I found this site afterwards though that seems good and the kit comes with 9 rolls so you'd get a couple of casts from it. I wouldnt have wanted to use more than 4 rolls max as it started to feel heavy and weird on my bump with the 3
Mines not got the definition around the boobs like some casts but I think I prefer it, dont really want my dad looking at a real representation of my chest

aless OH's painting it, probably with monkeys as bumps always been the belly monkey or maybe with more dr seuss pics so it can stay in the nursery.

Thanks for that! I'll look when i get home, im going to do 2 i think. One now and one before the baby is due so i can see how much bigger i get hehe.
Also i've seen ones that have nipple detail, and im sure my parents dont want to see my boobs and nipples in such detail :p0 -
Cool bump casts!!!! :TOpinions are like ar*eholes - everybody has one!!!!0

Bump cast is lovely! I agree about the not too much detail on the boobs bit thgouh! those can look a bit much sometimes!
Well you ladies just inspired me to start xmas shopping! Just spent £101 on Boots site, got free delivery, a code for 1000 extra points (although annoyed I didn't do it yesterday with the extra points thing) and saved £25 with discounts etc and also got a free No. 7 gift set which will do as part of MIL's pressie!!
I'm about half done now! Yippee!0 -
The bump cast is great! I didn't bother doing my boobs on mine though as they were sore and I didn't fancy pulling it off of them, or the faff of having it on. Anyway, so I just ended up with the tummy and it still looked cool. I think your right about how many layers, I did 4 and that was def plenty, could of got away with 3 I think.
I have made lot's of masks from modroc (plaster bandages) before so it was much better doing my belly as it wasn't so claustrophobic lol!0 -
I really need to go through my pressie stash and make up everyones hampers. It was one of the things I intended doing early on my ML but just havent got around to it
I used to be into bootsing in a big way, knew all the glitches etc and could leave with bags full for pence but Ive tried to go cold turkey since my BFP. I'll end up just throwing it all in gift bags on xmas eve ignoring all the pretty cellophane and bows which I normally spend hours making look pretty :rotfl:
Also it was one friends 30th last week and Ive got another next week and still havent made their hampers up either!
My soon to be MIL suggested a few weeks ago that as xmas is getting so expensive we should all do hand made pressies for the adults and only buy for the kids. Normally Id love this suggestion as I like crafting but not sure how she thinks I'll find the time to make 8 half decent presents, nevermind the fact they were getting toiletries because the cupboards are full of boots things
*sorry, went off on a little rant there*
Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
OMG!! I'm 20th on the list! Soooooo excited!
Still got 3 weeks left at work tho :-( Wish i'd said i'd finish a week earlier now but i have to give 4 weeks notice if i wanna change the date so its too late. I think thats stupid cos i didn't know 2 or 3 weeks ago how i'd feel now, nevermind in a couple of weeks.
Oh well, its not like there's any reason i need to finish earlier - i'm still feeling fine & all i do is sit down all day! Im just tired & bored of it now. I sit there daydreaming of all the nesting i could be doing if i was at home! (but then i get a day off - like today - & i'm too lazy to do anything!)
Anyway, hope you're all well ladies.
Labour vibes to anyone needing them. And congrats to any newbies!

P.S. Still hoping little girl's gonna come early. Or on time at least. Want her here before christmas! She seems very comfy where she is at the moment tho!

I've been like this all the way through ML! I have to give myself one thing to do a day or I'd do nothing useful!
Boogellyboo- I count hampers as home-made gifts. I had such good intentions of getting everything wrapped and ready- the furthest I've got is sorting through my stash and post-it noting things with people's names. I have got most of the stuff though, just need to organise it all. I'm also planning to do some 'baked' gifts- probably biscotti and gingerbread and of course people will be getting baby pics as well!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0 -

My family have decided not to do presents for the adults this christmas - just the kids. It kind of makes sense but it doesn't work cos me and my sisters will still buy stuff for the parents cos they buy for our children, and i know people will still buy me gifts because we're not even sure if our little one will be here by christmas, & she doesn't need anything anyway! so that means i have to be prepared & have gifts for everyone anyway. plus i actually like buying for my family for christmas & find it really hard not to if i have good ideas for people (which i do this year!) and not just my nieces.
PLUS (nearing end of rant - promise!), i was only told about this plan by my mum a couple of weeks ago & i'd already bought some bits and bobs for people.:j Very proud mummy to Evie Mae born 26/12/09 :jAims for 2010 - be a good mummy, lose (some) weight, clear (some) debts, be happy0 -
