Yorky I was told by my MW that that may be the case (bit bigger myself) so she said not to worry if I don't feel anything at 18 weeks. Everyone is different too and it can aparently take up to 22/24 weeks before you really know definitively that it's kicks you're feeling (or so I was told by the same MW!)
  • Aftertnoon every1 :hello:
Well we woke up to some hefty amounts of snow this morning and as i've been stuck indoors, I've been acting like a women on a misson :o...
got the other half in the attic earlier, rummaging through some of my other boys baby bits and i've been having a sort out. Now the whole bedroom is full of baby bedding,toys,etc...came downstairs as i'm hoping it will all vanish but i really must get tidying....ooops  Gives me a chance to tidy up the airing cupboard though as everything looks like its been thrown in and is a general mess, lol :p Going to have some marmite and cottage cheese on toast, yum yum and no its not a craving i just generally love it but friends and family think its disgusting, haha :D Well must carry on but be back soon xx

Nikkit really glad hospital went well yesterday. Must be nice to put your mind at rest. What bargains you got!! I was going to get that mattress but can't get it online. I hope they have some left in store when I finally manage to get up there.

Beenie :hello: How are you and Amber doing? This thread has been quiet without you!!

Kindof 27 hours over 3 days makes them long days! Especially when you think of what times baby will be sleeping and when you'll be at home. 4 days off a week would be very mice though!! I'm dreading going back to work already!

Gymfriend, yeah BF clinic does sound good. I'm going to go on Friday, weather permitting.

Can't even get out of the house today cos of all the ice. It was ok yesterday but the whole of Leeds seems to have frozen up overnight after th ebit of rain yesterday. My mum walks to work when the weather is bad as it's only about 2 miles but she set off today, fell on the ice 3 times in 10 minutes so walked (carefully) back home again. The bypass into town has been closed all morning due to black ice and I've had to cancel lunch with the girls from work, my hair appointment and dinner at a friend's tonight so I'm not happy today!

ymakesmile I've been the same with the milk, I don't normally have hardly any but I've been eating tons of cereal with milk and have been buying nesquick and drinking tons of milk with that.

Nicoop congratulations!! :T Bet you were glad she came early at 10lb 10.5oz!!

Supersaver Congrats on Team Blue!! Glad everything was well on the scan. And marmite with cottage cheese IS disgusting lol!!!

Labour vibes for you brednall! And anyone else who wants them. Sure it won't be too much longer for you now.

Anyone heard from three2be recently?? Hope she's ok! - EDIT just seen your post! Glad you're ok! I need to wash all my baby clothes soon too.

Congratulations Gemma!! And welcome Jessica Rose  Glad all was well in the end and you are both home safe :D

CAFC no way is it sad to have pant that fit!! I wish I had more that did. My maternity jeans and combats are both too tight now so the only thing I'mtruly comfy is in my leggings. DH keeps laughing at me cos I'm in them so much. Trouble is they're not very warm.

Novagirl congrats!!! Hope litte Harvey is home with you very soon x

Guinea hello! I'm due on 16th Feb so fairly close to you. Are you gettign really uncomfy yet? I am. Feel like I'm all bruised just under my boobs which is just plain weird!

    Hello and welcome Rose Tinted!

Som if it makes you feel any better I didn't really learn anything from ante-natal classes. I'm sure you'll be fine :)

Yorkygal yes I think they say you do feel bubs sooner the less "extra padding" you have!! Everyone is different though, as others have said.

    Hello! :D

Had my blood tests today, they weren't so bad. What was bad was me having to walk from my house to the docs over ice whilst having BH's :rotfl:

Luckily OH was there to keep me propped up :)

I've also booked my anti natal classes and my hospital tour :j

And FIL's ebay item came today, the nice parcel force man took it to the PO opposite my house instead of taking it back to the depot, as i wasn't in to sign for it :D

Congrats on all the recent births! And to the newbies to :D

Ooooh i have discovered a lovely drink! Tropical fruit juice from Iceland, its the only thing that seems to satisfy my thirst for a bit.
Water is doing nothing now

Bump is really high and sticking out today, i was looking at myself in the mirror and i look massive, so i showed OH and he was like "woah your massive!"

    :p

Just a quick update from me. I had my little boy, Harvey Steven on 10/01/10 at 12:24pm after having to be induced due to getting obstetric cholestasis. He's still in the special care unit but hopefully should be allowed to come home in a couple of weeks. Was a 2 and a half hour long labour in the end with just gas and air as he just appeared before an injection kicked in! He weighed 6lbs 10.5 oz. which is a good weight but he's being lazy at the moment and refusing to breathe completely on his own.

    Yay congrats :)

Sorry to hear it wasnt all smooth xxx

Welcome Guinea :) not long to go for you

IHF - EEK on being 7th on the list lol

    Welcome Rose_tinted :)

Som - I forgot I had antanatal on monday, its a drop in one though you dont need to book, but thankfully it was a week I didnt want to go to, I dont want to go this monday but I want to go to teh two after, one is on breastfeeding

Thanks Nikkit, I had looked at the Hauck ones

Yorky - I am not sure, I was 14/16 pre-preg and yes I had a belly lol and I felt wiggles from 16 weeks

SJ - I am usually here from 7-4.30 anyway but have to have 30 min lunch which I dont have to have when I am part time, so my da is 7-4pm if I did 27 AND we worked out if I did 4 days a week I would get £160 extra month but we would have to pay out £120 in Nursery and with the cost of petrol getting me here it wasnt worthwhile me doing 4 days, so looks like I am doing 3 days YAY lol

BUT if MIL doesnt mind having babybean 2 days a week then I would work 4 days, its just pointless going in an extra day to fork out another day nursery fees

I just cant wait to start mat leave lol

Aww Nikkit I am jealous lol I miss poached eggs (I am anal about this pregnancy lol so thats why I havent had any)

Kindof have you checked that with your HR about the hours? As by law you are required to have a 30 minute break in a shift over 6 hours

EA glad the tests were ok and glad you didn't fall on the ice again!

    Hi, Kylie Von-Doom.

  • Hi everyone,
We got quite a bit of snow this morning but were informed that we were expected in at work. I struggled in - a quite dodgy drive on the ice, only to find that many other people hadn't bothered; grr. Anyway, as the day went on, I've felt really grotty and sorry for myself, not to mention really tearful, so in the end I just apologised and went home sick. I really don't know what's wrong with me at the moment, I feel depressed and fed-up, but I don't have any reason to feel like that. Hoepfully going on Holiday/ML will help; just over 5 weeks to go.
    Sorry to moan.
EA, I'm glad the tests went ok.
    Hope everyone's ok?
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)
