Aaargghh! I got lots of maternity jeans from Next in the sales and when they got delivered it turned out I was thinner than I thought
and that I CAN'T wear under the bump jeans. Two of the pairs fitted me perfectly but they inched down ever time I moved! So I had to take them back .
- How can I make under bump jeans stay up??
- Where can I get over the bump trousers/jeans that don't produce the unsightly looseness at the front? Nobody seems to sell any!
This evening I was sat on the sofa poking belly as hadn't felt baby move for ages. And he wouldn't budge. Cue scary thoughts. Oh wasn't nearly as bothered.

Woke up with a BH, then needed to pee and now can't get back to sleep
Agutka, not sure about jeans. I have the same problem with anything under bump falling down. I got a nice pair of over bump combats from H&M but I've grown out of them now - they leave marks on my bump!
I'm finding over bump leggings from ASOS.com the most comfortable thing now although I have other leggings from peacocks that aren't bad too. Didn't like the ones from La Redoute as they are supposed to be over bump but they only go halfway up and aren't as good a shape so they fall down when I walk (and really pi55 me off!)
Hope you get some movement tomorrow. Try an ice cold drink while laying still for half an hour, alternatively a coke can do the trick.0 -
Morning all, hope everyone is well.
Underbump jeans are a pain :mad: mine fall down all the time and i feel like i spend all my time tugging them up to avoid builders bum:rotfl: best maternity stuff i have are not even maternity, leggings from Asda, cheap but effective, other things were hipsters pre pregnancy but are like underbump without the bands etc great for in the house or with cardigans when out.
SJ what about making stews and casseroles, one pot wonders as i call them i cook them with potatoes and veg already in so i just defrost heat and serve with bread. And don't overlook HM soup, when you are tired with bubs and need quick and healthy food for a snack/lunch it's a god send.[STRIKE]Little bump 3 on it's way[/STRIKE]:j

With my under bump jeans i wear a boob tube ( bump band but cheaper ) and a belt on loosely and they stay up great HTH, i have this problem with over bump , they never stay up , i usually live in normal leggings as find them so comfortable, i only have 2 maternity jeans and 4 maternity tops , i live in nrmal clothes still and only 28 days left too.
With all this batch cooking talk , i never did this with my other 3 , ive no plans with this one either , even when i had all my 3 just after my youngest was born ( 3 under 3 at the time ) i still managed to do things normally , never felt i never had time to do stuff i.e cooking, housework , getting eldest to playschool etc , it sounds like im superwoman , but believe me im not , it just came natuarally ,
RLT tasting a little better now, i cant believe its only 28 days left , im all ready though , except decideing where to have little man , it still scares me about mk general , also scares me about HB tooDont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0 -
Thanks girls. I can't say I have the legs for leggings
, but really should stop caring, anything better than the constant tugging. My mum is suggesting szelki - can't remember the english word, you know the long elastic that clips to pants and goes over your shoulder (idiot mode engaged). :rotfl:
Oh and don't worry Sarah Joanne, he started moving after an hour or so, when I stopped prodding . Definitely fine this morning.

Kindof - I noticed that overlap too, specially on the nature care nappies, think thats why sainsburys doesnt stock size 2 cos 1 and 3 over lap anyhoo let alone size 2! Am jelous of your extra freezer and garage space. What are Debt free diaries?
I know I should really use it, but I am not so great at thinking of meals to cook to put in there? so thats why we havent turned it on yet
Debt Free Diaries is a board on here where people post their journeys to becoming debt free, I go there for inspiration http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.html?f=177 I'd like to start one soon

I often do a mince base (so can be turned into spag bol, chilli and cottage pie), beef stew, sausage casserole and lots of soup. Potatoes get done if I've lots left at the end of the week and if I have space (tiny freezer). If you've milk left over and about to go out, white sauce freezes quite well and saves a bit faff when you want a quick tea like cheesy pasta.
Nikkit, I'm not batch cooking for baby coming (still 22 weeks away!) but because I'm too lazy to cook every night when I get home from work - so having some lazy meals already prepared that can be flung in the oven is quite nice! Having to do a bit more than usual though because I ran the freezer down to defrost it the other week. I like the OS boards for ideas.

I bought a three pack of bump bands for a tenner from New Look - they seem to do the trick with some of the jeans I have that are still a shade too big. Failing that, a long vest top that can be tucked in works (though I don't fancy trying that trick in the middle of summer)0 -
koind of , the best roasties i have ever made and still make now is by using maris pipers potatoes boil for 20 minutes , drain , heat goose fat to bubbling then put potatoes in turn every half hour until golden and crispy and they are gorgeous and crispy , if no goose fat use cooking oil , not olive oil though as it gives them to much oily taste,
ah ok ET , ive never batch cooked so i wouldnt know the difference :PDont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0 -
Morning
Agutka - they call them braces (unless your in US then I think they call them suspenders lol). like nikkit I found a bump band worked on my underbump jeans, now tho I think they are just too small cos I feel like am being cut in half some days! Atm I live in yooga pants from Peacocks, there only £10 and can be worn either over or under bump as they have a fold over waist band design. There nice and stretchy too and will do post birth for a good while.
32b - yeay for take awayand more labour vibes for you xxx
SJ - Im with 32b stews and casseroles are fab for freezing and tbh will probably just make a few portions of that for our freezer, add some Iceland type ready meals and OH cooking some days and that will do us. Like nikkit dont wanna get to comfy and want to resume normal service asap IYKWIM.
CAFC - wowser thats a big 'ol list! mind you think mine would take up several pages too if I listed, but yeay for a fab startand a good mix of sizes.
Well just had peanut butter sarnies for breakfastthat and a coffee, OH will oblige with some sausage sarnies later
hopefully beef will defrost in time and we'll be having roast for dinner too followed by carrott cake, how sad that all I can think of is food lol! Gonna teach OH how to put car seat in later, should be intresting! He is also gonna build the bouncer he says, haha I know he's carp at these things so no doubt I'll end up doing it.

Morning
Im 34 weeks today, which means i can start my 2nd RLT a day :j
I might have one in the afternoon and one in the evening
Need to purchase some EPO today aswell
Underbump jeans = I also bought a pair in a size bigger than i am normally (i thought i got bigger lol) and they dont fit me, so what i tend to do is roll the wasitband down to make them slightly tighter and as they are baggy jeans anyway i get away with the looseness in the leg
Batch cooking = If you have a '99p stores' near you they do the plastic take away containers, i think its 5 for 99p, or something similar. I wrote my batch cooking list, well the start of it. Im doing it because when OH is at work i dont tend to eat during the day cause i hate cooking for one. And he's moaning at me to eat more so if i have some meals in the freezer i can microwave them and eat healthily prepared meals
Starting with: Corned Beef Hash, Sheppards Pie and Lasagne. I also havea pack of cheese sauce mix and a big bag of frozen veggies to for if i need a change
Woo! Just called my dad and he's picking me up at 12
We're going to get my charm bracelet and then some lunch and then to the baby event! :j:j
Welcome back 3! Hope you enjoyed your take out last night!Labour vibes for you!!
eta: Forgot to say, we have our car seat now. Its currently in the nursery with a teddy strapped in....lol
eta: [again! lol] Asda do calcium and epo tabs for much cheaper than H&B, but the EPO tabs say 10,000mg. Is this a typo? Cause the other ones are 500mg, and in H&B they are 1000mg i believe.0
