Congratulations tink - I am 38 weeks and it still doesn't feel real!!!!
I didn't get morning sickness, at the time I really wanted it to put my mind at rest but I reckon now I was very lucky!!!! Some people do not get any sickness until 8 weeks or so.Bump due 30th December 2009 :j0 -
 afternoon,
Just back from Morrisons, got 3 chocolate oranges on the 3 for 1 thing, slowly devouring them all :rotfl:
Maybebaby can't believe you're still cleaning so close to your due date, I think I'm about ready to give up alreadyI think that must make it nesting, either that or you're just wonder woman, esp the skirting boards!!
Beenie hope you get things sorted with Barclays, I hate them, they are a bl&&dy nightmare, if they put you through to India you should just tell them you want to speak to someone in the UK immediately, I always do it and generally they will
Hope the cold goes soon JHA - rubbish time of year for bugs& if I were closer I'd take the kitty off your hands
I'm such a sucker for cats!
Gill ring in sick if you don't feel yourself, going to work and getting stressed (which I imagine is fairly common in a retail environment?) isn't going to make you feel any better. & re: the pushchair, I've no idea if prices will go down but I doubt it would go up, so might be worth waiting?
Flippin' heck Nikkit, £140  Think I'd have a heart attack!
Welcome & congrats to Choccybike :j Glad all seems to be well after your scare, x
Hello & welcome TinkwingsTry not to worry - I had no symptoms til now, at 28 weeks, when my hips ache, my pelvis aches, I have a big belly and feel a wriggly baby inside of me :rotfl: I thought I'd made it all up til I got to the scan as I felt that good!! Just count yourself lucky & enjoy
Just called M&P's and ordered the footmuff for our pushchair as it's on 1/2 price, also the raincover & the cot mobile, total of £65. Feeling pleased with myself, as not sure if you'll all remember but pushchair was a bargain £150 to start with, so now all in with the bits I need it's only come to £200 :money: I saw someone out & about with the same one today & it looked so lovely, so glad we bought it
Sadly we're only had a tiny bit of snowI was so looking forward to loads! Glad in a way though as driving OH to his work do tonight & meant to be picking him up, so glad the roads should be ok at least.
Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j0 -

Hi all! Am 24 weeks today (feels like a milestone as bubba is now 'viable'), its my birthday and was also my last day at work (pre-school) before chrimbo so pretty good all round. :T
If any of the full term ladies would like to give birth before midnight It'd make a lovely pressie.:heart2: Mumma to DD 13yrs, DD 11yrs & DS 3 yrs. :heart2:0 -
Arghhhhhh
I saw the same stupid midwife again as i saw last time
She started asking me about the home birth and when i said i still wanted it she told me it was too late for me to be booked in for it??? Why the hell did she not say this last time or at least book me in for it last time????
Told me i shouldnt get myself stressed out over giving birth in that !!!!!! hospital and i should just concentrate on getting in there having the baby and getting home again she reckons 6 hours tops in there and i will be home but that completly defeats the whole point in me wanting a home birth surely:mad:
Apparently i need blood tests done again not sure why the last lot i had werent even that long ago i think i have had more blood tests done throughout this pregnancy than i have ever had done in my entire life
She also reckons that the babies head is still free and not engaged well if thats the case then why the hell do i feel like i am walking about with a watermelon between my legs for the past few weeks??
Measuring at 39 weeks which aint too bad considering im 37+1 today.
Been told to go back in 2 weeks time despite the fact they are supposed to be seeing me weekly from now on
I then had to hang about for an hour and a half to wait for mine and DD1's doctors appointments
DD1 has got a tummy bug and they wont let her back in school for her last day they have said she can go in at lunchtime to give her teacher her xmas present though but she is really upset that she cant go in and see her friends before xmasDoctor said there is nothing they can give her its just gonna be a case of letting it pass through her system
Got another prescription of my anti sickness tablets they gave me 2 weeks worth why the hell they didnt give me enough to last me until the end of my pregnancy is beyond me
DD2 has done nothing but play up the whole time we were out and ended up breaking my nail trying to put her seatbelt on in the taxi because she was being so uncooperative and now i cant type properly im so used to having my nails there grrrr!!!!
Stressed0 -
Princess platy have a read on homebirth.org.uk (I think or google it) as they cannot tell you you are too late to book one, it is up to you. It is their own fault if they haven't checked on time what your plans are. You can write to head of midwives and inform them of your choice and they have to comply unless their is a major and serious concern for your or babies welfare. Some area's and MW are not pro homebirth and try anything they can to get you to hospital even though they are 'supposed' to support it. It is ultimately your choice so don't let them fob you off if it means something to you.0
