So here we are. Day two and feeling like pants and full of cold
I am not happy with the MW i saw on Tuesday she promised me that she would contact me yesterday with the date of my 12 week scan I go home to NO messages and when I ring her mobile i discover she is on annual leave from yesterday until 20th Jan!!!!!! WHAT THE F***??????????????? Is it me????:mad::mad::mad:
I am so torn but think I have made the right choice DH agreed that we could have the private scan I got us a appointment for saturday only for him to say that he is now working:mad::mad: Do I go with DD??? or wait until his next free Saturday which is now not until 30th Jan???? I have to wait don't i????
I am so unhappy & ill just want to curl up in bed and never come out again. And here I am in work....
Sorry to rant xIf you can think it........it will happen0 -
Tink - if your DH doesn't mind I think for your own peace of mind you need to go on Saturday. It sounds like your making yourself really unhappy and stressed which won't be doing your little one any good. How old is your DD?
If you're going to wait until 30th Jan then tbh you may as well wait until your 12 week which surely won't be much longer than that xMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Tink sorry you are feeling so low. I agree with Gill, if your DH doesn't mind you should go on Saturday. Or do they do any evening appointments you could get to?
I'm waiting in today for MW coming, no idea what time it will be but hope it's not in the next 20 mins as I forgot to do my sample so need to wait untilI need to go again. Should only be 20 mins tho!!
Just had a RLT and a sausage sandwich. Mmmmm! Want to eat something else now but don't know what. Might go get some fruit to balance it out actually!
I'm watching a show called Amazing Births - some woman had a baby so quick, 23 minutes from first contraction to time of birth
Oh and I really need a haircut too! Had it done just before my wedding in September but not since! Had to cancel my appointment yesterday cos of the ice so going on Tuesday now. Can't wait! Also have a tidy up wax and a pedicure next Thursday so hopefully will feel a bit more glamorous then than I do now!!0 -

We've been going through a bit of a difficult time at work since last August and it's still not resolved yet, which really doesn't help. Sometimes I just feel like going home and not coming back. Oh well. Sorry you're not feeling good and I hope the midwife visit goes ok. Hopefully a lie down will help.
Do you get full pay when you're off sick? If so it sounds like you'd really benefit from even just a week off.
I don't know about you but I think knowing that I'm going to be finishing soon (well 11 weeks) for over 9 months makes it harder to motivate myself where work is concerned atm. This horrid cold weather doesn't help either!
My cold is much better this morning but still feeling tired and achey....day off today thank god so just tomorrow to get through then I'm off to Newcastle for the weekend.
Had a very active baby all day yesterday and again this morning which was fab, coz he'd been really quiet the day before. Seem to be getting proper kicks most of the time now :j
Midwife was lovely yesterday. (not like the horrid rushed one I saw last time!) She works for a different team of midwives but is going to be covering at my centre for a few months so should see her next time too. She was just so nice and genuine, and seemed genuinely interested in me. Listened to little man's heart beat as well. I've been doing it myself on my doppler but was really reassuring to know I'm listening to the right thing iykwim lolMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
im so tempted to buy a doppler.....
How much was yours Gill?Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
Yey for the nice MW!! It does make so much difference.
I just got a call from Argos to say my lovely nursery furniture will be delivered next Thursday!! I'm so excited!! PLus I've got my lovely uncle here just now putting up the wallpaper border in the nursery with DH!! It's all coming together - just need the baby to come now!!!!0 -
I have loved having my doppler- would recommend one with an lcd screen: I have the BT-200 lcd Hi-Bebe one.
I paid £62 for ours and it has been worth every penny.:jMummy to 2 small 4 year old bundles of mischief!:j0 -
