On my notes i have a green bit of paper which says "your birth plan" at the top, and then loads of check boxes and notes sections. But mine is for the MW to fill out when she's discussing it with me i think

jha - I can't remember if my book had room for notes, so I was just going to type up something and print it off - I think on websites like Baby Centre and the like they have birth plan ideas. MW said we would cover that at the 36wk appt, so I'll do mine after that (even though I already know what I want). Oh and for your other question...palpable is how much they can feel, so the lower the number the better but it's the opposite for engaged. So 1/5 palpable means 4/5 engaged, which means bubs is almost locked and loaded...is that what you meant??

thats what i was asking thanks:D i got confused with palpable and relation to brim i think when your baby goes from free to just starting to think about engaging. I think i need to do a bit more research:o I just got my head around the oblique / ceph / breach thing and it dutifully turned to ceph:rotfl:
  • The feeling sick wont go no matter what i do and my sore throat is back with avengeance :( wanted to try and get the girls room sorted out today to doesnt look like that is going to happen at this rate but i need to do it coz my new wardrobes and drawers etc are all coming tomorrow afternoon :(

jha ~ i just had a look at my notes (got told off for not having them on me the last time i was admitted like i was supposed to know id end up on maternity assessment when i got sent to a&e by nhs direct for a sore throat  so they are now constantly next to me in my bag :rotfl: ) there is nothing in mine neither, infact mine look different to when i had the girls too as im sure there was a space in there

Mine has the general info on the front then follows like this
    antenatal clinic notes page 1&2
    antenatal pathological reports page 3
    haematology pathological reports page 4
    fetal bi-parietal diameters page 5
antenatal ultrasound and x ray reports page 6
    urinary oestriols page 7
    urinary oestrriol reports page 8
    admission notes page 9
    antenatal inpatient notes page 10 & 11
there is then a graph for loads of different things to be plotted onto  page 12
temperature & pulse chart page 13
    labour notes page 14,15&16
Then graphs for contractions/fetal heart rate/blood pressure and pulse/urine/drugs and iv fluids on pages 17 & 18
    vaginal examination page 19
    summary of labour page 20
    particulars regarding patients admitted for c sect pages 21, 22, 23 & 24
    post partum notes page 25
temprature and pulse chart page 26
post natal pathological reports and x ray reports page 27
examination on transfer or discharge & 6/52 post natal examination page 28
case summary letter/ anti d immunoglobin admin form page 29
    consent forms page 30

i guess i just have to put mine in on a bit of paper too and watch it get lost with all the extra reports etc that are in there :rolleyes:

Thanks very much gymfiend that is a lovely thorough list which i dont have in my notes:j OH has decided he is going to put a copy in his labour bag too as well as my notes so he knows whats going on:D

I would like to do it now to give us time to discuss the different options and be ready before we attend the next consultant appt at 36 weeks. We have a very open mind with regards to delivery but i just wanted to have it straight in our minds as i am measuring just over 34 weeks when i am only 32 today

So sorry you are feeling rubbish again :( have you tried those alpro deserts they are dairy free and taste like either chocolate or custard i think? They are very nice:D this is my favourite http://www.alprosoya.co.uk/index.php?id=38&tx_macalproproducts_pi1[product]=273:p

Your notes are very differnt to mine - mine have little dividers in with booking info in front, babys growth graph (fundal height), antenatal notes (which both cwm and hosp complete) in patient records, an anethestist report section, medines administerd list (with my anti d on) a section for in patient labour notes and then test results / scan slips in the back. can you put an a5 card in the front or do you have medical alert notices which you cant cover up:confused:. You could always stick a copy in your labour bag HTH

Right i better get up:o thanks for all the help

HUGE LABOUR VIBES TO THOSE IN NEED TODAY:D
  • i am going to have a lazy day today after my shopping trip yesterday.
I feel a bit rough today actually. I dropped ds off at school and went straight into town after without eatting breakfast or even having a drink so it is prob my own fault. i needed to go to the bank but it didn't open untill 9.30 so i had to mill around for 30 mins and i knew i should have stayed put as i got to the bank at about 9.35 and it was packed. I was 10th in the queue, needed the toilet, felt faint as it was really warm in there and there was someone in there that really stunk! it must have been BO but it was a really strong Onion, sweaty smell _pale_ I thought i am going to either be sick, faint, wee myself or all 3. Thankfully i didn't and it was such a relief to get out into the fresh air.

    Good morning everyone....Happy Friday!

Never got a chance to log on last night..was too busy on phone telling everyone that we are TEAM PINK!!

Still cant quite believe it!! After two boys I had convinced myself we were on our way to a football team lol, so was a lovely surprise... Doctor said he is 95% certain we are having a girl.. so thats good enough for us! (Im sure they have to say that as cant guarantee 100%..) She is developing well and all was fine so we are over the moon and cant wait to bring some girlieness into the house :D

How is everyone today? Labour vibes to GISI, Boo, Charlidavis and fattybooboo... hope your wait is nearly over xxx

p.s. We are with virgin media too... we get phone, broadband and xl package for £36 per month (I threatened to leave them last year for sky and this is the deal they gave us) We are quite happy with the channels, especially kids stuff. DH would like sky sports and movies, and I think you get the v+ box free if you take them, but its still "under discussion" lol.

appropriate vibes to all in need/who want them xxxx

thats fab news lilac , have uodated most recent edd list for you , i had 2 boys then a girl , its great all the pretty things you can buy now ,
Dont forget that little Thanks button , only takes a sec

Wow they really are different aint they
In the front it is where it says everything about the spd and the polyhydramiosis so im guessing it wouldnt be a good idea to cover those up :rotfl: though it does say it again throughout my notes everywhere :rotfl:
I have just written out what is in there normally i have had loads of extras stuck in mine from hospital visits/stays etc there is an extra 29 pages just of those

Ooh that just reminded me i need to ring back today and find out the results of the other tests they did hopefully all will be ok and i wont have to go back again :o

Im guessing i could put it in the labour notes page they have got to look there while im in labour right?:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I know if i put it in my labour bag then i will just forget that its there :o:rotfl:

Hoping i get some more bids on my ebay stuff today :o It all ends tomorrow night and some of the baby and maternity clothes dont even have any watchers let alone any bids :( I did find a load more maternity clothes in a box yesterday too which dont fit me so i now need to list them aswell

oh well at least if i dont get the girls bedroom done today then i can put them on ebay and at least do something constructive i guess :o
