  • Nooooooo the snow that turned into rain has turned into snow again and a lot of it everything is white :(

I want the sunshine back :(
  • Hello ladies how are you all doing? I haven't had the chance to catch up and i won't just yet but i can see that always didn't have her baby on the same day as me.
Baby Harry was born at 9.50 on monday 14th weighing 7lbs 9oz major long story. some day i will write it up but for now many attempts at the spinal but it finally worked. really good section, i didn't even feel any pulling or tugging like they said, lost a bit of blood had 6 staff all padding and washing me down there in theatre and again in recovery had to have suppositories tabs and drips to stop the bleeding. Had harry with me for the day on the ward but they were worried about him so took him off for tests and he was sent to the neonatal unit and that is where he still is now. I was discharged wed morn which was/is a complete shock as i really needed another day. I of course stayed all day with harry but had to come home last night without him and it is the hardest thing ever. I am crying now while typing. I miss my little man so much and just want him here with us. He isn't breathing too well and isn't feeding either. He is hooked up to a heart machine and has drips in. I am feeling it more tonight as i was that shattered and in pain yesterday i went to straight to sleep but i am dredding going in our room, seeing that empty moses basket knowing he could have been in it by now.

elastigirl - big hugs. Sounds like a really traumatic time for you and must have been devasting leaving your little one behind when you came home. It sounds like you have a little fighter though, and at least at the moment you know he is in the best place. I'm sure they will get him sorted soon and he'll be home with his mummy and daddy where he belongs.

Please keep us posted and feel free to come on here to rant whenever you need to, we're all here for you xxx

  • Elastigirl- I can't even begin to imagine how you must feel right now. But I think Gill is right and he is a fighter. My thoughts are with you.

  • Elasti, feel free to come on here whenever you want, i remember when DD was in the hospital you can't help but worry, after the initial shock you will realize it is for the best and the little one will be strong and well when you get home, without the worry of having a baby that is only a few hours old.

It is little comfort to you just now but they do not take any chances with the babies on these wards, they prefer to continually monitor them in the hospital than wait and see, IYKWIM Little one will be with you soon non the wiser for his experience and even you will wonder why all the fuss was made over your perfect little bundle.

Stay strong honey all will work out.

ok did any of that make sense or am i babbling again.

PP - lol! I hadn't even thought about the weather causing problems

It's not that bad here but it's enough to cause serious hold-ups on the roads, apparently there's been loads of crashes nearby too.

Luckily i'm not anywhere remote, and the hospital is less than 10 mins away, hopefully the on-call mw doesn't live out in the sticks (do they stay home until 'called'??)

Omg, just looking at BBC weather site, and it's "heavy" snow on Monday, as opposed to now which is apparently "light"

Gonna stock up on milk and bread in the morning cos i don't like driving in this weather, i don't have a snow-mobile and i don't trust other drivers :rotfl:
