charlton - congrats on the birth of Caitlyn!

ARGH!!:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek: am now 3rd on the list. Looks like little man will be a December baby after all, it seems like an age when I had all those panics about him being mega early with the growth scans, can't believe am 39+4 today!

Aless - like you I've spent the [STRIKE]day[/STRIKE] afternoon (after my little lie in;)!) sorting out baby stuff. Whose stupid idea was it to buy a 3 storey house?! Spent the last 3 hours going up and down stairs getting things in the right rooms but all baby's clothes are in his drawers now next to the made up cot. Could have sworn I had more than half a dozen vests but must have packed loads in the hospital bag!

jha - the breathlessness I found did get better when he'd dropped which was a good 3 weeks ago now so shouldn't be too long for you. I found undoing my bra helped as well as going for walks, even if it's hard work, as gravity must have helped him be a bit lower.

everyone is having car trouble - DP is worrying about our car being completely impractical as it's an ex-rally car and very powerful so therefore desperately uneconomic (this years service was just over £3k:eek:, don't even get me thinking about the mpg) but it's his baby (or was until 9 months ago!!) and I think we'll be OK. If the little man ever has a brother or sister tho I think that'll be another story!

Happy due date! I think both names are lovely. Grace is on our girls shortlist! Quick and easy labour vibes your way - sure you will want some by now!!

EA that's funny! Wait til I tell DH - he LOVES superman!

I did want Clark as the babys name is she was a boy, but OH said no lol.

Im very excited, someone from the ttc group has knitted me a superman themed baby blanket. Its very good and she's sending it this week :D

    Afternoon all :D

Sorry I've been MIA all weekend, have been lurking but really trying to get things in order in the house so not had chance to properly catch up & post til now! I'm taking a break from trying to get my maternity allowance form finished at the mo, nightmare that that is!

Kindof you've got a lovely bump there :D Must remember to do mine for comparison (p.s. did you realise we're now in double figures? 98 days to go eek ) Glad OH has agreed on names, it sounds really lovely & I'm sure your brother will be thrilled.

*Hugs* Three, sorry your mums sister is being a pain in the bum, hope your OH manages to get the car sorted asap for you.

Congrats Charlton & welcome Caitlyn :j

Afraid I've no advice JHA but hope bubs wriggles down a bit to give you more breathing room soon! Noticed I occasionally have trouble breathing now already, dread to think what it'll be like at the end :o

FR can't believe you've got your decs up already, though I suppose advent has started! We came home the other night and noticed our next door neighbour had all hers up already, which prompted us to order a new tree cos ours is pants, so will prob put up when it arrives :D Then I can make OH watch Santa Clause & the Lampoons Xmas with me, I loooooooove Christmas films :D Oooh & hope the flat hunting is going well, neighbour sounds mental!

Som have you tried eBay for the bookends you're after?

Fernlie glad the sickness seems to be passing :j

Lauz hope the scan has gone well :)

Aless hope you've enjoyed your first day of ML :D

Kelinik congrats on team blue :j

Where's Beenie today? Hope you're ok & not working yourself too hard!

SJ sorry about the car that's pants, is there anyone you could borrow from & pay back? Hope you had a lovely time in Scotland & got to play with your pushchair? :D

Glittery both are lovely names, lots of labour vibes for you!

Phew, long catch up there, hope I've not missed anyone off or missed any important events! We've had a mega productive weekend, nursery drawers went up Friday night, blind went up Saturday & shelves went up yesterday, and today my dad fitted the light (it's in the shape of a bird, mega cute!). It looks so lovely I'm so so pleased with it :) Only things left to do are fit the dimmer switch and touch up the walls, the rest is just finishing touches like getting the bedding sorted & buying some hooks for the door. Debating what to do with the wall by the cot as it looks really bare

Today I've been trying to get these forms for maternity allowance sorted, need to remember to send off HIPG form too. Not really sure when to apply from as I get 39 weeks so do I want them to start when baby arrives or sooner? I really don't know

Ooh I remember what I wanted to ask - someone mentioned to me the other day that there's a birthing centre in Wakefield which isn't too far from us, it's meant to be lovely & I think possibly a good compromise between home & hospital so planning to try & look round & find out more about it (& hoping the Drs will consider it a possibility), anyone else used a birthing centre/any thoughts on them?
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j

Always you're a nicer lady than me, I made OH get rid of his car as it was averaging 21 miles to the gallon

  • EA that's really sweet!! I wonder if my mum could knit one for us!!

We have Clark on our boys list as it's MIL's maiden name too so has special meaning for us as well as being superman themed!!

Always third is scarily near the top! I can't even imagine seeing my name so near the top just yet! It will be weird when there are no more 2009 babies left! Must be nice knowing you get to meet your LO so soon though :)
  • Gymfriend :hello: hello. Was wondering whether you'd been on actually as with me being away too I'd not seen you in a while!

Don;t have anyone to ask for the cash unfortunately. Really annoying as it's not really that much money! But mum and dad are struggling at the moment with thier business not doing too well, and they paid a massive chunk of the wedding for us which I think was either a big dent or all of their savings! Sister is now a student and none of my friends have that sort of cash that I could ask for really. Oh well!!! We'll manage somehow and our car is still working, just be annoying if it goes before we manage to get another.

    Hi
    Hope everyone is ok,
Congrats charlton and glad it all went well,
Why have my nesting kicked in when i cant bend down and i end up droppingh everything, me and oh had words the yesterday because he told me i was being too stubbon and would i please ask him to do things for me !!! I hate having to ask for things to be done but may have now to give in and ask. Got my hair done this morning so feel a lot better. They induced my cousin at midday so we are just waiting now, so it looks like there will be two babies at xmas which will be so so nice. Aless hope you are enjoying your ml, I am still expecting to go back next week but may be a bit hard as i am having my c-section but with my head the way it is i can see myself turning up at work one morning. So has bennie not been on i wonder if it's her lap top playing or or more !!!
Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j
