With registering pushchairs it depends on the manufacturer, both mine are Maclaren and they come with an automatic 1 year warranty but if you register them you get a soverieign lifetime waranty for no extra cost, which IMO cant hurt. I know some companys like Bugaboo like you to register with them too, even if you dont get anything extra from them its worth keeping updated and sometimes they may send out a part to upgrade your pushchair. Look at the literature that comes with your pushchair for more info.

Heard a good tip for keeping reciepts organised the other day, so what with baby brain and all the stuff for baby may just do it. It basically consists of selotaping 12 cd cases/envelopes or similar together and labelling jan to feb and then storing reciepts in each pocket. Simple but feel it might help.

This thread goes so quickly. I don't read for a day and there are about 5 pages worth to read!! congrats Jonno on the birth. To me 7lb 11 is big, I am only 5ft 1 and have quite a small frame. My first was 7lb 11, the next was 7lb 15 and the last was 8lb 1. Dread to think what size this baby will be. Also they all seem to be really long and have huge heads! When I found out I was pregnant with my first, I was expecting a 6lb baby as I was only 4lb when I was born (and only a week early), but no the babies have to take after their father and be huge! DD1 is 8 in May and is almost as tall as me and can wear my shoes as they are only one size too big for her!

Oh and I always measure big for my dates up to around 1 month to go and then the baby doesn't seem to grow much more. I am 23 weeks now and the bump is huge, but then it can't really go up as I'm not very tall so has to go out really!! Not helped by me pigging out on chocolate all the time!

Huge labour vibes to PP and JHA!

Can't remember what else has been said! Having too many babies has addled my brain!

I think with size it depends on what you are used to lol (not that I know anything yet lol)

But my mam is 5 foot 4, and she had michael who was 9 pound 15 and me who was 8 pound 6

MIL is about 5 foot 2 and Stuart was 7 pounds 7 and his brother was 8

So for some reason I am expecting a baby of at least 7 pounds 7 but I think he will be more 8 pound 7 or more, I dont know why lol

Nikki, I wouldn't mind if my husband was really tall but he is only 5ft 9, so no idea where these huge babies are coming from. I had an epistomy (spelling?) with DD1 as I had a ventouse delivery, then they also missed sewing up a tear and left me bleeding loads for a while before deciding that I needed more stitches. Had stitches with DD2 and then with DS1 ( who came out in 1 push!!!) I tore really badly and so had loads of stitches. Just worried about what will happen this time. Also labours keep getting quicker so worried not going to make it to hospital this time!

Hopefuly your baby won't be that huge Nikki. I do feel for you though with a husband who weighed in at 9lb 5oz!!!

    Hey all,

Congrats Jonno- just need PP and JHA to go now before me! Hopefully PP will not be kept waiting for too much longer.

So far today I haven't done much, just cleaned out the fridge, oven and one cupboard in the kitchen, Now can't be bothered to do anything but think I should maybe do the pile of ironing that keeps staring at me as I've only got two days left now, maybe after a cup of tea and a biscuit!

Also, Bizziebaby have let me know that the tea I was going to test won't be coming and they are sending me this instead, which I am more than happy with. My order from Very arrived today too, the stuff is so cute, very pleased with my bargains.

I think my dog knows something is up, he keeps pooping in the house when OH goes to work, I think he is either sulking that he has company during the day or sulking cos he knows something is going to happen soon. He is also stalking me around the house and keeps laying on me in bed.

Off to pizza express and the cinema tonight to see avatar as have 241 with orange and will be our last night out for a while, really looking forward to it as haven't been out in ages.

Hopefully this baby won't be too big, I was 6lb 3 and two weeks late, OH was about 7.5 lbs and bang on due date, I figured as I'm early she will be 6 something.

Had a little bit of an accident yesterday (this is way TMI!), deceided to make a start on 'tidying up' in preparation for the induction and started off with my lady shaver to try and trim it down a bit. Couldn't really see what I was doing but when I looked in the mirror there was blood everywhere, I don't know how i did it but I cut myself and it bled loads, didnt even feel i tho so not sure what happened. Thought it was best to leave it for now as kind of look like someone had had a go with a hacksaw, will prob have to get OH to help me now, which I really didn't want to do.

Told the MW yesterday and she thought it was really funny too, as did my sister, to be fair it is quite funny. Its only women that would worry about hair when faced with pushing a person out of themselves!!

Please don't worry, I'll be shocked and delighted if this one is 9lb 5oz as I personally expect him to be around 11lb. Sometimes it worries me and sometimes it doesn't, at least this time I'm getting the gestational diabetes test (pretty sure I've not got it though) and a growth scan as last time nobody would believe me that I thought my bub was big. My first was 10 days early and 8lb 2oz and I could tell number 2 was a lot bigger but it wasn't until she arrived a week late weighing 10lb 9oz that I was believed LOL! My doctor told me no more than 9lb tops.

Anywho the purpose of this post was to say that I had a much worse time trying to push comparatively ickle DD1 out than huge DD2 and my midwife and I are both confident I'll be ok with this one as long as he doesn't go overdue (hope I'm not tempting fate there!) so even if you do have a bigger than average bub it doesn't necessarily mean problems. :)
    :heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:

my MW is great , even as this is my 4th , hb heard ( since 11 weeks) ,measured (since 16 weeks), bp , wee test , chats at every appointment , she is nice, even yesterday tried to change MW appointment next week as will be away but i am due anti-d inj doctors surgery said no appoinments not much they could do , so called MW on her mobile , and she said to call her when we get back into MK and she will come round and do anti d there and then no questions asked,

She sounds fantastic...I don't even get to see the same midwife each time, last pregnancy I saw 5 different midwives!
Why wont you get to hear HB?

I hear it at every appointment and have done since 16 weeks, and my belly has been felt and measured ever since week 25

Cos I saw MW at 8 weeks, 16 weeks and then 25 weeks (saw Mw at hosp with scan for 12 weeks, and had scan at 20 weeks)

They just don't seem to check baby's heartbeat in my area/clinic:confused:

    I am 5.2 and have had ds1 - 9lb.6oz, ds2 - 8lb.4oz(3wks early), ds3 - 9lb.1oz. And don't all gasp together, but I've never had a single stitch:D:o
