Hi all, have just rang my doctors to see if i can arrange to have the swine flu jab as I am 23weeks pregnant, and my daughters playgroup have announced there are children with families who have the swine flu, but I have been told they have no more vaccines available, i should ring them on the 10th dec and they may or may not have some in then, nice of them
I thought it was available for all pregnant women0 -

morning all! was quiet here yesterday - hope you are all doing OK. 39 weeks for me today :D
my day of relaxing didn't turn out too relaxing so am going to make a concerted effort today to relax otherwise dread to think what the day care assessment will be like tomorrow.
failed on the nursing bra front big time - the young girl in mothercare had to look at charts to work things out which didn't instill much confidence, she measured me as a 40B which considering I started at a 36C seems daft! I have been wearing 38D as thats what I was measured at at about 12 weeks but they definitely don't fit properly anymore as the back rides up and the cups are baggy so I tried on loads of styles from 36 through to 40 B-D and no joy. Perhaps I'll just go au naturel and let my boobs gravitate to my knees?! Am thinking of trying the big mothercare on Purley Way at the weekend to see if they are any better, can't think of where else to try.
lunch out was fun and then went into the City to catch up with friends for the last time before little one gets here which was lovely, even if they were all drinking! Got in at 10pm, checked my bp, recoiled in shock and went to bed. where I still am! with a headache and total apathy to getting up even though I know the rubbish immersion heater is going to give me a cold shower if I don't get up soon!
Hi All, hope everyone is doing well, just a quick post before LO wakes up again. I went to the Mothercare in purley way and it was useless. Can't suggest what to try - I was going to get a nursing bra at home when I go up for Christmas but my home town is Cockermouth and the bra shop was flooded along with the hairdressers I was going to go to and all my favourite pubs. You could try the internet? I got a bra from here which was good - you can return them for free as well if the size isn't right http://www.nursingbra-shop.co.uk/search.asp?types=Bravado my sister says Hot Milk is the best.

Because the people in Mothercare aren't properly trained to fit bras (Som, correct me if wrong!!)...try a place that actually trains their employees specifically, like M&S or for larger ladies, Bravissimo (as a larger lady, I won't go anywhere BUT Bravissimo for a fitting).top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

Hiya everyone, i cant remember if i've been on here since having my scan on tues. I've had a quick look through and cant see a post. Blumming pregnancy brain:rolleyes:.
Anyhoo if i havent already told you all my 21wk scan went really well and i'm having another boy:j. It was really bizzare watching the scan because he was laid with his back to my back so we could see everything really clearly (like looking down on him iyswim) bit awkward to get a piccy tho, she had to really dig in and try and get baby to move on his side to get the usual profile photo.
Bless my gran could wait to go out shopping when i told her and shes been buying vests and sleepsuits already, then my dad has asked if he can buy us our cot and mattress. At this rate we wont need to buy anything else!
Has anyone claimed the pampers hamper from Tesco's yet? Just wondering what you get. Boo hiss to boots too! I lost my voucher to get the free changing bag so e-mailed them and asked if i could still claim it as i'm always in there buying stuff and they said no:o, they dont re-issue lost vouchers. Gutted coz we need a changing bag and it would of been ideal. OH said they probably looked at your last purchase and saw how many points you swindled out of them them and said no way. I got our pushchair and toiletries for ds, spent £150 so got £45 worth of points using various codes;). My mum said i should just tell them instore that i've forgotten my voucher and hopefully get it anyway, but i'm a scaredy cat:o.£387.39/£196.46

I wish we has a bravissimo near us. I went to mothercare to get measured and she certainly wasnt trained. She measured me as a 36b, i'm currently wearing a 32g!!!. I then went to m&s she measured me as a 32/34h but they dont go up that far:o. Need to find somewhere near me that does large sizes where i can be properly fitted that wont cost a fortune.£387.39/£196.46

nickynoo - Bravissimo do exchanges so you could always order the size M&S told you and if it's wrong, exchange it. It's really really hard to find nursing bras above a G, but there's a few floating around Bravissimo and I think brastop.com (but the cheapest I've found is about £22 and was from Bravissimo).
oh and also, I think Fitzio went to Bravissimo for nursing bras a while back and they told her the best time to be measured was after 36 weeks, as it's only after then they'll have the best idea of how big your boobs will be when baby's born. Just remember that any bra you buy now needs to have plenty of room for milk to come in!top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

hi everyone,
hope you're all well.
just been catching up & saw people posting how many days left and now i've scared myself!
i am due in 22 days - working for 2 of those, have visitors for 6 of them, & have other plans for about 4 of them. that leaves 10 days free until i'm due & i don't think that's enough time to do everything i need to! haven't started packing my bag yet, don't have the car seat, and haven't sorted the nursery!
  :j Very proud mummy to Evie Mae born 26/12/09 :jAims for 2010 - be a good mummy, lose (some) weight, clear (some) debts, be happy0
