  • EA- that sucks!

We've been invited to go and see a teeny baby tomorrow- born on Monday, 9 days late. Not sure if that will cheer me up or make me feel worse but at least I'll get cuddles!

Feeling really icky at the moment- hopefully that is a good sign. Managed quite a bit of walking today so hoping that will move baby down.

  • Aless - supernanny was where i got the idea of how to get rid of DS's dummies. However instead of telling him to put his dummies in a bag and hang it on a tree i was going to get DS to put his dummies in his stocking for santa on christmas eve (may put them in a sealable bag within the stocking so he doesn't take them out of his stocking) and then santa would exchange his dummies for stocking fillers. Am really hoping this will work and me taking away DS's dummies don't ruin his christmas.

Was also thinking of making a cardboard star and getting DS to help me decorate it as a representation of the baby. It will proabably all go over his head as he is only 18 m/o and doesn't really understand what a baby is- but it will be a nice thing for us to do together regardless.

  • Ooh GISI maybe holding the newborn tomorrow will bring your baby on, another girl from work who recently had their baby said she held a newborn the day before she went into labour, so fingers crossed!! Hope that your icky feeling is a good sign too. This must be the only time we ever kinda see feeling dodgy or pains as a possible good sign haha!! Well done on ur walking, I have done a bit of walking too today so lets hope it does help :) I cant wait to log on here and see that u have gone into labour :)

  • Great idea for the dummy Mrs Ihenetu my ds never had one so i didn't have the problem of getting it off him. We did try him with one but he never wanted it. Our friends little girl had one right up until she was 4 and we all went out for the day to a local farm that takes dummies, bottles any comforter really for their baby pigs. They get hung up on the wall where the pigs are kept and the child gets a certificate and badge saying they were brave to give it up and thoughtful for giving it to the baby pigs. It worked a treat.
    This is my signature!
  • Ooh I like that idea about the pigs elasti, how cute!! xx

  • Ooh it's quiet on here tonight. Is everyone busy having tea?

Yay, I get to pick gorgeous baby stuff for a gift tomorrow. My favourite kind of shopping. I'll also pick up a little something for the baby's 2 year old sister but no idea what yet!

I've had mine gisi, just can't be bothered to load up the laptop and my iPod takes a while to reload the page lol.

Baby kicks are getting stronger :) OH felt them last night when she started going Kicking crazy hehe

Maybe you could get her something that shows she an older sister? Like an 'big sister' top or something :)
  • Yup I was having tea, sausages, egg and chips, nom!! Since had rich tea biscuits though, no need!! I cannot seem to stop eating!! (I am not even gonna try and put that down to a due to give birth symptom, hehe!!)

Baby has been quite active today which is nice and reassuring but goes against the thought that labour may be soon a bit!!

  • Yeah it's really quiet tonight! I've been watching tv with DH since I got in from work. Now he's making tea :rotfl: Sausage and mash so shouldn't be too hard but he struggles sometimes so we'll see. I have to stay away though as it makes me angry when he does things sometimes as it seems he makes everything so difficult and doens't have much common sense. I shouldn't complain though as he is making the effort today!

I'm watching Home Birth Diaries too. The more I watch this show the more scared I get though.
