oooh I'm 16th on the list! How did that happen???

After spending the best part of the pregnancy hating being pregnant and desperate to have baby I seem to have reversed! I'm now actually quite enjoying being pregnant, I love my bump and I'm getting very nervous about baby coming! I'm guessing it's maybe natural as the reality of baby coming gets nearer tho.

Waiting for DH to finish watching stupif F1 so I can go down and have some lunch and watch tv....tempted to tell him who won lol

smartie- i know exactly how you feel, where we live it seems to have phases where we got royally !!!!ed off. i.e a couple of weeks ago our car was parked on the street and at 3am a drunk driver smashed into it. (car still sitting there due to crummy insurance company!). my husband who is self- employed had his wing mirror stolen from his van. yup not broken, actually unclipped out! however we do have some lovely neighbours and just try to forget about the rest of the neds. do want to move before baby goes to nursery though so have to get saving!

had 19 week scan on friday and everything ok. made me feel so much better as had been getting lots of cramps etc from about 13 weeks, turns out baby is quite low which probably causing pain but nothing to worry about. did make it feel a lot more real though! need to start buying stuff as have nothing apart from a travel set thing which we got free from some friends it is at my parents but is pram, pushchair, car seat etc.

Thanks all - you've answered my question pretty comprehensively! Dry pailing it is.

Rach - am definitely plannig to use reusable wipes. Was actually thinking of buying them on ebay coz i'm a nervous first time mum and didn't know what material is safe to use, but perhaps that's a bit silly after reading Fernliebee's post!

    Thanks goodness for you lot.

smartie - poor you, what a nightmare. Our car got vandalised twice when we first moved here, we live on the corner of a main road and think it was drunk people going home from the pub /off the night bus to the estate up the road. We now park it at the in laws which is 5 mins walk away, rarely use it anyway as both public transport to work and have travelcards. I hope you get some help from the police.

don't feel silly, I was also going to buy them until pigpen said a while ago about making your own.

I facebooked one of my best friends (each others bridesmaids) this morning as I remembered she had reusable nappies- she said she has a stash of totsbots in the loft I can have :j:j:j Yay. They are about 4 years old but that doesn't matter a bit!

Another thing at least half ticked off the list!

After talking to mum and DH and measuring up I'm leaving the 2nd hand mountain buggy this time. Think we need to spend more time looking at different ones and working out what fits our lifestyle. I feel a bit obsessive (it's my personality!) but hey, i'm allowed!

    Helloooo :j

Just graduated from the 12 week thread as went for scan on weds and got my due date moved to 2nd oct. Very chuffed with that!

Rach, was reading about your spreadsheet idea on 12 week thread. What a good idea- will start one off. Does anyone know where I can get a list of essentials needed?

    Welcome Red.

Im sure one of the lovely ladies will add you to the EDD list very soon ( i would but that list scares me LOL!)....

I cant believe there are October babies coming along now.... its kinda scary....

As for the list, when you google, you'll probs get 101 of them come up, what they say is essential on one doesnt appear on another, so I always found using one as a base and then asking on here if people would recommend certain things, plus you need to think about what works for you.... for example some people may really want a moses basket for first few weeks, others will use the carrycot part on pram in place of this...
And some things are fine if you can get them for free but probs not worth spending money on. For example we got given a moses basket but I wasnt bothered about having one if i was gonna have to pay LOL

And of course we all recommend signing up to lots of baby clubs and scoring some freebies/vouchers. HTH.....

Any feeling toward what sex baby is? :)

I've done hardly anything all day apart from a few cups washed up, laundry put on and throwing a plastic flower pot round for the fat pug (he loves it!).... might watch my lovefilm rental later and then walk them round the post box this evening.
Got some left over pizza to have later as well, nom nom nom

Thanks for the warm welcome. :) Hehe! It must be scary! Only seems like yesterday since I got my BFP, however if I you had asked how things were progressing 4 weeks ago I'd have said very sloooooow. Funny how things all of a sudden speed up!

I'll definatly 'do a google' and come up with some sort of list. I guess actually asking mothers is the best way to go as I can imagine there is a danger of over buying stuff that you won't end up using. I've got my eye on a pram that converts into a moses basket but its very expensive, so might look around. If money was no object! :o

Feeling is a boy. Had someone comment on scan picture that its a boy & apparantly she's never been wrong (50% chance though....). What about you? Or have you already found out?

So excited to be here! :rotfl:

    Awww thats really sweet.

Yeah boy here, to be fair I "knew" it was a boy before any scans etc, and they just confirmed it.
Sonographers seemed to think I was really disappointed it wasnt a girl, till I said no I just knew it was a boy so you've not told me anything I didnt already know....

I feel like mine has been going really slow, but i think thats a lot down to not working at the moment...
But im hoping things pick up speed now toward the end.... its so weird thinking ive got like 11 weeks to go, in one instant it seems like ages, and then im like ARGH!
