Well I've got a lot of catching up to do - didnt have time to get on last night so two days worth to read!
Som - nice bump and those little cardies are gorgous!
PP - what a nightmare you have had with Asda! Sounds like they gave you a really imcompetent shopping picker....but the way they have gone about trying to rectify it is awful.
Yorkygirl - I asked about hearing the heartbeat at 16 week appointment and she wouldn't do it for me, said it was too early. I had a late appointment so I personally think she was just trying to rush me out. I was gutted and really wish I'd fought my corner a bit more.
I've started buying the Asda's own pregnancy tablets - 2 packs of 30 for £4. Checked the ingredients and they're almost identical.
Congratulations to Always on the safe arrival of Thomas James - can't wait for more pics to drool over
Have we heard how elastigirls c-section went yet?
I'm pretty sure I'm going for this travelsystem after kindof found it the other day
http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_324_10751_-1__97924_10001_
I don't know whether to buy it now or if I should hang on until after xmas. Does anyone know if kiddicare reduce much after xmas?
Som - could I pick your brains again please? This travel system comes with the logico s car seat while other gracos come with the junior baby. Is there much difference between the two? I tried to look on the graco website but couldn't find them!Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Hi everyone!
Welcome to all the newbies and congratulations to the new mummys and babies!
Just been for my 16 week appointment (although I'm actually 18 weeks tomorrow) and everything was good. All test results were excellent and she found heartbeat straight away! Really put my mind at rest as we haven't been able to find it on our doppler.
Started to do a bit more baby shopping now and my Dad's ordering the cot bed for us this weekend. We're getting the I love my bear one from Babies r us. Will prob get the matching toy box too!
Hope everyone's looking forward to Christmas - I certainly was until MIL started trying to change everything again:mad: Mind you, given the family horror stories some of you have it's nothing in comparison!
Muso x0 -
LL - glad to hear you're feeling better. You always sound so busy! Don't forget to take it easy and take car of yourself
PP - ooo, let us know how the appt goes
gill - personally I'd wait until after Christmas. You never know what will go on sale and you'd hate to miss a bargain! Even if it stays the same price, you're not losing out.
muso - glad you got to hear the baby's HB, yay!
It's very boring chez moi. jha, I don't know how you do your all-4s so much...I do 5 minutes and my knees hurt & I'm tired!! I do it on the bed so to get lots of padding, but it's just not comfy for me in the least. Open knee chest (from Spinning Babies) is a little more better, but tends to hurt my back after a while. You're a trooper!!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Afternoon all
Congrats to Always, lovely name.
I have been out for lunch with some friends but am back home now and hiding out from the snow that wont stop falling - I didn't want snow until baby is here because the midwife unit I am booked into is 35 minutes away on back roads!
I got my bedroom and nursery all cleaned, furntiure moved, skirting boards done and am doing the other bedroom and bathroom today - how do you know when it is real nesting rather than just getting organised!!!
Had a few period type pains last night for first time but nothing came of it - not really expecting it too as baby's head was still above the pelvis on Tuesday at MW.
Hope everyone is well and keeping cosy.Bump due 30th December 2009 :j0 -
HUGE CONGRATS TO ALWAYS
Ooo fairy post three:D and i get a combined ss / bday pres then as bday is after christmas - thanks:D
i did do some cat rescue work - last one is currently snuggling up to the radiator at my parents house:D (their other cat passed away last week ) -but dont like people dumping animals on me as i am not part of a registerd charity iyswim and the animals i always get are not cutie kittens (easy to re-home) they are starved and or ill / abused so no one wants them - rspca and local charities are rubbish in this area so unless someone claims this kitty it will be living in my shed (in a nice warm bed) and i have left some food out for it - best i can do at the moment - oh wont have another cat. I will worm and flea treat it today so it dosent give me anything nasty:eek: It has the biggest ears i have ever seen it looks like a gremlin:rotfl:
yay for ctax credit nikkit
hope you get a good mw appt pp
hugs for horrible barclaycard beenie
maybe - nice to hear from you - make sure you have your bubs on the 30th as its my birthday - lol:p
Yay leopardlady at 9 weeks:D
Cough and cold are festering nicely here so i am in bed snuggled up - heres hoping it clears up soon. :rolleyes:0 -
I'm debating whether I should phone in sick for tomorrow
I'm never off sick so it's quite a big deal for me but I just feel like I really can't face going in. I feel a bit of a fraud as there's not really anything wrong with me but everything hurts (legs, back, shoulders, pelvis) and I just feel totally listless and have no energy and just feel as though I can't cope with anything. I want to cry everytime I think about going in. I had a mega stressful day yesterday so I don't know if it's a reaction to that.
Feel awful though coz if I'm like this at 20 weeks how am i going to be when it all really kicks in????
Did anyone else go through a depressive stage like this and does it get better????Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
oh , just been tesco for normal shop , big shop next week , or so i thought , the bill came to £140 , cant believe havent spent that much in ages , i reckon tesco put there prices up and we dont notice as its so near christmas and so many shoppers so you just grab and move and not look at prices , omg i dread to see how much my bill is next week
gill i was depressed prob about 4 weeks ago it was awful , i didnt want OH , i didnt want baby , i hurt , it took a few weeks to get past it , but i seem so much happier now , glad OH stuck by me through it i was awful to him ,Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec0 -
weeks 13 to about 24 were the worst for me gill - now i feel like i could climb a mountain:D and the depression does come and go for me but much better than it was - i think its something to do with hormones as the pregnancy progresses and no one wants to work if they are in pain - dodgy hugs all round :grouphug: - lol0

it doesn't help that my job is very stressful and I know that it's going to be a bit of a nightmare until Christmas is over and the sale is fully launched. Wish I could take all of next week off infact but I know I will regret it afterwards when nothing is done how I want it!Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0

Hello ladies,
Please could I join and be added to the list, I'm expecting our 4th baby on 29th April '10. So I'm 21 weeks today.
I have been lurking for a little while but have lately felt in need of some support after 2 soft markers were found at the 20 wk scan last thurs.
They were a dilated right kidney (only slight and measuring 5.7mm) and an ecogenic focus on the heart (heart is 100% healthy though,it's just what they call a white or bright spot). I was reffered to see the consultant on tues just gone and they were hoping the kidney marker wouldn't be there. I was re-scanned and the soft markers were confirmed but the consultant said as my Nuchal results were very good (1;24,000) that he is happy that he would at worst reduse those odds on a chromosonal abnormality to 1;8,000.
He sent me home saying "I am happy, so enjoy your pregnancy". So that's what I intend to do,was a frightening weekend but DH and I are feeling confident with tuesdays outcome.
We weren't going to find out what sex the baby is but when they told us about the soft markers I panicked and HAD to know! It's a GIRL!
We have dd1 (10) ds (8) and dd2 (5)..
Really look forward to getting to know all you lovely ladies as I can see you are all a great support to each other.
Thanks for reading xBusy mummy of 4.:j0
