    Afternoon :)

Nickynoo, congrats on team blue! :D

I went to mothercare for my bra, i was in 36DD bras and i was spilling out of them lol.

They measured me as 40DD so i tried them on and its ok. I have the straps on the tightest setting so it fits well and also so it acts almost like a wired bra! :rotfl:

Big boobed girls and wireless bra's do not mix well :o

Im 30 mins into my washing machine delivery slot :D
    Well excited! lol

Oooh we have hailstones! Poor OH got caught in them, and our poor cat is terrified! :rotfl:
So i gave him some treats to make him feel better :D

Oooh, and i just had a bath and was watching bump move about, it was really funny as she only started moving when daft punk came on (i listen to music in the bath :D)
But she seemed to move from one side to the other and stick her bum out, my bump looked lopsided for a while.
I was poking her gently to get her to move as it was uncomfortable :rotfl:

Ohhh so you are 40DD now, I know we cant be exactly the same but I ordered some bras from Simply Be and they are too tight, I got 38DD so I need to order more, so I will go for 40DD and 42DD maybe?

I am wearing a 38DD wired one at the minute and by the time I go home I have red raw marks under my boobs from where its been diggin in :(

Nicky if you have a debenhams or john lewis anywhere nearby their fitting service is normally ok although not as good as bravissimo. Big nursing b ras are hard to come by - bravissimo go up to a j or jj. I also found a seller on ebay who has some in 32 back up to a j cup which seem to be ok and are the same brand as the bravissimo maternity bras. (i'm actually a 30hh at the moment and only 15 weeks but wanted something comfy for wearing around the house) The sellers name was nursingbracompany.

I have to admit I don't see me ever leaving the house in non wired bras though, they just don't do enough for big boobs!

p.s. EA, having seen your bump pic I'd be very surprised if there is any way you are really a 40 back, you're far far too slim for that! Our local mothercare has a reputation for too big back too small cup mis-measurements!

Kindof, i only got non wired cause they were digging in me and leaving half moon style marks around my boobs lol.

Scotsgirl - I thought that to, i can still pull it away from my body and its on the tightest setting, i do have a bit of a fat back though lol.

I'll grow into it i imagine though :D

If a bra is too tight, you may need to go up a cup size NOT a band size. This is why getting properly fitted is important. When you go up a cup size, the band is naturally a bit looser, so if a 38DD is too tight, try a 38E. If the cups feel funny, try a 36E - that's probably more of what you need rather than a too-large band.

Look at Bravissimo's fitting guide. Most women are wearing the wrong size because they don't understand how a bra should *really* fit.

EA - I'm not small and I have a fairly large ribcage and I'm only a 36!! (and used to be 34 before pregnancy) YOu likely need much bigger cups and NOT a bigger back size. Try going up 1 or 2 cup sizes but with a 34 or 36 back. You'll see a big improvement and the cups won't dig into you either. Remember the centre part between the cups should lie FLAT against your sternum and the back your bra should be low down in line with the bottom of the cups. Most women get this wrong. 99% of the support from your bra actually comes from the wide strap around, NOT the shoulder straps, which is why it's important to get an accurate back size.

Best tip...ignore the label and buy what fits...even if something like an F or G sounds really scary! :D

Definitely too big in the back then EA lol. I have backfat too (I'm not as slim as the back size suggests by a long way lol, just have a small ribcage/waist normally) but it tends to look worse in a too big bra. Girl I worked with got measured at our local mothercare, she was a 32f before pregnancy, had worked her way up to a 34g I think in normal bras, and they tried to tell her she was a 42b. Errr, No, Sorry. Bravissimo trip and she was something like a 34hh. Not far off then.

I'm tired of feeling fat lol - wish this bump would hurry up and start looking like I'm pregnant!

p.s totally agree with aless's suggestions, when I was in Bravissimo the girl said that most women who they fit don't tend to go u more than 1 or maybe 2 back sizes, but lots of growth in the cup size. If you were getting half moon marks, it means the underwire was sitting on breast tissue most likely, which definitely means you need bigger cups!

Ah cool, i might google bravissimo to find the nearest stockist. I know theres not one near me at all, but im planning on going to alot of citys over the next few months so there should be one somewhere :D

They can fit me properly then :D

    Or i'll try M&S or John Lewis :D x
  • Hi everyone! Haven't posted in a while as not much to say but been lurking.

Congrats to all the new babies and all the newly pregnant people!:j

I think my morning sickness has finely left!:j Haven't been sick since Saturday which is a record since I was 6 weeks! Mind you Saturday was spectacular. DH and I went to cinema and restaurant for our 2nd anniversary and I ended up leaning over the toilet in Chiquitos!

On the bra front - prepregnancy I was a 42E but quite early on I started to grow. Couple of weeks ago got fitted in M and S as a 42G!!! Couldn't wear their actual maternity bras tho, they just didn't hold my boobs up. Ended up going with one of their non-wired post surgery bras and it fits like a dream. I've never had such a comfy bra and it's really supportive.

I'm 15 weeks now and due another midwife appointment next week. Also got my letter for swine flu vac but think I've pretty much decided not to have it. I figure a known risk isn't as bad as an unknown risk iyswim.

Started buying things for bubs now, doing lots of ebay hunting. This week I got this playmat http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300367478573&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

    and this moses basket http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270485511135&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
