Ive actually found a list of questions I'd written down to post up on here!

1: Perinneal Massage - What is it, does it work, when should you start?
No idea, I'm lucky if I can wipe properly :rotfl:let alone massage. Helps with stretching in labour, without any problems. You can do it whenever, but not wherever :p. I believe some peeps get OH to do it. As for where - it's the bit between your foof and your bum - I think the mw can actually hold it while the baby is coming out to stop tearing.
2: Raspberry Leaf tea, EPO and Arnica - There was a load of talk about them about 20 pages back but im so rubbish at the search function. Pretty much the same questions as No 1.
An excellent question. Last time I asked Xmas was helpful, but I havent's got round to digesting the info yet.
3: Nappies - I've got 54 newborn nappies in a box set with disposable change mats, and wipes from Boots, Huggies or Pampers cant remember which, cost circa £6 (mum bought them for me on my birthday LOL) so on the basis of having normal size baby should I now just start buying size 2's?
Never too early for size 2. With my diabetes I don't know what I'm giving birth to, so only have one small packet of tesco newborn - OH knows where the supermarkets are after all.
4: Need to start buying all the boring stuff now. What do I need in changing bag? I've got the actual bag so thats progress.....
Change of baby clothes, milk, chocolate (of course), nappies, wipes, whatever you are using at home. Some people can leave the house with a purse, I needed the house contents. Nothing to be buying specially I don't think. Changing mat you have... dummies...
5: What will I need for mine and baby's hospital bag. Ive got some bits already but just want to print out a definitive list?
Lol, the ultimate question. The answer is far removed to the answer to the what will I actually need on the day question. Just google it, the lists are all the same. Nappies, cotton wool, baby clothes (vest, baby grow, hat, mittens, jacket, blanket) olive oil (in case baby is dry-skinned) but that can wait. Vaseline for bum before it gets caked in meconium. Nail clippers (sometimes they come out sharp!). For yourself... jim jams, dressing gown, spare bottoms, comfy undies, lots of pads, any normal overnight bag, slippers. Snacks. Spare change.
6: Feeding - This is where I get really confused.
I would like to express breast feed. Ive got a TT breast pump, how many bottles would you recommend? Teats same thing really? I've got a bottle warmer and a cold/microwave steriliser, what solution/tablets do I need?
I had 6 bottles with teats, because I fed him every 3-4 hours and could only be bothered to clean once a day. Don't bother with the small bottles, as they don't use them for long. Milton? I hated the smell personally, still don't understand how you can give baby bleach to drink (not true of course, just the smell of it).
I think thats about it for now.....

    opps no
7: Cot & moses basket sheets - how many do you recommend I get?
Depends how the baby is feeling. You can live with two or you might need 10 in one night because of some tummy problem. I protected the moses sheets by making monkey keep his head on a muslin for dribbles. Still had 6 though. Just in case.
8: Muslin squares - same thing really....
I only had 30 , but I loved them and used them a lot, for everything. That's a lot of ironing though...

Shall I shut up now?? :o

I saved this last time xmas posted it

Calcium in weeks before labour (started at 32 weeks) 1,000mg
Calcium at onset of labour 2,000 mg

    EPO 1-2 500mg from week 34 to week 37
    3-4 500mg during week 38
Insert 1 capsule each night from week 38

RLT 1 cup from Week 32 to Week 33
    2 cups Week 34 to Week 35
    3 cups in Week 36
    4 cups in week 37 and 38
TOTAL = 6 boxes of 20 tea bags

Arnica Cream For application after birth decided on arnica tablets instead see doses below
    Arnica Tabs 30c 2 tablets 3 times a day – 3 days before
At onset of labour 30c 2 tablets every 2 hours – up to 6 doses
    After labour 30c 2 tablets 3 times a day – 5 days after

Midwife went fine, she said measurements were spot on altho she hasn't plotted anything on my graph. Heartbeat was fine too. I don't need to go back for 3 weeks which is a bit of a bummer coz I hoped I'd go back in 2 weeks and get out of my last day

Ive actually found a list of questions I'd written down to post up on here!

1: Perinneal Massage - What is it, does it work, when should you start?
Massaging the area between Vagina and bottom, this is where the risk of tearing is when delivering baby...I have never done it so can't comment if it actually works....I think the earlier it is started the better and using some kind of lube/lotion to help moisturise area.

2: Raspberry Leaf tea, EPO and Arnica - There was a load of talk about them about 20 pages back but im so rubbish at the search function. Pretty much the same questions as No 1.
I didn't take anything like this sorry can't help.

Yeah buy a pack or two of size 2's, even if you need more newborns before moving onto the size 2's they won't go to waste as baby will be in them at some point.

4: Need to start buying all the boring stuff now. What do I need in changing bag? I've got the actual bag so thats progress.....
Do you mean the bag you would take with you when going out with baby? If so, then all i put in mine is a pack of wipes, about 5/6 nappies, couple of nappy bags, pot of sudocrem and then just shove in appropriate number of bibs/juice cup/snacks/bottles that I would need on that particular trip out

5: What will I need for mine and baby's hospital bag. Ive got some bits already but just want to print out a definitive list?

6: Feeding - This is where I get really confused.
I would like to express breast feed. Ive got a TT breast pump, how many bottles would you recommend? Teats same thing really? I've got a bottle warmer and a cold/microwave steriliser, what solution/tablets do I need?
Again can't help as I formula fed all mine.

I think thats about it for now.....

    opps no
7: Cot & moses basket sheets - how many do you recommend I get?
8: Muslin squares - same thing really....
Cot sheets I only ever bought 4 as they are usually washed pretty quickly after being changed...I did get muslim squares but they never got used as I just used bibs!

Sorry couldn't help with more questions but I am a let things happen kinda gal and never bothered with taking/preparing for labour all that much!!
Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot,
Nothing is going to get better. It's not.
