    Afternoon ladies & gent :)

Muso glad you're feeling better & sickness is wearing off :D Looks like you got some fab bargains too!

On bra talk, must admit I'm a total cheapskate and have bought a Primark one! Not sure what size they go up to but I was in a 36dd and I'm now in a 36e, though I got one in a 38e too but it feels too big in the back. They're good stop gap bra's :)

EA & Kindof, you reminded me, went to try & book scan earlier this wk & can't get a slot that fits in with OH's work & he can't get time off :( Gutted, meant to ring around and see if we could get one anywhere else today but not found time.

Carpet man has been & nursery looks lovely (as do my stairs & landing, wahoo!), and I've put the cot up :) Looks really nice in there now, debating whether these drawers would be ok? Our cot is this one, not sure if the drawers are too modern...though our house is very modern, all black, grey & white :/
    Baby Boy arrived March 25th 2010 - 17 days late & 8lb 10oz :j

With DD I made the big mistake of going to mothercare for my maternity bras. I was pre pregnancy a 34G and she tried to tell me I was a 44J. I said I thought it was unlikely as I was still wearing all my pre preg bra's in a 34G and they fitted fine, she said well thats what the tape is telling me, so why don't you try it on. It was comically big on me, and so she made me try on loads of smaller sizes until lo and behold I was a 34G, she told me it looked too tight and to get the 36G which I did. It was too large, especially once DD was born (remember that although your cup size increases, due to increased lung capacity in pregnancy your back size usually goes down) and they rubbed me raw, I wanted to burn them. I wore under wired bra's all through pregnancy, and as quick as poss once DD was born and I'm still feeding DD through preg no.2. Just have to make sure the underwire isn't digging in anywhere as this can cause mastitis (even if your not planning on breastfeeding you can still get it from badly fitting bra's)

I rate bravissimo and John Lewis/ Marks and spencers (though JL and M&S never have many bigger sizes) Also I have a hotmilk nursing bra for once baby is born and it is really comfy, they go up to a G in some styles.
  • I have a question........maybe a silly one but I'm sure you all know. Is it okay to have hot baths? I usually love having hot baths at this time of the year but I'm wondering if it's safe to do so. I can't stand having a bath that's only warm so if I can't have it a decent temperature I'll just have to day dream about one instead

    Hello ladies

I've been dipping in and out as I dont really feel like I "belong" over here just yet, nothing personal, its just me being silly about not really being pregnant.
I'm 11 weeks today, and (finally) had my dating scan last week (after so many phone calls and arguments etc).....
Im still waiting on my booking in appt and 12 week scan...

But on a positive note, I've seen our baby, and his little heart going 10 to the dozen, and it made me feel a lot safer in this pregnancy. Our first pregnancy ended in mmc, and we only found out at the 12 week scan and that was a year ago...

    Anyway...... in short.......
I feel a bit lost, I'm not working as we're about to relocate to the north, I suffered really badly with morning/24/7 sickness, and Im a bit scared about whats going on, how we're going to afford the baby, whether im going to be a good enough mum.... and i dont really know anyone else whose been pregnant to talk to about any of it....

    sorry to just offload .....

I asked this question when i was first pregnant lol. Everyone on here said you can have hot baths, but only to as hot as you can stand.
If your having to lower yourself in slowly then its a no-no lol.

But if you can get in fine then it should be ok :)

I cant comment cause i have practically cold baths cause im a wuss :rotfl:

    So.....

THE WASHING MACHINE IS HERE! Its so pretty and white :D
My dad just phoned and said he might come round really soon to install it for me :D
  • We need a new washing machine too, you can hear our washing machine 2 streets away when it's spinning:rotfl:

Well the washing machine is fitted! Its fab and i love it! lol

Dishwasher is coming on Sunday, so my life is going to be so much easier now :j

My dad just tried to turn on our boiler and informed us that it wont turn on as its broke! We've been in the cold since we moved in cause we just thought it was turned off and was waiting for my dad to come and turn it on lol. So we need to get hold of landlord to fix that aswell now.

No way im bringing up a baby in an ice cold house. I dont mind wearing extra jumpers etc, but its not fair on her :(

Yay for a set date lou!! 10th December is so not far away though!
Just think baby will be 15 days old on xmas day!! :D

My pregnant friend has to have a c-section in december to, she just told me that at her scan on tuesday baby was still breech. Im trying to make her think of all the positives cause she's so worried :o

CAFC - glad to see you here also, wondered how you've been getting on. I'm so pleased that you're dating scan went well and you saw heartbeat - must have been such a relief for you. Everything you are worrying about is completely natural, especially as you're not working so have nothing to take your mind off it iykwim. I'm sure you will be a brilliant mum, and you will find you cope with money once baby is here. You can make it all as cheap or expensive as you need to suit your budget.

I'm pretty sure I felt baby move today. I was relaxing at my friends house and it felt like something was tickling me on the lower right hand side of my tummy (which is where we found heartbeat) I checked my clothes and it wasn't them, then it happened a few more times. Does that sound about right? I'm 17 +3
