It gets better promise , please try not to worry , xx
I am so glad my OH didnt listen to me and took it over hes head or i think i would of been here on my own going through itDont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0 -
Thanks nikkit, glad I'm not the only one getting like that!! I've said pretty much the same things to him, am really really horrible and regret it when I'm saying it but can't help it!!0
