It's my first scan today :j not until this afternoon though, gah - just want to get it over with!
Fishcake, I can recommend some earplugs if things are that bad with your neighbours, I do totally sympathise. I often sleep with flight/swim earplugs in... Would love to move too, we're just so bad at saving, I can't see that happening anytime soon. I know with the council once we've had a baby we'd be entitled to a 2 bed, albeit probably in a highrise; I'm not sure I'd want to jepordise that.0 -
Aless
Just told him and he said he would if not he would become public enemy on here if he does not, :T. Aless make the most of your 1st Monday off work.
Awww, thanks lou! Right now it just feels like a Saturday![STRIKE]Good[/STRIKE] morning all,
Well you would think i had got a new mattress yesterday as well as the base, i always thought the mattress had been overpriced as it was ...........well crap basically but with the new base it has a new life OH asked if i had got a mattress too. Let that be a lesson for anyone blaming their mattress to check the base lol
Now the only thing i need for a good nights sleep is for OH to go into DS's room and stay their and not wake me at 3.30am changing beds:mad:
It looks like i may have a PG friend in real life one of my friends is due a scan to find out this week. She won't know for definite as she has some medical issues and the medication can cause false positives and unfortunately in the past she has had miscarriages but she is sure she is a few months gone, so fingers n toes are crossed for her.
Hope we all have good days today.
Hope you can get some rest hon, wish the bed was better for you!!

Hi Gill
Yes you have the right person , Just got of the phone from my aunt and they are inducing her in the morning . She is due on the 11th of Jan ?? But because they done a op on her cervix from a abnormal smear when she was very early pregnant and did not know they brought the edd forward by about two weeks. ? Have to let my other cousin know via facebook because he is in lapland working with the kids and santa and my aunt has no internet access. Just got my fingers crossed.
Well if she's due 11th Jan she will only be 5-6 weeks early, and although not ideal that's not too bad really. One of my best friends came naturally 5 weeks early and there were no problems with him, and a lady at work was telling em she had both her kids 10 weeks early! They were both fine. So try not to worry!!It's my first scan today :j not until this afternoon though, gah - just want to get it over with!
Good luck with the scan!!!0 -
Hi all *waves*. I've not posted for ages but have lurked on and off so hugs to all who need them.
I'm now 21+4 and had my 2nd scan friday afternoon. It was lovely and to both our surprise we're on TEAM BLUE!! :T :j
Couldn't believe it, hubby was absolutely convinced bubba would be another girlie (got 2 daughters already) but the scan was very clear and theres no doubt whatsoever!
Got no idea what we're going to call him, we had the girls name all picked but can't agree on anything for our little man. Just as well we've got another 4 months to choose really!
How do I add the little male symbol next to my due date guys?

aless - happy first day proper of ML!
lou - am sure your cousin will be fine, 6 weeks is not so early as SJ says
kelink - congrats on team blue, I know exactly what you mean about it being obvious, here's one of my scan pics http://s794.photobucket.com/albums/yy223/laurajf_2009/Clusty/?action=view¤t=scan0004.jpg&newest=1 (hope that works, not used photobucket before!)
kindof - hope you don't feel rough all day and you get to benefit from some of your annual leave
32b - what a nightmare about the bed. bought a new mattress for our spare bed, hope it's comfy for when my mum comes to stay otherwise will never hear the end of it!
som - how organised, Christmas shopping in November! I must start soon - secure broadband on on Friday.
in my little world - cot is up as of half 8 last night! really really wierd it being next to the bed, still doesn't quite seem real! still not succumbed to IL's pressure on buying a moses basket - FIL nearly bought one in tesco apparently! - I do think they have a point on them being useful but I just don't like the look of them but then came across this: http://www.kiddicare.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/productdisplayA_42_10751_-1_14053_11900_10001_14053 - what do you think? my mum lives in Spain so we'll be spending a fair bit of time there in the New Year and also thinking of skiing in March so I think it'll be a lot more use to us than a moses basket, also will be handy for being round at IL's on christmas day.
was so uncomfy last night with low back and pelvic pains I really thought I might be busy giving birth this morning but no such luck. 3 days to go:eek: better get up and do the housework!0 -
Kelinik congrats on team blue!! I have been convinced this baby is a boy from the start but as it gets closer to the time I don't feel so sure! (didn't want to find out at our scan). I'm wondering if buying the couple of blue outfits was maybe a silly idea
Always can't see your scan pic as photobucket is blocked from work. That travel cot is really nice though, really cute!
Take it easy with the housework though!0 -
