not mine! I've spent the afternoon/evening batch cooking because the freezer got empty (and I couldn't resist all the yellow stickered stuff in sainsburys!)

Well done, we have a spare chest freezer in the garage that I am so tempted to turn on for batch cooking but I dont know what to cook, sainsburys had some awesome beef and meat offers!

I'm here as well but I keep nipping off to read the debt free diaries

Just checked our nappies we have

    2 x Pampers size 1

Beany just moved so much I thought he was going to jump out of my belly lol

  • Evening Ladies,

SJ and DP - thanks for the info re cutting the cord, I hadn't heard of waiting for it to stop pulsing before but definately adding it into my birth plan.

So far i've got 3 packs of Huggies size 1's and a pack of Huggies size 3's that were left overs from my DD 4years ago!! She wasn't in the small nappies for very long so I'm gonna wait and get them as needed this time round.

I bought packets of wipes from Aldi's today, the Mamia sensitive ones, found them really great for my DDs skin last time round and we still always have a packet in the house for sticky fingers etc. They're 99p for 80 wipes, I know pampers/johnsons etc on offer just now but even the packs these come in are great - they have the plastic clippy seal on too rather than just a sticky plastic seal so I find they stay moist even if they've been opened for weeks.

Oh and i bought nappy sacks too!
And a pile of 75% off Boots Christmas gift sets for next Christmas!! and a wee something for myself with great smelling body butters and shower gels!

hope everyone has a good nite

I'm here too but keep getting distracted, OH is out with kids so i have my lappy and the TV remote,,,spoiled for choice tonight lol

I have a craving for red meat, i have a lovely bit of steak in the freezer but it would mean defrosting in the micro and i hate that, think i'll send OH a text to bring take away in.

And i think i need a cork actually 2 would be good, one to stop me eating and the other to stop me peeing every 2 seconds lol going threw toilet roll like their is no tomorrow:mad:

Welcome back three!!!! I was thinking the other day we have gone through so much more loo roll than usual in the last few months - must have cost a fortune!!!
Oh I like the sound of that hot chocolate! I think I've got some white choc hot chocolate sachets, so I may try that with another (!) cookie...

Awww. I want a hot white choc and a cookie. [insert thanps feet smiley here!]

Actually, I do have some cookie dough ice cream that I'm about to eat so it's not all bad.

Oops my bad got a bit too carried away with the ones was supposed to be 11 packs, not sure where I'd put a 111!!! So far we have in size 1's we have..

    6 Nature care
    1 Sainsburys Eco
    3 Huggies
    1 Pampers

There could be more but there mostly at ILs as we dont have the space!

Could really enjoy a hot choc atm, but need to drink my RLT! Not such a chore but seem to have turned into a chocolate monster lately.

SJ - thats good that your pool has a cover and OH is all set to top up :) Am sure will all be good x

EA - there even cuter than the pic shows them and am sure more pink too, they will be fab on the car seat and a bargain for bright starts :D Wow for 3 boxes!

32b - yeay for having lappy back :) And agree on the loo roll front, we use far more now and I expect that'll go up again when I finnish work lol.

Kindof - I noticed that overlap too, specially on the nature care nappies, think thats why sainsburys doesnt stock size 2 cos 1 and 3 over lap anyhoo let alone size 2! Am jelous of your extra freezer and garage space. What are Debt free diaries?

    redstar - Mmmm cookies :D

esio - go you on the batch cooking, really need to defrost my freezer so I can begin the stocking up. Tho OH has said he is happy to cook when bubs first comes home so that a bonus :D

maureen - wish I was as organized as you with xmas shopping, but yeay :)

Well poppped over to ILs to drop off washing and when we got there they were just sitting down to fish n chips so MIL sent OH out to get us some too :D Were tres yummy and a bonus after throwing out incident earlier. She had a vienetta in the freezer too, so that was dessert and even better she had choc sauce to go with it :D So all in all not a bad evening in the end, I'm so easily pleased lol.

Off to watch a video as OH is trying to run the batteries out on the remote and i may have to hit him with it:mad:

Keep the labor vibes coming as bubs seems to have settled in for the long haul,:(

labour vibes to 3!!!!! and anyone else that needs them!
A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

Where does the time go?
  • I need to think of somehting else to batch cook next - got chilli, bolognaise, curry and mashed potato in the freezer so far (10 portions of each) - I'd really like another 3 different things so we can have a week's worth of different meals. Got a few portions of potato and celeriac and a few of potato and sweet potato mash to planning on having them with sausages and a tin of sweetcorn or frozen peas so that's still a pretty easy to make meal. DH can make that too!

I'm tired and thirsty but I can't be bothered to get up off the sofa. Just been lurking over on the parent thread ready for the big move over soon!

Som I'm looking forward to putting the pool up and seeing how it looks, how big it is etc. Cos I bought ot off a friend I don't really know much about it!!

    ETA labour vibes three!!!!

    Hi again all

    Thanks for the congrats.
Went round to see DH's parents today, took them a copy of scan piccie that we got for them, and they just went "oh...great" and put it on the side without even looking.... and then his step mum kept going on about how this is their 7th grandchild and theyve been round the block, and I KNOW I shouldnt have, but I retorted..... and said "well this is our first, and your first grandchild from your youngest"..... i think she twigged after that.....

So spent the morning going through the list of baby stuff so far, and here it is.
There's a few gaps in the ages but its helpful to keep stock, so we dont just keep buying the same thing....

Yes that's exactly what pram sheets are

Sorry the in-laws weren't too excited. My mum has a lot going on at the moment and hasn't been as excited as I'd hoped for, and this is her first grandchild :(
