Have added you to the list Red Rose, Congratulations. :j
Apparantly some ppl reckon they can tell the sex from the 12 w scan pics, (something to do with which angle the 'nub' is pointing???)
I'm sure there was someone else earlier who popped in to introduce themselves but didn't give an edd (can't find them now and pg brain does not give me enough patience to keep looking:D)- welcome
Glad scan was all good elainec, did you find out the sex,or are you team yellow?Busy mummy of 4.:j0 -
my_gorgeous_ellie-belle wrote: »Ooooo i have a Video monitor - quite expensive though. It was one of my pleasure or treat buys if you like as i wanted it but knew i didn't need it. I got a Lindam Clarity on ebay new for £50 - but i must say after playing around with it, i love it and it's worth every penny (though i wouldn't have paid boots.com price for it). It's so fun, lol we have used it to spy on DD when she is playing in her room and chatting to her dolls. I did also pay £50 for my Mamatens MyTime (brand new) lol but i fell for the extra high boost levels - plus they can both be resold on Ebay for the prices i paid or i have seen them go for more
so it's more like a loan, lol!
CAFC - I'm glad to hear you went to m&s in the end, as soon as i started reading you had probs with the M/care assistant i wanted to suggest M&S. I used to work in M/care and to be honset the training for bra fitting (in our store, i'm not sure about others though) we were just given a card and told to read it - only a few of the staff even got that and litterally only one or two members of staff could properly measure so we'd all find them to do it as the rest of us hadn't had decent training. M&S ladies were lovely to me too though - much nicer bras too! The best thing is to find a good website that has a guide and calculator and measure yourself. And ALWAYS measure above the boobs too for a completely accurate sizing - without that third measurement apparently i'm a 32a - i'm not, i'm a 30DD (which is true when using 3 calculations) and it's laughable to look at me and say i'm an A cup anyway.
Does anyone know how to do this with 3 measurements? have been looking for website but no joy!0 -
Sorry long post, just catching up!
Thanks Redstararnie, Sounds like you had a bargain with Ebay, I am constantly looking for bargains now! Kinda interested in one of those Grobagegg temp things, I know not essential but the heating is always really high or low in our house so I am hoping we can monitor the temperature, and it doubles up as a nightlight, so am keeping my eye out for one on ebay!!
Thanks Freebie, I will defo pick up the sainsburys freebie, can’t believe how short the date is; I only have had the voucher 2 weeks and it runs out Wednesday!!! But I will try get one Tuesday, I live in the sticks so my nearest Sainsburys is 30 miles away!
MLSL: Can I take you shopping with me?!?! You seem to pick up such bargains! Starting hitting the car boots after Easter J
My-gorgeous-ellie; Thanks for the advise re: vertbaudet, I will look out for codes, they d have some beautiful outfits!
Barkingsavingmad; Thanks for mentioning Freecycle, I do check this out daily but to be honest the area I live in seems to have more wanted items rather than offered items, not had any luck so far but I will keep trying!
Rach; I love your organised list of things you need! It has motivated me to do the same myself, I have listed my items, set a budget and actual paid. I hope you don’t mind! I love making spreadsheets, my OH thinks I am nuts!
Congrats Rose tinted! Love the name Sophie!0 -

Not so much physical stuff in the house etc, but more preparation of myself LOL emotionally and physically, I still dont feel like its sunk in that I'm going to be someone's mum.... its so completely life altering, its hard to take in
I think once I start on the RLT and EPO it'll seem much more real...
Got plenty of things I'd like to get done, like paint the kitchen, new wardrobes for bedroom etc, nesting stuff LOL :rotfl:Wealth is not measured by currency0 -
hello
just picked up a cot today for FREE !!! someone on netmums was giving it away and its a babies r us one and will do the job, I declined the mattress as will get a new one. She even offered for her husband to come and put it together if we struggle!! (not tried yet but sure will be fine) - My sister had offered us her mamas and papas one which is much nicer admittley but they live 200miles away and have offered us loads and need to fit as much as poss in boot when we next go to visit plus if she has another baby we will need to give it back and all becomes a hassle so saves any passing back and forth 200miles apart.
Been watching swinging/rocking cribs on ebay some excellent bargains some ending this eve still at 99p-£5 just well out of my area and collection only, will keep looking and check out some boot sales too.
Also bidding on a tommee tippee montior with sensor mat these are £50 new so have set limit of £20 inc postage for second hand.
probably being far too organised as not due til 2nd sept but gotta get the bargains as they arise.
Got my physio app tommorow, then seeing consultant on thurs to discuss c-section and also having my downs syndrome blood test whilst there as rubbish midwife couldnt get blood - I personally wouldnt have bothered with the test but husband says this is one thing that freaks him out so would I have so to reassure him will have it done.0 -
redrose - we have the same EDD!
For some reason from the less than 12 weeks thread I thought you were a few days after me.
kitkat - don't mind at all! In some ways it's probably ott but i manage projects at work and it's how i'd do things there! Plus DH likes to know potential budgets (he's the money man!) After 2 friends have said they are going to come up with lists of what they have to offer us I am not going to buy anything else til we see those, don't want to buy stuff we could have for free!Mum to gorgeous baby boy born Sept 2010:j0 -
