Seems to be the time for BFP's!
I was so surprised to get mine when I did as I tested 6 days before my period was due (impatient me!) and it came back with a very faint line and since then I have had 7 positives and my AF didn't turn up when I was expecting it. I'm just keep fingers and toes tightly crossed for everything to go well now.
Congrats Leopardlady0 -
Hiya to all the newbies! I too suffered from MS, it was horrible. I also felt severely depressed because of it, wasn't much fun to be around.
Nothing happening here. Been to the library and stocked up with books to keep busy - I am SO bored sitting around waiting for my little madam to put in an appearance. My OH is not impressed as he had to go to work and they have started piling him high with work again as it's near xmas (he works for Parcelforce). Bless him, he wants his 2 weeks off!0 -
Those of you who have worked/are working pretty close to the end (well, I'm only going 'til 36 weeks, but still), did you find it pretty hard to sit at your desk?? I can't get close enough as bump is in the way - though have same problem at the dinner table!!
I worked till a week before my due date and had no problems but my desk at worked is curved and was very comfy to sit at, I actually found the seat more comfy than my sofa and missed it when I finished work :rotfl:. My seat was adjustable so I lowered it and had a stool to put my feet on when I felt like it. I also moved my keyboard closer to the edge.
Had loads of food spilt on my bump at end end and worse still - toothpaste!Mum to DD born Oct 2009

Hi all. Congrats to the new BFP's
Well here is the update on my day. I got up this morning to go for the scan and went for a wee and when I stood up from the loo a few spots of blood came out. I thought it might be my show so I wiped and nothing much else, so I put a pad on and though yay that I was going to the hospital anyway as I could ask there.
So we drove to the hospital and I had a quick wee before the scan but still not much else on the pad so carried on. They did the scan, they were very thorough which was good, and all was fine bar the amniotic fluid was a bit on the low side, so with that, and me mentioning the blood, they sent me to day care to be looked at.
In day care, I went for a wee again and this time had more pinky fluid on the pad so they look a look and said it could be the show. But the fluid kept leaking as I was stood, felt a bit like a heavy period. They then monitored me and babys heartbeat firstly for a good 40 mins I reckon. Then a doctor did an internal examination and during this I could feel the fluid still leaking out, he took a swab from inside and checked my cervix which was still closed. The doctor came back advising that my waters had broken. So I have been sent home as not really having any contractions, just a bit of aching down the bottom right of my pelvis alrea. So fingers crossed something will happen soon!! They said if nothing happens in 96 hours then I will be induced, which I guess would be Friday. Sorry for my self waffling post!!

Hello to the lovely newly pregnant ladies, ask anything you want on here no-one will laugh:)
I am feeling really paranoid about my scan on Friday, I'm sure everything will be OK It is just horrible not having any symptoms!! Not that I want chronic morning sickness or anything, but a little bit of nausea and sore boobs would suffice.....just so I can feel reassured.

Ooh Mel I was going to ask when your scan is! How exciting. I think everyone feels paranoid before the 12 week one as up until then it doesn't seem real.Leopardlady wrote: »HI Ladies, i am just popping my head in as i got my BFP yesterdayI waited almost a week to test, but am still just waiting to make sure this is a sticky one.
So just a quick hello
Massive congratulations LL. I am really thrilled for you.
Trace went well at the hospital. I even got my own room! Everyone was as it should be. It was so busy up there though, I was kind of glad I got bumped to tomorrow as the MW said they have less people booked in then! I'm sure I'll have a blind panic about it all later but at the moment I just cannot wait to get started.

Ooh Fattybooboo, we crossed posts! How exciting :j:j:j! We might be birth date buddies!!!!!
Really glad they checked you out and everything is okay. A RL friend of ours had her waters break yesterday morning and started contractions this morning so hopefully the same will happen for you. They were up at the hospital we went to and we saw the rather haggard looking Dad!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

GISI - Ha yey it would be cool to be birth date buddies!! Ooh ur RL friends situation sounds similar to my work friends, hers took about 21 hours from waters to contractions being about 5 mins apart. I really hope so as I wanna get on with it now, lol!!Baby Toby born 17th Nov 09 :j0
