    Morning ladies]
Still here after my pains last night, they stopped at about 2 this morning and just been for my 38 week check and everything is fine. Got my nan and mum coming up to help clean a bit more as i was finding it hard to bend etc. A quick update on my cousin they started off inducing her yesterday and it did not seem to work so she had a emerg c-section at 1.45 this morning. Baby boy 5lb 7ozs which is such a good weight. Not sure on any other info as he is in a special care unit at the moment but all seems well. Hugs bennie if i was nearer or not so close to my dd i would help out that's if you wanted my help after my dream the other night. Bigs huugs sweetie and i am sure things will find a way of working out xxxx

    Good morning ladies and gents!

Well i had a awful night last night, spent 1.5 hrs on the loo with very bad diarrhea! (Sorry if TMI) so feeling very wobbly this morning, i have eaten a small amount of porridge and drunk some tea and water. I am trying to up my intake of water, so no chance of dehydration! but it is not helping me get on with work!

I also went to bed with no symptoms at all last night, which was nice, but worrying at the same time! oh well i suppose i should just get on with getting better!
Take care all, i hope your bump decides what he wants to do soon Lou!
Sorry your mum is so difficult Beanie!

Hello to everyone else, back to work and feeling sick :)

yorky, that means you don't need the Anti D, and that you're immune to rubella

Lou i read about your dream but must have forgot to comment, it did make me laugh though :D:D Congrats to your cousin that's a really good weight!

I've been having twinges too, nothing spectaular but enough to make it all seem more real and close, i think that's what has triggered my panic about the labour, i've been pretty blase about it til now in the hope it would work itself out in time, but time is something i don't have anymore and it hasn't worked itself out as yet!!

My best friend seriously peeved me by writing on my fb wall "where have you been" - You know damn well where i've been, i'm not the one with the hectic social life and she hasn't even asked how i am in absolutely ages. I would expect her to care just for the fact i've split with ex after 3 years and messily, but to add my being nearly 9 months pregnant and completely on my own i am just really miffed with her and sent her a text saying so. To which she replied saying she has been working her backside off (she works mon-fri, office hours ) and her fb tells a different story. I totally don't begrudge her living her life and going out 3 nights a week, but don't tell me you haven't been there for me cos you're too tired when you're obviously not, you just have new playmates:mad:

Hello hello! Had MW appt this morning then went out to do a bit of shopping (nothing glamourous, as I'm sure you south London ladies know that Streatham High Rd offers very little!) for various outstanding things. I still need a plastic spray bottle and some cheapo plastic baskets...you'd think 99p store would have these, but no! Think I need to find one of those random corner shops that sells crap like that. We also need a broom, but I forgot to look while I was out.

MW appt went well - they are soooo nice. Talked through a bit of birth plan. Baby is still 'free' (i.e. not engaged) and lying a bit sideways (so not back-to-back but not the good position either) so I've been told to do exercises (which I've BEEN doing, but I guess more now!). BP is still perfect, which I'm pleased about as I was getting tons of swelling over the weekend and was scared it had gone up or something.

Also, apparently laying off the sugar can help prevent reoccuring thrush?! This prolly explains why I got it in the first place...I've been eating sooooo much more sweet stuff lately. Now onto hide those Jaffa Cakes! ;)

would like to win a holiday, please!!

    Afternoon,

Congrats to your cousin Lou, really good weight considering how early he is :j

Beenie I'd call midwife if I were you, whilst homebirth wouldn't be your first choice it sounds practical given your circumstances. Sorry your mum's like she is, it's really sad :(

SJ what are the options for pain relief at home? Home birth is something I've managed to get OH to consider now, but still not really decided

Just been looking at car seats & struggling to decide whether I'm bothered about having the car seat that clips into pushchair or not  Seems it costs a lot more & then you need the adaptor clips etc...hmm, any thoughts for me? :o

Almost finished Xmas shopping this morning :D Only got OH's sis left to buy for, and a little something for his aunt & uncle & a computer game for my dad, wahoo! Though I've not bought OH much yet so suppose I should get him something else, just not really sure what
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j

Well MW asked me about ordering pethidine or meptid, neither of which I think I want. Although she did say it does no harm to get one in ready and I can always not use it, whereas if I don;t get anything then decide I really do need somehting I would have to transfer to hospital. Can also use gas & air but think they want you to wait a bit before using that. Also I can use the pool for pain relief but only after 5cm. Just had a thought actually, if I did have pethidine or meptid I wouldn't be able to get in the pool after. Hmmmm. Think I might just say I def don't want anything, stick to my calcium etc and just stick it out.

I'm hoping I'll be able to cope better with the pain because it's a better alternative to being in hospital!

There's a TENS machine too but I think that might annoy me being stuck to me.
