Hey all,
Thanks for all your messages they made me feel a bit better.
Turns out that man downstairs has split from his girlfriend and she moved out yesterday. He brought a load of drugs off another guy in the flats (something we've been suspicious of for a while) and OH said said there was loads of empty spirit bottles in his flat. When OH came back we had a cuddle and I had a little cry and we talk things through, I said that we needed to get out of here, I can't have our baby in a flat surrounded by druggys and an alchy because I predict that downstairs man will only get worse. So I will be hunting for flats like mad for the next few days and if needs be weeks. It is annoying because I love this flat but safety comes first doesnt it, and eventually we will need a second bedroom and I have such a fantasy of giving our baby a nursery before its born.
If we dont find something in time I might beg my mum and see if we can live in her spare room as its a guest room and would be okay while we were looking.
Sorry for the essay.

32b - lovely to see you back, I agree this thread is fab for a reality check when everything else is going mad in rl.
som - enjoy your yoga and hope it helps your pelvic pain. couldn't make aqua last week as was resting up as went to assessment unit on Thursday rather than Friday as was feeling so grim but all OK now. hopefully won't see you this Thursday either as that's the little man's due date, meant in the nicest way obviously!
beenie - hope you are feeling less "man" sad today, you sound like you are coping overall really well, don't beat yourself up about the ex, sounds like a waste of space to me.
fishcake - that neighbour sounds like a loon, let alone getting drugs of other neighbours, hope you get something sorted with a new flat.
demonic lounge curtain finished - just need to press it now but the idea of stood by the ironing board for 3 hours isn't particularly appealing!
DP and I have very very nearly finished the spare bedroom which means todays job is - finally!!! - assembling the cot:T as the spare room furniture is out of our room. DP's other job of the day will be make a changing top for the chest of drawers I've recycled and painted nice clean white, clever man actually went to the offcut section in b&q and got the wood needed for that for 2 quid :money:With the hand me down cot bed and 1 tin of wood paint, little one has nursery furniture for £140 and £130 of that was the mattress for the cot bed (as it's a cot bed so will be used til he is about 4 or something and I am on the green side of things, I splashed out a bit here with an organic one). Better get on with things, starting with kicking dp out of bed!
4 days to go now:eek:0 -
Morning!
Dishwasher is coming today!
Had a good nights sleep last night until this morning when i had a really bad dream that me and OH went to this newspaper thing, and there was alcohol and he got really drunk and wanted to go to a party. When i said i wanted to go home he left me to walk home at midnight alone and broke up with me  I woke up really upset and had to get a hug
We were laying in bed talking this morning and he had his arm over bump and she was really kicking at him lol. I think he was invading her space :rotfl:
26 weeks today, 14 weeks/98 days left  Eeek!Your baby's becoming more sensitive to sound as the network of nerves in her ears develops. If dad talks to her now, she might learn to recognise his voice. The more she hears it, the more likely she is to find it soothing after she's born. If he feels strange just talking to the baby, he can read the newspaper or a book out loud
I got an email y'day saying "You should of had your baby by now....etc" i was like 'what?!' i think the website had the wrong EDD lol
Fishcake - Good luck in flat hunting! You staying in the Havant area? Im glad the wierdo left you alone last night
Beenie - I wont tell if you dont tell anyone i want to murder my cat sometimes :rotfl: Honestly he's really getting on my nerves now, he's acting up so much. He keeps eating food off my plate before i even start it  And a shove away doesn't stop him, he only moves his bum but forces his head on the plate still. And the meowing at night... :rotfl:
Of course OH see's no wrong in him, cause Jools is his 'baby' :rolleyes:0 -
omg, there's gonna be a cat murder here tonight
I forgot to kick my stupid cat out before bed and it woke me up at 4:50am
MEOWWWWWWWW MEEEEEEEEEOWWWWWWW *repeat x 1000*
:mad::mad::mad::mad:
So now the cat is firmly outside, but been trying to get back to sleep for ages and hunger kicking in so now i'm eating cereal and soooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoyed, this could have been my last ever chance for a lie in!!
 At your cat...I think ours has firmly got the message, we don't care if he is in or out overnight...but whichever it is, it stays like that any meowing and he gets seriously wet:o Which I don't think he likes:pPoor Beeenie i remember what it was like when the cat wanted out such a pitiful meow lol
I'm up thanks to OH sleepwalking from sleeping with DS trying to find the door to get to the loo, well he only goes and stands on the big dog cue growling, then as i make a dash for the room half asleep in panic as to why he is growling OH falls onto DS's bed cue dog wanting to eat OH when DS lets out a scream.lol
So i'm now up with the dog who is passing between the bedrooms making sure OH stays in bed. need to do some ironing but can't be bothered because OH moved the long flex and i can't find it and would need to stand in the corner where i can't see the TV.
Come to think of it i'll have the cat Beenie and you can have my OH, he can finish your decorating for you lol

I know exactly how you feel, we were in a flat like this, add on the druggies being raided by aremed police every few weeks and the alchy next door having hundreds of people over-running his flat and robbing him every weekend:eek:
I am sooo glad we got out of there before ds1 came along....we had moved into our house in the November and ds1 was born the following November:D
I really hope you find somewhere suitable (with two beds) quickly:D:D

Afternoon everyone!
Went out for a chinese with a group of friends yesterday, was really nice but I think I ate too much and didn't sleep very well! Feeling tired today now.
I don't know where you lot get all your energy to get things done (esp you beanie!!) I find it so hard to motivate myself to do anything, and feel guilty coz poor DH ends up doing it all.
kindof- I was born in AshingtonLived in Cramlington tho and then moved to the northwest when I was 6 so lost my accent totally! We have family in Morpeth and Gateshead so still get to the North East sometimes for visits.

awww Beenie hun, your post made me well up...
Im not going to know anyone in Darlington, so i mean, if you ever fancy coffee or glossing some doors, maybe we could meet up, and become friends or something? I dunno..... i mean its pretty hard to make friends when ur older i think, especially if you dont work, I wont be working when we move, so literally will know my sister, her partner and my hubby and thats all....... lolWealth is not measured by currency0 -
Gill I am the same if I eat too much, stops me from sleeping well. I never learn though.
Well I have made pastry for the first time ever today! Just got some mince pies in the oven. Only put 6 in to start with cos I'm not sure what size tin I should have used etc so want to see how these turn out before I put any more together!0 -

Yes I was! When's your birthday? Mine is April so we'd be in the same school year if yours is jan - august. Can't remember what my school was called but it merged with another one when I went into my second yearSarah_Joanne wrote: »Gill I am the same if I eat too much, stops me from sleeping well.
