BIG CONGRATS to the fattybooboo family! Well done, and welcome to the world master boo boo! :D xx

PP- thinking of you for tomorrow, I'm sure all will be fine, try to get a bit of sleep at least. x

Aless- I had 2 moses basket sheets and that was plenty, she was a very sicky baby, but usually she missed her moses basket, and I got it all! lol! one on, one in the wash was fine, and like you say at a push you can use a pillow case/ towel/ cot sheet folded in half etc..

Blankets wise I had about 7 (people bought some, and I bought a couple of bargains) but I tended to have 2 faves that I would rotate. I was tempted and bought those gorgeous soft fluffy ones, that have the silky material on the other side- big mistake! It felt like I was going to drop DD all the time! Lol! It was so slippery in your hands, so they got relegated to the drawer. :D

ETA- just noticed your planning on using washable nappies, so yeah 2 will def be fine! That washing machine will be on non stop so you will always have a clean one, like I said DD was a very sicky baby, and I constantly had a muslin under her chin, her nappies/ blankets/ clothes/ etc were always in the wash and clean straight away, the only thing no-one ever warns you about if you have a baby is that clothes that fit you are so scarce (old stuff too tight, pregnancy stuff massive) so just finding something to wear is a nightmare, you get dressed, then baby sicks (and for a tiny thing it is amazing how much can come out!) all down you and you need a whole change of outfit!! I will be honest, I spent a lot of time sponge cleaning sick patches and spraying on a bit of febreeze as I literally had 2 pairs of trousers and a couple of tops, you just seem to forget about yourself! Sorry went off on a tangent, just remembered that, while writing about sick! Lol! :D

PP, good luck for tomorrow, I hope all goes well :)

I wonder how gisi is getting on? :)

I'm laying in bed at the moment, Reading my pregnancy book it says I should be having a tour of the labour ward soon. Is that right? I thought it was a bit early.
Plus the place I'm going to doesn't open until jan 2010 lol
  • Huge congrats to Fattybooboo :T

EA you should have phoned them when you were 20 weeks and booked it for around 30 weeks I can give you the number if you don't have it but I've got it in my notes.

SJ - I read you were taking calcium supplements. Can I just ask what strength and where they are from as this is something that i worry about? I don't drink much milk although I am trying to eat cheese and have some yoghurts but don't think Ill be getting enough.

Congrats to Boo and family!! Look forward to the pics of your new baby boy. Hope you are both well.

Aless – Hope you don’t mind me offering my opinion... We have about 6 fitted sheets, 6 flat sheets and 6 cellular blankets. It is far more than I need, however I don’t have a sicky baby. Some people have to change bedding during the night due to sickness or leaky poo though so thought I would be washing continually if I didn’t get a few sets in! As we are using sleeping bags, we don’t have much use for the flat sheets and blankets anymore so I would probably suggest a minimum of 2 of each of them and 4 fitted sheets. If you have a pram, your Moses basket bedding can be used in that too so has double use (I forgot I would need a fitted sheet in my pram!!). I only have 1 cosy pram blanket by the way, but I keep seeing people with prams all dressed up!

SJ – Do your pelvic floor exercises whether you like them or not!!!! Trust me lol!

Labour vibes and hugs to Boogelly. Hope things get moving or you soon.

No news on GISI? Was she being induced yesterday?
