all edited, pigpen you should go on the list if you're ahead of me, it'll be a bit more space between me and the top, lol

Mine are always 5-6+ weeks early and I'd hate to upset peeps by queue jumping so I'm not going on!

    Hi all

What a lot of babies! congratulations KennyJosiah, Lilacbelle, Nikabella and Maureen!

I am pooped, currently sitting in bed with laptop, have already had an hour's sleep this evening. I've found today really tough and am thinking of ringing in sick tomorrow as I just don't think I can manage it. Tomorrow consists of a bit of work from home, then a 2.5 mile walk, a meeting then lunch and then another meeting. I'm out of the office all day which I'm not sure is better or worse! Add to that 1.5 hours each way travel. But I feel bad taking time off, feel like everyone will think I just want an extra long weekend! Also if the train strike does happen next week my trains won't be running which will mean 2 buses to get to the dlr instead - even longer than usual!!

Sorry for moaning, I know it could be much worse. Just a bit fed up. Actually ended up in tears this morning thinking how much I couldn't face travelling!

Rach hun.. don't go if it is too much.. The tiredness does improve.. in e few weeks but your boss will just have to understand you are unable to do the travelling at the moment.. a few days rest will do you the world of good!

I already have a list of what needs to be stuffed in hospital bags.. not that I am actually booked in anywhere!! lol.. I do mine at 26/28 weeksish normally so I can double and triple check I have everything in and buy any extras I might need.

Thanks. I will see how I feel in the morning but am erring towards not going in. Boss is fine and if I'm sick I'm sick. Problem is I guess that the travel is my lookout in a way as I choose to live here and work there (well not exactly choose but travel isn't part of the job as it were). I will talk to boss next week about working from home one day a week i think.

Ooooh getting close Kelinik....hope you ladies that are rapidly moving up the list have your bags packed!!! Sorry to sound like 'MUM' lol, just i packed mine fully the other week and it's sitting in the hall ready with my TENS and all on top...i feel so much more calmer knowing it's done ;) Remember even just 37wks is classed full term and it could be any day ;):D If anyone wants my list for an idea i can copy it on here, just bare in mind mine are packed to stay in 3/4 days incase of another C-Section.

Well i had the worst nights sleep last night:

    1) DD's cough is so bad she was being sick quite alot through the night - to make it worse she was in our room in bubs cot so i could keep an eye on her - had to change the sheets and wash her down 4 times bless her - will have to now disinfect the whole cot before bubs arrives, thank god it's not viral, just a bad cough causing it.

    2) Dog went loopy for some reason (may have been a distant storm, had to lock her in the shower cubical with some blankets so she felt a little confined and probably safer as she soon went to sleep.

    3) Pulled my tummy muscles/ligaments so many times in the night that i woke up in agony and couldn't move :(

    4) Hubby decided to snore at a record loud sound that i kept waking to thump him, lol - and he kept thumping ME (accidently, but still) Lol!

So today i am grouchy but a tiny bit cheered up at the sun. Off to doctors for DD (so glad i didn't get stuck in hosp yesterday as after last night she REALLY needs this appointment), then do a few errands and pay some bills then off to hosp later for second injection - i still have a sore bum from yesterdays one  and injections don't usually bother me...but OUCH!!!:D

All this and i'm supposed to be on bed rest....oooops :o:rotfl:

Hope you are all well today! x Labour vibes and cheer up vibes and some stay put vibes to whoever would like them ;) x

    morning all

hope dr can help your DD ellie, sounds nasty. My DH also said i was snoring but i think it was the other way around!I have just phoned in sick. feel a bit of a fraud as I'm not really poorly but just couldn't manage to go in today. Boss was really nice, I said I'd been dizzy etc so he said def don't come in! Feel like I will enjoy the long weekend a bit more after a good rest today.

So today's plan is to do very little. There's a woman on netmums locally who has a mothercare jungle moses basket and stand for £12 which I may go and look at.

  • Sounds like a bargain Rach - deffo take a peek!

Don't worry too much about not going in...i was the same - i'm guessing you are in the really knackered stage where everything feels a chore - chill out and relax!!! I promise it does get better, maybe not at the same stage for everyone but i have yet to meet anyone who doesn't feel at least a bit better at some point - i'll send some feel better vibes your way! x ;)
