redmel1621 wrote: »Housing benefit question....it basically means you can't claim it to pay a relative rent, it is best just to see how much you would be entitled to and look for a property around that amount....you will need to google LHA amount for your area and it is based on amount of people living in the property. So for you, partner and baby you would be 'entitled' to 2 bedrooms, it will then give you a figure for that amount. You can apply for it the minute you get you tenancy signed with a moving in/contract start date......did you say your partner is currently on jsa?? if so then you would be automatically entitled to the full amount of LHA and council tax benefit for you rarea...hth
Hmm thats weird cos my friends dad bought a flat and charges her rent and she pays the Housing Benefit to her dad (which he pays off mortgage)
Thanks SomI will order the mothercare one

Oh wow so much snow here, am so glad its my day off and have hol tomorrow
OH drove into work this morning, usually its only about a mile but one of the roads was closed so he had to drive 3 miles! But he's there and safe, had hoped he might be sent home early as they have in the past whne the weather is bad. Really hope antenatal class isnt cancelled today have been looking forward to it for a month now. Dog is sat watching the world go by the bedroom window, he loves snow, like a big kid in it, not a 7 year old hehe.
Hope we have some baby announcements soon, cant believe the 2009 list is nearly all gone!
Nikkit - hope baby doesnt stay there, mine was lying down my right side last night cos you could see from the shape of my bump hehe, not sure where she is now tho.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

goood luckDont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0 -
Woot after days of not being able to get through to the Hipg help line, I finally managed it, and first time too
Turns out I must have been having baby brain when I filled in the form as the money has been returned saying account closed! Now given them the right details and it'll be here in next week
Strange thing was when I phoned the line there was a recorded msg saying cos of weather maybe big delays and to call back another time if you dont get thru lol.
Right not sure what to do with my self now dumdi dumdi dum!Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

But does he live in the flat? If not then it is a different matter, and although they can be fussy when family are 'letting' to each other as long as a formal contract is drawn up and it is proven that nothing dodgy is going on, I think they allow it.
I think they basically expect family to allow other members of the family free board if living in with them. There may be exceptions of course, these things are never usually black and white.
Had midwife appt today I'm sure they are getting worse with each child I have....with ds1&2 from 16wk check onwards, they would have a good feel for uterus & listen to heartbeat. with ds3 They had stopped listening to heartbeat, but still had a good feel of tum to check uterus is growing nicely. This time...nothing. I went in had bp check, urine check, and bloods taken for screening and that's it:rolleyes:Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.0 -
Ah no he doesnt live in the flat, that could be why
Som sorry your class is cancelledbut YAY for HIPg
