Baby Aiden
born 26th Jan :T0 -
On countdown now and getting a wee bit worried about everything. My cousins has been induced and is only 1 cm dilated at the moment. She's been told that if baby needs to stay in she cant stay with him and he may be into for up to three weeks. How ever he may come out and be fine so fingers crossed i am on edge i think thats why i am getting nervous about bumper etc my mind just feels like it racing at the moment. Big hugs to those in need.
Huge hugs lou - inductions can take several days as they start with pessaries every 6 hours and if a couple of them dont work they use a drip. I have never heard of a reason for a baby to have to stay in for up to three weeks due to an inductionAnd i am sure if she is breastfeeding they will want her there most of the time - do you remember elle and tigeroonie? I know its a really worrying time coz you are worrying about her and yourself / your baby iyswim.
But i am sure everything will be fine - bumper will be out before you know it and you will be home soon and fine like gisi was. I am sure she will answer any questions you have. I am certinally getting mixed excitement / petrified feelings all at once which seem to be getting a bit confused and making it worse iyswim.
Anyway i will stop waffling now - just think about the end result - how exciting it is that you will meet your baby very soon:D:j:beer:
Edit : ooo lou it might be sooner than we think - what pains are they sweetie? get logging them on here http://www.contractionmaster.com/0 -

Forgot to say earlier there are some good reductions on Daddy gifts at Mothercare atm, picked up a mouse mat that you can pop baby pic in for £1.50 and a mug and coaster for £2.50 might make a good stocking filler for some OH's.
Baby is being a real lil wriggle bum atm, off to bed to read for a while and hope she settles hehe.Baby :female: Tahlie Lois born 15/3/10 7lb 12 oz :heartpulsWorking on baby no2

Hello all! Another blokey here with a quick tip for those wanting the cheapest price on the BT 150 Baby Monitor....
I found this bargain at Paperpunchplus website for £55...Use code 'NewPPP' to get an extra £5 off, bringing the price to just £50
We're due on the 28th December and can't wait to play with this new gadget (and the baby of course)
Hope someone gets some use out of this money saving tip. Never used the company before, but quick delivery and good email communications so can thoroughly recommend :T

Aargghh! Had an appointment with the consultant today - they just wanted to have a chat because of my previous emergency cs and high bmi, mumble, mumble
. So everything is fine, appointments for glucose tests, extra scan (not sure what this is about
, just because he measured me at 20 weeks instead of the 18 I am). Do I want to try for Vbac or just go for elective.
And as usual my bp was through the roof! So I have to see my gp a few times before going back and being investigated for pre-eclampsia! If my bp stays high. Of course my monitor at home says I'm fine now. Must have been attending the hospital with a boisterous toddler (you're a housewife? asks doctor. Then why are you so stressed by him?).
I went in there feeling all hunky dory and came out with pre-eclampsia, diabetes, obesity and apparently being a poor mother! Thank goodness I have a sense of humour... now where did I put that?:wall:0 -
Ugh i can't sleep
I've been thinking i might change to a home birth though...
I don't really want one but the only person i can rely on is my sister & she has 2 young kids and i need my son looking after, but she's just started a new job so won't be able to leave there if i go into labour during the day. At least if i have a home birth i know if it comes to it he can stay with me and my pets will get fed? IF i go into labor when she's not at work she can look after my son and possibly come and feed the pets, while i go into hospital on my own. But if it's daytime i have no idea what i will do.
I hate my mother so much she's such a selfish waste of space. I really don't know what to do. Do you think i could ring the midwife and ask to see her as an extra apointment to ask about it?? My next appt isn't til 39+5 and might be too late.0 -
Beenie - I'm sure it's not too late. Give the MWs a call this morning and then at least you can chat about it over the phone. You're quite low risk from what I remember, so prolly the perfect candidate.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Aww that's pants, esp. NYE. Chin up, try look on the brightside, you're doing it all for baby, there can be no better reason for having to stay in
Get the tree up & lots of fairy lights around, think it cheers everyone up (says the girl who was scoffing at the neighbours for having theirs up on Saturday night!!).
Made me think actually I've no idea what we're doing for NYEMust admit it's one of my least favourite nights, always a let down!
Forgot to ask SJ, did midwife go ok? Did you get your home visit booked in?
ThanksAnd yeah midwife went fine except she kept asking me what I wanted to use for pain relief before I get in the birth pool, as with me being at home I need to order what I want beforehand as the MW's don't carry anything, so if I then decided I did want something after all I would have to go to hospital. I really don't want to use anything so not sure what to do about that really. I have a while to decide though.
Didn't get the home appointment booked in, got another one with MW at Dr's as usual at 32 weeks (3 weeks' time ) then she will book the home appointment then for 36 weeks.
I agree NYE is always a let down. Best one I ever had was last year though at a house party. Just a shame sitting in knowing everyone else is out! Sure I'll get over it though.Must have been attending the hospital with a boisterous toddler (you're a housewife? asks doctor. Then why are you so stressed by him?).

Cheeky sod! Maybe you are stressed because you are pg and have a toddler who you are at home with (presumably on your own) all day! Sure it'd be different if was looking after a child all day!Ugh i can't sleep
I've been thinking i might change to a home birth though...
I'm sure it's not too late, as has been said before nobody can make you go into a hospital anyway if you don't want to. But give MW a call today and discuss it with her, get the ball rolling!0
