Thats what someone said on one of the other forums i found.
Someone else suggested putting it at the end of the cot if you really want it there aswell
Think i shall go with Tesco, dont want to get changing brands all the time. I need to stock up on baby wipes, im getting the 6 pack box of Johnson and Johnsons for £5 in asda
I use them for removing my make up to so might get a few boxes!0 -
They've got boxes of 12 packs of (I think) Pampers sensitive wipes for £8 in Asda just now too, I got a box yesterday :money:0

Hi EA i wouldnt buy to many of one type of nappy i bought loads of tesco ones and they really didnt suit my bubs couldnt get them to fit right so we stick with pampers now :-) x:jFriends are like fabric you can never have enough:j0

Hey ladies just wanted to add to the bumper talk, at work we dont recommend them after bubs can sit up. One of the risks is that they will use them as an aid to climb out of there cot, so when they can sit up they have the potential strength to do that. So depending on their ability to sit up you may have to do away with them as early as 4 months or as late as 12 months! I wasn't going to get one as I view them more fo decoration (unless you spend a fortune on a long bumper that goes all the way around!), but ended up with 2 as they came in the sets I bought.
EA - good research on the nappies have heard good things about tesco's own brand too. We plan on using the Nature Care brand (as long as baby gets on with them), but what with freebies have a bit of a miss mash of nappies atm, inc Nature Care, Huggies, Pampers and Sainsburys Eco nappies! Have about 111 packs of size 1 atm. Also have lots of wipes too in variety of brands but dont plan to use those forever, but like you use them for make up and other stuff!
SJ - Yeay for picking up pool, does yours have a heater? Do we get pics of the Nursery soon if its nearly all built?
LittleAngels - welcome to the forum and congrats, the girls have already made some fab recommendations for places to buy a cot bed but ultimatley what you choose will be down to you as prices and styles do vary. As for bedding this again is somewhat down to personal preferance, do you plan on using sleeping bags? if so that will cut back the amount of sheets and/or blankets you require. How organised you'll be when it comes to washing will decide how many changes you need but obviously the min would be two. Asda have some nice bedding sets at £25 but look about as you can pick up lots of goodies in the sale atm, I know Mothercare have 3 ranges being discontinued atm that are all reduced. Also Matalan is really great value and quality for bedding and sleeping bags
Well rug all collected, did have a temporary panic that it might not fit in the car but its all goodAsda picked up some pink long sleeve vests and these otherwise we resisted quite well. OH did talk me into buying some plastic drawers for bathroom to store baby stuff, but I see his reasoning and actually makes life alot easier
Am a bit pee'd off with him tho for wasting food, the chicken we were supposed to be having tonight he said is slimey and has thrown away, even tho to me it looks fine and is still in date! That and the fact he bought bagels in a flavour I dont like and has not eaten those either and they are out of date, grr at the wastage, we dont have that money to throw away! I wouldn't mind but its becoming a regular occurance

Yes Som, as soon as it's finished I'll be taking pics to post on here
My pool doesn't have a heater so I'm hoping it'll stay warm enough. Will have DH filling and boiling the kettle and stock pot to warm it up a bit if needs be but I guess we'll just see how it goes. I do have a heat cover so should stay warm while it's filling up.0 -

We have about 160 size 1's!!! Pretty sure we'll need to swap some for bigger sizes. Have some size 2's as well but can't remember how many!0 -
SJ - If you have the heating on to that should keep the water warm
Som - Im hopefully going to buy the travelling trio toys aswell! I see them on the website today and thought i must have them! lol.
We've been throwing away alot of food. I buy for myself when OH is at work as i fancy it at the time. But when it comes to me actually eating it i cant face it, then it goes out of date and gets thrown away.
I bought some eggs cause i fancied an omlette and then the thought of eating one made me feel sick, so i've had to throw the eggs out.
My mum has bought me the Johnsons change time box, it was very kind of her, but its our 3rd one!! lol. So now we have two white ones and a lilac one. I talked my nan out of buying one before as i already had one, but the IL's got one and now my mum has.
So im having one for the nursery, one for our room and one for the living room. So everything is in reach what ever room im in, unless im downstairs in the kitchen then i have to come back up here lol.
I tested each brand of baby wipes on my face, i have senstive skin so i thought it was the closest thing to a babys bum, and the only brand that i got on with was Johnsons. I think it was huggies and co-op brand gave me spots, and the pampers felt a bit weird.
Wipes shouldn't dry out if i leave them sealed is that correct? Cause i want to get quite a fair few tomorrow
eta: If i do have 7 packs of size one nappies, then i have 189 individual nappies lol. Using around 10 per day works out they will last me for 18 days :O0 -

Yes but Som said she had 111 PACKS of size one's lol
Ive no idea if we have enough, but I realised that there is a big llb overlap on the 2's and 3's you can practically miss out the 2's so we didnt buy many cos we will see how we go cos he might go to 3's more than 2's does that make sense lolDebt £30,823.48/£44,856.56 ~ 06/02/21 - 31.28% Paid OffMortgage (01/04/09 - 01/07/39)
