P.S Does anyone know if boots are still doing 10 points per £1 when you spend over £20 on baby stuff?

lol CAFC - I'm exactly the same. That's part of what's annoying me I think, I could easily wear my normal jeans if it wasn't for this bump!! And when I'm curled on the sofa I forget it's there coz I can't see it, then get up and remember!!

That's not the best thing to say - people are so rude!! We're pregnant, so anything is fine lol
  • Hello
I thought I'd share my scan pic from 12 weeks (now that I have been shown how to do it).

Has anyone had problems with their legs? Mine have been keeping me awake and bothering me for the last 3 days I think it's that restless leg syndrome I feel like I want to have them stretched or something it's like I've been cramped up in a box. I've tried walking around but as soon as I stop they start aching again- anyone tried anything that works?

Aargh! Nearly burnt the house down last night. Had some pork to cook before it went off, so I left it simmering in stock. Took a grapefruit and relaxed on the sofa. Woke up two hours later, but passed out again. Another hour later woke needing the loo. When I sat up I thought it was strange how the house smelled so strongly with the roast we had earlier. Thankfully I needed a glass of water, cos I was ready to go sleep in bed, and I only realised my stupidity when I saw the hob was on. With nicely dry blackened pork pieces. And stupid dog sleeping beside it .

Pregnancy brain strikes again, not the first time, not the last. Be careful out there ladies :o

Budget - I'd get a really good leg massage done. Ive not had restless legs, but I get a lot of tension in my muscles in my calves. So much so that when I had them massage, the guy said my muscles feel like a bead necklace, whereas most peoples feel like rope with the odd knot in it....

That and maybe try having them raised above your heart for 10-15 minutes a day....

    BudgetBlonde - lovely pic!
Agutka - rip pork. I'm pleased I'm not the only one suffering from pregnancy brain, though I have to admit that I bore even myself in conversations - every sentence, I forget names and places...
;) Working hard in the hopes of being 'lucky' ;)

I nearly burnt the house down too! I store our crisps in a cardboard box on top of the kitchen cupboards (kids would eat every pack in a day otherwise) and I got the box down, let the kids pick some and then took a packet myself, while I was eating them I started to smell burning but thought it was outside! finished the crisps and went into the kitchen throw my packet away...only to discover I had put the box on top of the electric hob, and somehow, inadvertantly turned on a ring....the box was on the verge of bursting into flames:eek:

I also have very bad baby brain and am forgetting everything, which is not good atm as there are sooo many doc/hosp appts and school trips/activities going on, as well as after school activities....My poor brain is struggling:o
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,

Ask for a deep tissue massage - thats what i get. otherwise they just do long strokes, and its a bit superficial - great for relaxation but doesnt really get the tension out.... it sometimes hurts a bit but its a good kinda pain, like a big release when they find big pockets of tension....

I've taught DH how to do it now, and he loves getting his hands really in there, he hates doing softly softly massage.... i think he thinks its a bit girlie LOL

Im off to sainsburys in a mo for some munchies, fancy cake LOL Gonna check my bank balance too see if my hipg money has gone in....

re: massage. mention to OH that if they do it, it will save £20-30 and they might give it a go! ;)

I wish I could have a massage but I've got to be careful now I've been diagnosed (at 29 weeks! why do they wait so long to test? and I've only been actually weighed once) with gestational diabetes. Joy. Well that explains why baby is big eh.

Anyone got any specific things to recommend to eat? I really don't like dried beans/pulses - can just about stomach a spoonful of tinned lentils in spag bol, though I guess that's off the menu now too? :undecided

oh & can whoever updates the EDD list please put a :male: next to my name, ta! :)
