Evening all, still catching up, got 4 more pages to get through so doubt I'll do it tonight!

Good luck for tomorrow Jolene and Redstar! Hope all goes very well and quickly.

Bexta - I don't know about having another after this. OH already has 2 DDs and he's 41 now, I'm 34 and it took us 2 years and 2 miscarriages to get to this stage so I really don't know how I'd feel about trying for another. At least I don't have to make that decision now anyway!

I've had irrational bad moods this past few days - if I wasn't pregnant I'd assume pmt so it must be the pregnancy hormones!

    evening all

congrats to kelnik and glad the scan went well courgette and someone else is going to be team yellow!

good luck for tomorrow jolene & redstar

I've had a frustrating evening. We were just about to set off to Ikea to buy a double bed for the spare room, then I had a weird memory that their beds weren't a standard size. Checked online and as I was right we decided not to get a bed from there. So cue DH being grumpy because I only thought about it at the last minute, then lots of measuring of the room. In the end we have ordered a single bed for the spare room as it gives us loads more wall space for all the other furniture (which is mainly bookcases) and means we should be able to move all the bookcases out of bubs' room (I would love to just have it as the baby's room, have a lovely small sofa I've had for years to go in there which is perfect for feeding).

Don't think my mum will be very impressed (she's already said so on facebook) as my stepdad will have to sleep on the camping mat (which is v comfy) when they come...but as they've only spent 2 nights here in 2 years I'm inclined to agree with DH that we should think about what works for us as a regular thing rather than them occasionally! ILs also live round the corner and have spare rooms!!

Sorry that's incredibly dull and just a braindump!!

Hopefully we will start moving things tomorrow eve...I just want it done now!!

Good luck for tomorrow Jolene and Redstar.

    Congrats Kelinik

Welcome to all the graduates of 12 week thread.

Gena I was in a terrible mood yesterday, ranged from angry to feeling sorry for myself within seconds. Also had swollen ankles and fast outgrowing my clothes. Never realised pregnancy so was so hard! And I soooo miss my vodka.

Okay, I'm having the baby 27th April. They were all booked up, so we didn't get to choose the c-section date, but there we are. I'm kind of glad I didn't get to choose and thus maybe muck up some cosmic order :p.
All in all not too much of a queue jump, as I'll be 39 weeks on the day.

  • Well done Kelinik, glad you got birth you wanted.

Congrats on scan courgette, glad the flavour wasn't obvious.

Gena and hassle re moods I have been in a snappy mood with DH says he wants his wife back!! Also was nearly in tears this morn when a work colleague (male) asked to help me out!

Re moving rooms Rach I think we are keeping are IKEA double bed in bubs room for mo as we can squeeze in a cot, draws and storage. Just have to move my wardrobe into our room and put some stuff into the loft (when we get a step ladder), hope to do that weekend after next. Mainly because of my family live 200 miles away and if we took bed down we had no where to put it anyway!

Was looking at NHS website and took me to Tommy's website which has free books to get, I got this 96 page one.

Right off to my bed soon night all xx

my family are far away too and I'm worried I've done the wrong thing, egged on by DH, as I am sure they will come more when bubs is born. Our problem is that despite having 3 double sized bedrooms, 2 (spare and study...soon to be baby's room) are v narrow. Also we have 12 bookcases of varying sizes so v short of wall space!!!

Rach - I am also in agreement with your dh...do what works for you, not 'possible' visitors.

Agutka - Glad you have got your date for baby arriving, you can start getting prepared;)

Good luck to Jolene and Redstar for tomorrow:D
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.

I think I'll have my baby around that time so hopefully I'll still get in first :p

I feel a bit sad that everyone due around the same time as me is booked in for a c section so I won't have anyone to whinge with while we're waiting :(

Gillby hasn't been on for a few days - wonder whether she's been booked in for a section.

And I don't know if they'll be on again in time to see this but Good Luck again for Redstar and Jolene

Yeah, but you have to do all the labouring and that takes ages, me I'll be in and out in a couple of hours :p:p
