Do you need a separate exemption card for the dentists???
No it's the same one.boogelly - did you have trouble finding an NHS dentist because they're scarce in your area, or did NHS dentists not want to take you b/c you were getting it completely free? Just curious...it's apparently quite easy to find an NHS dentist in our area (fingers crossed) but I've been really lazy and haven't bothered registering, but am nervous they might 'reject' me b/c I get it free. All I need really is a good clean though! Ta.
I would say don't tell them!! They don't need to know until you turn up at the appointment.0 -

SJ- I hadn't thought about the fact that every day is getting more likely. Thank you for that....I'm still hopeful for 11/11 as a birth date (sorry to steal your due date, Fattybooboo but Karen stole mine so it's only fair).
Lol no worries GISI, alls fair in love and... giving birth, lol!! How r u feeling now? I feel a lot better since I got out the house and did the dog walk. My work friend rang whilst I was out, the one who had her baby on Saturday, she sounds so happy!! I am hoping some baaby vibes passed down the phone to me

Labour vibes directed where needed..sounds like somethings starting! :j
I hope nobody minds me still posting here still, I haven't dare make the move to parent thread yet, which is very strange seeing as I've been a mummy for nearly 12 years already!
Ethan will be 1 week old already,at 9.20pm tonight and I don't know where the time has gone!!! He had his heel !!!!! test done on Sunday, was an angel, didn't cry atall. He was weighed and only lost 7oz from his birth weight so I guess my boobie juice is good stuffWe had the best night so far with him last night..settled him around 8ish, he woke for feed at 11 then slept untill 3am, had another feed then went untill 8.30am! I feel slightly human today :j
love my little man he is amazing :j0 -
What does your baby's kicks/movement feel like to you?
To me her kicks feel like giant muscle twitches
At the moment she seems to be just moving about as the twitches feel really long and dragged out lol.
Ah i cant see them pics helen, i'll have to look when i get home
Im sure they are cute though!0 -
Moosmummy hope all's gone well at the scan
ooh lots of people have lived in Otley/Ilkley on here - SJ he must've been a posh boy living in IlkleyV jealous, I love that whole area, so lovely & quaint
MrsI glad your son is doing better today
Sidekick *hugs* - hopefully it's just nerves? I know OH & I went into a bit of shock when we found out, even though we were trying to some degree, and it was only after the first scan that we actually started to really get our heads around it and start to talk about the baby. I think it's natural to go through a bit of a panic, because even if it's planned for, it's still a massive step iykwim? As someone said to me...a woman is a mother as soon as she's pregnant, a man isn't a father until his child is born - must admit I do agree with this, in terms of emotional attachment & changing your life.
Ahhh Helen his little feet are so cute! Ellis is the spitting image of you too, little cutie
I feel officially cr*p today - feel like someone's put a rubber band round my heart and lungs and I can hardly breathe, and my hands are all weird and crampy still. Had a nice morning all the same, went out with my dad to buy a new motorbike (for him!), he's only had his other one for a couple of months but wanted something wider, he was like a kid in a sweet shop bless him! Then he took me to Mamas & Papas to look at car seats - OH's dad & stepmum gave us money last night to cover the cost of the pram and a car seat too (didn't have the heart to tell them my mum & dad had paid, now feel guilty for taking their money, but mum has promised she won't mention anything if she ever meets them!), so figured we would go see what colours were there. Dad bought junior a couple of little toys & some sleepsuits which was lovely
Now I'm hope and attempting to do some work, really don't feel like it though, might nap instead
Labour vibes for GISI, hopefully you'll get your 11/11 baby (I think you should try for 11:11am/pm too)

Hi ladies
You dont need to tell them till you get there but make sure you bring your exemption card because we need to take the number also if any one has trouble finding a dentist ring your local primary care trust (PCT) They will be called after your local brough council like mine is wandsworth pct. They will have a list of dentist that are accepting NHS patients in your area. Everyone is entitled to see a Nhs dentsit so your pct have to provide you with this service. However some dentsit will not treat pregnant ladies for certain treatments due to the fact that some treatment will need xrays etc. However you get dental tretament up until the baby is a year old, then it's free if you are getting certian tax credits. Hope this helps some one,
Back from midwifes appt everything is fine measuring bang on 35 weeks which i am today and at the moment baby is head down and everything is fine :j:j
Seeing if i need a c-section next week !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Labour vibes to those in need xxxxDarling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j0
