We got quite a bit of snow this morning but were informed that we were expected in at work. I struggled in - a quite dodgy drive on the ice, only to find that many other people hadn't bothered; grr. Anyway, as the day went on, I've felt really grotty and sorry for myself, not to mention really tearful, so in the end I just apologised and went home sick. I really don't know what's wrong with me at the moment, I feel depressed and fed-up, but I don't have any reason to feel like that. Hoepfully going on Holiday/ML will help; just over 5 weeks to go.
Sorry to moan.
EA, I'm glad the tests went ok.
Hope everyone's ok?
*hugs* Redstar - that's exactly what I was like a couple of weeks ago. Just wanted to cry all the time in work and felt like I couldn't cope with anything. I took 2 and a half weeks sick (doctor was happy to give me sick note when I told her what was wrong) off over xmas and feel a million times better for it. Really feel that the cloud has lifted and feel much more like myself again.
Typically I've been back at work a week and had to come home early again coz I've got a really bad cold and feel like crap! I was leaving at 3.30 to go to midwife anyway so only a couple of hours early. Gonna have a lie down and sort my head out a bit before I go.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -

EA glad the tests were ok and glad you didn't fall on the ice again!
Yes its ok to do 9 hour days.
My mam currently works 36 hours a week over 4 days and doesnt have a break, we dont have to

Thanks Gill, it really helps to feel like I'm not on my own. We've been going through a bit of a difficult time at work since last August and it's still not resolved yet, which really doesn't help. Sometimes I just feel like going home and not coming back. Oh well. Sorry you're not feeling good and I hope the midwife visit goes ok. Hopefully a lie down will help.Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky'

Aww hugs to redstar and gill and anyone else who wants one :grouphug:
Nikkit are you on commission from kiddicare?!:rotfl:
Well I have been very good; I've put away all the clean dry laundry, washed and hung out all baby's newborn size clothes, dusted the entire house and sorted out the top of my chest of drawers in the bedroom as it had become a bit of a dumping ground.
Now I'm sat relaxing with an apple and an uncomfortable BH!! Might see if DH will make me another RLT.0 -
kind of , we are allowed soft eggs , just not snotty ( as they call it ) where the white is like water , i asked MW as i only like to dip my toast in the yolk and the yolk is the bit with iron , so as long as its not raw or nearly raw you really are ok
SJ , i reckon i should be , i think they just have some of the best deals around at mo , even have the quinny zapp at £99 which is fab price for a toddler buggyDont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0 -
I don't really eat eggs as I don't like them on their own, but the reason we're not supposed to have them undercooked is the risk of salmonella, however, all the chickens that lay the eggs that you are likely to be eating are vaccinated against salmonella anyway, so I'd say the risk is extremely small anyway.
Just my 2p worth!! (although obviously I should point out that you ought to follow medical advice at all times and not some random girl on a forum ha ha!!)0
