We're good thanks-just lurking to see how everyone's doing over here.

I actually feel less tired now than I did in the last month or so of pregnancy, although entertaining the in-laws at the weekend nearly finished me off. I'd definitely recommend letting guests know when it's time to leave- I didn't and ended up almost in tears!

Beenie- so glad your car passed!

Glad things are going well GISI :D

This made me laugh & made me wonder if OH will let me use baby as an excuse to get rid of my inlaws once he arrives, god knows I'd try anything :rotfl:

Anyone got an opinion on this for me please :) Gotta buy for SIL for Christmas, expectations cost wise are high but I'm tight and don't want to spend!! Would this be ok?

Beenie so glad your car passed :D

Glad you got off with just a warning Kindof - OH once caught one of his staff watching !!!!!! at work  I so wish I could've been a fly on the wall in that dismissal!!

I think that would be a lovely gift!

It's funny what some people think they can get away with at work!

The best bit was the guy denied it!! OH was like, look I watched you watching it, I have it recorded and linked to your ID, I know for a fact that you were, but he still denied it shamelessly, if it was me I'd have slunk off and never come back!!

Ta, think I'm gonna get it, if she doesn't like it then tough luck, nothing I can afford would be good enough I don't think anyway!

I've just eaten my advent calendar chocolate, and Radio 1 have been playing Christmas songs, & my new tree's just been delivered, excited :D

Well I'm feeling pretty crappy today so I might put our tree up to cheer myself up if I can be bothered! Had planned to do it at the weekend but may do it tonight instead.

There's no real reason, just feeling a bit down that there's loads going on at Christmas eand I can't go to any of it. DH has a couple of nights out planned and a day at th Xscape snow place and I can't go to any of it cos I'm pg. And I'll be staying in NYE on my own too cos he's working. Hmmmf.

Oh well, at least I'm finished work now and there's only another 15 work days left to go!!

Aww that's pants, esp. NYE. Chin up, try look on the brightside, you're doing it all for baby, there can be no better reason for having to stay in :) Get the tree up & lots of fairy lights around, think it cheers everyone up (says the girl who was scoffing at the neighbours for having theirs up on Saturday night!!).

Made me think actually I've no idea what we're doing for NYE :/ Must admit it's one of my least favourite nights, always a let down!

Forgot to ask SJ, did midwife go ok? Did you get your home visit booked in?

Can't wait for my 20 week scan, not until after new year unfortunatly so we've been trying to get a heartbeat on the doppler but not having much luck.

EA - When you cooked your chicken last night did you take the chicken out of the fridge beforehand to come up to room temperature? I normally take it out about an hour and a half before I want to put it in oven otherwise you have to allow extra time for bringing up to temp in the oven iyswim?

    Muso x

No i didn't lol. Just took it out of the fridge and into the oven, well obviously removed packaging first haha.

What date is your scan? :D I couldn't find the HB on the doppler until about 20 weeks i think. Infact i couldn't find it the other night, but she was kicking so hard during my search i knew she was fine.
    Then the doppler broke

SJ - Yeah the breast was totally white and the legs had pink bits on lol. The cat enjoyed a massive bowl of chicken though! :D

Just been with OH to get his tattoo done, he had a snakes head on his hand to follow on from his sleeves. Its really nice, but im jealous lol. I found loads i want to get done when the baby is born.

The main one im having is some lilys going up my leg from my foot and it will have the babys name wrote alongside one of the stalks :)
And will have a few butterflys on to :D

Damn amazon! Always reducing that baby moniter when i have no money! lol.

Kindof, im not meant to be online when i was at work. I never got caught but our IT guys can take control of your pc from theres and its really weird lol. At least MSE wasn't blocked. Loads of people at work have ways of getting round the block to get on other sites lol. Im not that naughty :D
Well i was sometimes, but not as much as everyone else :rotfl:

happy tuesday everyone! our freebie pilfered wifi has been on really low signal all day so just a quick check in!

beenie - excellent news about the car! that must be a serious weight of your mind.

ooh, the dishiest man ever just delivered the little man's pop up travel cot / moses basket thingummy. Looks lovely too, only took preggy brain me about 2 mins to put up too which means it'll be great for being out and about the next few months, it's bigger than a moses basket too which surprised me. preggy brain has put instructions somewhere so god knows how long it'll take me to disassemble bonus is a pillow case fits the mattress so don't need to buy any special bedding!

pp - def change doctors, I registered with a new one today and I am due on Thurs! Might be worth checking if the community midwives (am guessing that they are part of a team who do the rounds at local surgeries like here?) have clinic sessions at the hospital you could pop into instead? I've been doing that since 20 weeks and it's worked out fine but then I am only a 10 minute bus ride from the hospital.

sj- hugs about xscape and nye, they'll be other things once baby is here that'll be infinitely better, am sure.

had curry and half a pineapple (with ice cream!) for dinner last night, am drinking rlt as we speak. our bedroom was a tropical 14 degrees last night so no other inducing deeds done, just big hugs! we are definitely going to be borrowing electric heaters off the inlaws when baby arrives!

also was boringly organised and done the household budget - my 100% pay runs out christmas eve and then it's down to smp until the end of July and then nothing but savings I've built up the last 9 months - I think we can manage (assuming nothing happens with dp's job) until next January, allowing me about £70 a week for groceries and boring day to day stuff (have washable nappies and am planning on bf) after all the big bills are sorted. I think that we might just be able to manage a budget skiing holiday in there too, summer hols will be at my mum's so we just need to pay for flights and car hire then, working around the cheapest deals.
