  • Hi All!! Sorry if this has already been posted, but, haven't had time to read through all the posts (man - things move fast on here) can't wait until on ML and I don't have work getting in the way :rotfl:

Anyway, just got back from Boots and they have several JOhnsons Baby prodcuts on for £1 each, including wipes. I also got a huggies newborn box for 1/2 price £5.50, which includes 2 x pack of newborn nappies, pack of wipes and some disposable (i think) changing mats. Plus obviously your extra points of your in the parenting club. I hope that is of use to someone.

Hope all bumps are well, mine is getting heavy and I still have just over 5 weeks to go

 Last night OH came in from work and gave me a big bag of revels and said "I bought you these as i love you"

Well i left them to have today, and i started eating them and offered him some and he said "No i bought them for you as a gift"

So i ate, say, 75% of the bag and put the rest down.

He's just looked in the bag and said "You ate all the revels!" To which i replied, "Yes i know, they were for me"
And he said "No, they are for us to share!"

And is now eating them :( :rotfl:

awww lou, at least you know what is going on now and that bumper is ok - dont forget there's still loads of choices you can make regarding the birth - there was an article in the nct mag i got yesterday - like cord cutting (for oh) do you want baby cleaned first or straight to you for skin to skin, some hosp allow photos as the baby is delivered, do you want to try b/feeding as soon as you are able etc. And they encourage ladies to get up and about within 24 hrs of the birth so you will be on your feet in no time:D I am not sure about the date choice but sure you will be super excited once you know what day your lo is arriving:D

    Yep here it is "
Many women are surprised by the scope of options available, even though a caesarean is surgery. Women who have had time to think about what aspects of birth are important to them, have often found it helpful to think through what they might like to have during their operation and state their preferences while discussing choices at the time.
Your health professionals may be wary of discussing caesarean preferences until they realise these are not medical requests, but just environmental ones. For example, some women have chosen to have a commentary during the birth, to have music playing, or complete silence; to take photographs or record the birth on a camcorder; see their baby born via a lowered screen or with a mirror; be the first person to greet their baby; discover the sex of the baby themselves or decide who they would like to give them this information."

I had an emergency CS with Henry last week, so if you have any Qs I'm happy to share my experience. I breastfed an hour after birth and was home after two nights in hospital.
