Gymfriend - have you looked at homebirth.org.uk? It's a really good site about homebirth and answers a lot of the "but what if..." type questions. I found it really useful. There's lots of good birth stories on there too, including quite a lot from people who intended on having a HB but then went on to transfer to hospital for various reasons.

Hi all hope everyone is well,

Lou can't believe you got me all excited for nothing..............shouldn't be long now though.

Beenie i really feel it for you with your mum i know how stressfull things are with my aunt so it must be 10x worse when it's your mum.

I wonder how PP got on at the docs this morning hope she gets MW appointment sorted!!

Had to do my chauffure bit this morning for mum and aunt and it exhausted me, honestly she can make everything so difficult it is unbelievable. Like mum getting the form for forwarding the post, Mum went to the sorting office to get the form as she tried twice at the PO and they had none and my aunt wouldn't shut up about how the PO would eventually get them whats the problem in waiting, then 2 minutes later she would moan that it should have been set up last week:confused:. Plus i ended up throwing the letter into the back of the car because she made a fuss about how it HAD to be handed into the PO despite me repeatedly telling her you could post it in the envelope that comes with it

She then made a big show of how i was PG and shouldn't carry anything and garbed my bag of shopping from me as i was paying in the shop so i deliberately made the point of saying (very loudly:rolleyes:) sure you take it the 30ft to the car and i'll get it from the car park and up the 2 flights of stairs when i get home. she was not pleased at that but couldn't say anything as mum let the door go and it slammed shut on her lol

Nikki thats freaky i'm making stew too..
And good luck Yorykygal hope all goes well, and you don't have to wait to long.

Hello hello! Had MW appt this morning then went out to do a bit of shopping (nothing glamourous, as I'm sure you south London ladies know that Streatham High Rd offers very little!) for various outstanding things. I still need a plastic spray bottle and some cheapo plastic baskets...you'd think 99p store would have these, but no! Think I need to find one of those random corner shops that sells crap like that. We also need a broom, but I forgot to look while I was out.

You've just reminded me. Last time I gave birth I had got just about everything I needed, and packed except for a spray bottle for water. My husband dashed out to get one and packed it for me (without me seeing it!) literally the day before I gave birth. In the hospital, he got it out and offered it to me, obviously really proud that he had sorted it - he had bought one of those plant sprayer bottles!! It was huge and sprayed half the room...

I hate my mother so much she's such a selfish waste of space. I really don't know what to do. Do you think i could ring the midwife and ask to see her as an extra apointment to ask about it?? My next appt isn't til 39+5 and might be too late.

Beenie, Definitely ring the midwife, at the very least - even if you can't get an appointment at this stage, it would be best to discuss it on the phone so she's aware and can hopefully offer some suggestions.

    Hello :D

Fishcake - Dont know how to do it, but definatly report him! If you cant find somewhere to move to before baby is born you dont want him hanging around when your trying to get in your house, etc.

Gemma - I did want a chocolate fountain, but we have a low budget so i thought a sweetie buffet can be the next best thing :D
Once at a house party i went to, they had a chocolate fountain and me and my friend drunkenly thought it would be a good idea to fill plastic cups with the chocolate and drink it. It was a fantastic idea at the time until we felt sick lol.

I've booked my 4d scan! I kept forgetting to do it, but i called today and booked it. Its on 12th December at 2:15pm :D And the man on the phone was lovely and said he would find an extra chair as i have 5 people wanting to come with and they usually only allow 4 :D

My V shaped pillow came this morning and my new duvet cover. And the doorbell just rang and it was the postman with 2 boxes for me! I instantly said to myself, "what did i buy???"

But one is the superman blanket someone knitted the baby and the other is an aptimal welcome pack :confused::confused: I already got the welcome back when i was first pregnant so now i have 2 little polar bears :D

Baby is being really active recently, she kicks so hard sometimes lol.

Just called the council as the bin men haven't taken my rubbish again! And they said if its still there at 4pm to call again and they will get someone to collect it tomorrow before 12 for me :j

Oooh also, ANOTHER one of my friends has gone into early labour this week. Thats 3 so far. Im hoping none of the others do as they are less pregnant than me :(
