Som, I can get annoying chafing too but never bothered trying any gels (I'm too cheap). If it's REALLY bad, try some Sudocrem? Otherwise I just put up with it
There just seems so much extra...moisture...down there since pregnant

oooh good luck GISI and Fattybooboo. would be fab if you both have your babies on same day
ymakesmile - The booklet I got from the doctor said to avoid paracetamol in first 12 weeks. Everything I have read on the internet seems to suggest it is ok though. I was a bit paranoid so I bought a 4head stick from the chemist which seemed to work quite well.
PP - sound like a nightmare day for you. That's really sweet that your friend wants to stay over and look after you
Has anyone heard anything from MGEB, she's not been on here for a while and I'm sure she had her 12 week scan last week. Hope she's ok.
I'm shattered tonight, couldn't sleep last night then when I did eventually drop off it must have been in the wrong position coz when I woke up my hip was killing meHad an awful day at work as well, really quiet and on top of all the job so felt like we were just twiddling thumbs all day. Something which is very unusual and very boring!!!!
oooh meant to add, I have a voucher for 40% off at Bonmarche that I can email to anyone who wants it. Clothes go from size 12 - 24 and have some really nice nightwear in at the moment. Don't do a maternity range unfortunately though.Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
PP - sorry you had a pants day.
Thanks GISI, I hope they are the beginnings of things. Your tightenings may be the same thing and may just get worse as time goes on, fingers crossed, as mine have deffo got worse over time. I just dont know when to think right that is deffo a contraction but I keep thinking if im thinking that then they cant be. Having said that, just as I was typing that I got one in my back again and that was deffo more painful and made me feel a lil sick
Just been finishing a few bits of ironing so that that is up together incase I do end up going in. Pity my washing machine isnt working but the hopefully correct part should be coming tomorrow so my dad can hopefully get it fixed then whether we are here or not.Baby Toby born 17th Nov 09 :j0 -
Ymakesmile – congratulations on your pregnancy:beer:
Jessimacalucy87 – congratulations of your pregnancy too:D
OMG leopardlady – you were such a help to me on the tcc thread – and now you are here – congratulations. HUUUGE STICKY BEAN VIBES TO YOU:j:j:j
Yay for your waters going booboo – hopefully something will start for you soon:D
Hugs Mel – everyone gets a bit stressed before their scan. Hopefully Friday will come soon for you – and you can update us too.
Congrats gisi on a successful trace.:D
Sorry you are feeling sicky princess. But its great your friend is coming to stay – a helping hand and all that.:D I have thrush on my bits and in my mouth at the mo.:o I got canesten 1% cream from the chemist initially but it didn’t work so now I have got the 2% cream from the chemist and that has worked a treat. My mouth is very sore though (diff med) – like having a sore throat. That’s good 35 weeks – just a bit bigger than me. That midwife sounds like a newbie to me - i would take her measurement and difficulty getting the hb with suspicion - my mw who is a newbie took 20 mins to find the HB last visit and i can get it straight away on my doppler – I would have found that comment about a home birth upsetting. And saying “if you aint had it by then”:eek: – I would report her – that is out of order.:mad:
Som – and labelled for OH
Yay for the wallpaper stripping always – that’s impressive – I am struggling with the cleaning.0 -
Reflux is the devil.
To be fair i did have a disgusting microwave burger thing at lunch, but seriously it's becoming the bane of my life. Peptac just doesn't cut it anymore. I miss toast, or anything bready
I used to just eat toast and have some peptac afterwards but it's beyond curable now so it's not worth it anymore, no matter how much i tell myself it'll be ok lol.0 -
Sorry for the bad reflux beenie.
heres the contraction master for those trying to time tightnings / contractions http://www.contractionmaster.com/
I am off to do a bit more cleaning
:jHUUUUGEEE LABOUR VIBES TO THOSE THAT NEED THEM:j0 -
Princess platy_ I have found a miracle cure for thrush and I found it worked much quicker than canesten etc. I seemed to keep getting it from when I was pG the first time, even though I have tried everything, including throwing all my pants away and buying new (after washing them on 95, pinging them in the microwave, and ironing them), cutting out dairy and sugar and wheat from my diet, and trying every cream out there. Anyway, it is called acidiphilious, and you get it from the health food shop, it is basically a probiotic/ prebiotic capsule, and is that good bacteria you hear about
I had been taking it as a supplement, until I read online that you can open a capsule and put the powder from it straight onto the affected area (ahem!) I put cream on, then put the powder on top, and it went within 2 days, when normally canesten takes 3-4 for me.
Also don't know if you know, but you can ask pharmicist for the non name brand canesten, works exactly the same and half the price. I really feel for you as it is hell- I hate thrush0 -
Congrats LeopardLady - Lovely to see you here.
Also congrats to the newbies on your bfp's
JHA - I love your nursery, it's beautiful - and you have a lovely bump!

Yay for tightenings - definitely record them 'just in case'
Thanks everyone for the supportive words, I just want to see a healthy heartbeat. I am soooo stressed at the moment with everything else in my life that I just want some positive news.
Gotta run, tying to finish The Great Gatsby before bedtime and do some work on my presentation for Thursday!!!!
