    Thanks Glam :)

Just waiting on a phone call from the diabetes MW, see what she says.

I thought i had it for a few weeks, but nothing was showing in my urine, then the blood test showed borderline and then had +4 for glucose y'day.
  • Hi Babygirl and welcome :)
Sorry your having such a difficult time but I hope you carry on having a good pregnancy.

Well I only got up half an hour ago, I never used to be able to sleep in past 9 yet since I’ve been pregnant I just can’t get up in the morning! I have been summoned to do my sisters make up later as she has a party (she’s 11) but otherwise nothing much to do. :D

its my wedding aninversary today 10 years i cant beleive it, i got married at 18:eek: it was my bday on monday just gone and my friends bought me a willow tree pregnant lady like this http://www.amazon.co.uk/Willow-Tree-26082-Cherish/dp/B0012LXWZ6 oh i was overwhelmed bless them its called cherish "awaiting a miracle" i love it

Congratulations! And a belated happy birthday! I don't normally like any ornament type things but those Willow Tree ones are lovely. I had secretly hoped somone might get me that one but as everyone knows I don't normally like stuff it's no surprise I didn't get one really!!!!

this thread moves way too fast, i am never gonna keep up! :D

another thing about waiting to cut the cord, apparently it's best for the baby to get its "full quota" of the blood that's in it and when it's cut straight away it doesn't get this.

thanks for the advice on TENS machines, i am going to borrow one but you've made me realise i need to check if it's suitable first!

Can i ask if anyone is planning a home birth? I really want one and am just doing my research atm...

You'll find time to keeo up - it's addictive!! That's my reason for not wanting the cord cut straight away. Also I am planning a home birth. I found the www.homebirth.org.uk a really useful site. A friend of a friend had a HB in November and I was talking to her yesterday and she said she would totally recommend it to anyone. I'll let you know how mine goes (hopefully shouldn't be too long now!!)
:wave:Hi everyone Im a long time lurker but never been brave enough to post.
I am 25 weeks pregnant with my first baby and due a baby girl on 3rd May. I have to Step sons aged 16 & 12.

So far I have had a relatively easy pregnancy but a very stressful life:( my dear dad died in November from Pancreatic Cancer and on New Years Eve we found out my mum has 3 brain tumours and lung cancer so Im lucky that I havent had a hard pregnancy.

I am currently signed off work with stress (I wonder why!) although in fairness I am just looking after my mum and you guys on here have been my sanity when I get a break.

Please can someone add me to the list as I am going to make a conscious effort to join in now. ;)Thanks

Welcome to the thread and so sorry to hear of everything else going on in your life right now. Must be extra hard with the pg hormones too, you must be very strong. Hope your OH is looking after you :)

I finally had my MW appointment this morning! Not much to report really, still measuring spot on, pee was fine, and baby is now 1/5 engaged :D

DH is finishing up putting together the nursery furniture this afternoon then I can get everything put away and it will be totally ready! How exciting!!! :T

DH had last night off work (he never gets w/end nights off normally) and we went out for dinner to a lovely tapas place down the road. It was gorgeous but I was really uncomfy afterwards - prob just ate too much though, wouldn't be the first time! Was weird thinking this might be the last meal we had out without needing a babysitter

Got friends over for dinner tonight and can't wait to have the nursery ready to show them!!

I'm just counting down to Tuesday now when Operation Eviction begins :j:eek::T:rotfl:
  • Afternoon :D

My friend said that she had gas and air and the midwifes also gave her this 'relaxing insense type stick!?' that calmed her down!? Never heard of it! Has any1 else?

Hope every1 is okie dokie 2day  xxx
