gill - think I was about 23 weeks before I got past my initial tiredness, is it rude if I ask how old you are? Am sorry your finding the whole pg so rough, for my even the not so nice bits are worth it after 6 years, think thats why I want next one to come along so fast.
    QUOTE]

Not rude at all - I'm 28. Was just saying to DH that I don't think it would be as bad if I didn't work full time in such a physically demanding job, on my feet all day. Pretty much decided that I'm going to drop to 30 hours and I'm going to try and stop expecting as much from myself. I think I can carry on achieving to the same standard that I always have but I'm realising that I'm not being fair on myself or my little man putting those sort of demands on myself.

I was incredibly fortunate and conceived after only 1 cycle of coming off the pill, I can totally understand how different it would feel having been through what you have to get there.

Gill definately go to the docs and ask a for blood test to check your Iron etc, that would answer the tired ness.

Thanks for this - it will be good to have specific things to ask/talk about and gives me and idea to know what I hope to get out of it aswell.

thank you all for welcoming me,
cafc it is surprising how little you do need after having 2 you soon realise that matching baths, baby boxes and baby towels are lovely but hey the baby soon baths in big bath or sink as in my case :rotfl::rotfl: baby smellies are left on the side of the bath and the nearest clean towel is the ones you use
i plan on getting lots of second hand from car boot sales ect - my mother loves a car boot sale and can get £100s worth for less than £10
    thanks again for welcoming me

Oh I dont care of my baby matches my shoes :rotfl:My shoes rarely even match!!!

I eve instructed my nan that even if in her charity shop there is girls stuff, that you couldnt really tell was girls, and it was good nick etc, I'd still put baby in it...... and shes come away with some great stuff :T

Also forgot I've got (from 1st pregnancy) a gro bag, and a some blankets i think.....
really should find where my mum did her secret squirrel act with all this stuff in her house after we lost that baby..... i keep remembering things

Thats the great thing about having access to talk to other people who are in the same boat/have had kids previous...
Whereas if I was at say just a ante natal class or whatever, I'd never ask other people (who I barely knew) how they thought they'd cope money wise/ what could I do without..... I guess that might be a little bit of pride, or just a reluctance to feel like the odd one out, although Im sure plenty of others would be thinking the same thing....:A

  • Really???thats an interesting one!

I think you've got to keep it in perspective. I'm sure women in the 50, 60's and 70's smoked fags, drank and probably ate soft cheese till it came out of their ears, and their babies were fine!

Clearly you just have to be sensible about everything, but I dont think the odd glass of wine is going to do you any harm.

I'm doing the same MV. I love cheese and don't think I can cope without brie. And avoiding cava will be tough, particularly when OH has just poured himself a large G+T.
    Men have it so easy!!!

Getting more and more worried as cramps are getting worse and don't seem right. I am beginning to wish I hadn't tested early (the line was so bright and came up within seconds though). Really hoping that the best Xmas pressie I have ever had sticks!!!

HA yes men have it soooooooo easy it's untrue!!! I've already warned OH that he forget drinking loads over xmas as its not fair! If we have to suffer, then so should they!!!! :p

Hope you're ok..do you think you're worrying may be making the cramps worse? Try not to get too stressed though hon
