Ive just been reading back, (think I only skim read yday
) and someone mentioned tk maxx having some good sale items. I got one of these yday http://www.toysrus.co.uk/Babies-R-Us/Travel-and-Pushchairs/Travel-Cots/Summer-Infant-Snuggle-Nest%280035198%29?cm_mmc=Feed-_-Google%20Base-_-N%2FA-_-Summer%20Infant%20Snuggle%20Nest
It was £13.70, it can be used as a portable bed instead of taking a moses basket or as a co-sleeper within your own bed so you cant roll onto the baby as the sides are solid. Not too sure we'll use it for that but thought it might be handy to have the option.
Still no sign of baby making a move here, if anything she seems to be getting higher up my ribs  Think I need to get back on the gym ball!Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
Thanks to all those who sent out get well vibes to my DS. I'm happy to say that he seems a lot more happy today and is drinking out of his bottle now rather than me having to syringe feed him. Though he is by no means recovered he seems to be on the way to getting better. :j I have my fingers crossed that he will continue getting better and start being able to eat solid foods soon rather than having to have pureed foods.
Does anyone have tips on how to cope with headaches? I keep getting terrible headaches (probably because DS has been waking multiple times during the night) and just wondered if anyone had any coping tips.
Also i wanted to as are pregnant women still entitled to free dental care? If so what exactly is covered (my teeth would need a fair bit of work that i wouldn't be able to afford to get done unless i were to be entitled to free dental care).Married since 28/04/2007

Mrs I - I need quite a bit of work doing too, it took me months to find a dentist who would take me on and when I finally registered nearly 10 weeks ago the first appointment they could offer me was 13/11/09  Im due on the 14th so they've booked me in for the 30th. Your entitled to free dental care for 12 months after the babies born too.
Sidekick - huge hugs to you. Were you planning a baby or was it a surprise? Ours was a complete shock and while OH immediatley took to the idea I was petrified it would change us as I loved were our relationship was at and could not imagine a baby on the sceneIm ashamed to say it took me weeks to get used to the idea and I used to bawl my eyes out that things were changing and I felt like 'my life' was slipping out of my control. Obviously now I cant wait but it was a very strange time emotionally.

thanks
we've been together nearly 5 years. it's a really stable relationship we never fight, we get on like best friends. his issues were- we would have to move house (that's no a definate..we rent a 5 bedroom house and there are just 3 people there (me, him and a mate)..it's a private let and i'm thinking the landlord would be cool with it but if he's not there are plenty of places we could go. Another issue..he works late nights sometimes..well that's not an issue for me because i'll always be around. he says we're too young/not ready etc (we're both 26...in extremely secure jobs - we can afford it). that was it really. there are no real issues holding us back so i don't understand why he wouldn't want it besides 'not being ready'. sure we're not engaged or married but he knows i've been waiting for a proposal for a couple of years now and whenever i try ask him he changes the subject.
he said he'd like children 'someday' but not 'right now'. it's very early days - i havnt even seen a midwife yet so i don't know how far along I am but the GP reckons it could be as far as 9 weeks already. Perhaps OH hasnt had enough time to accept that this is happening. i'm not having an abortion.
oh also..there is the issue of where we would live in the future because i'm from another country (been here almost 10 years) and he knows i would like my children to go to school where i orginate from. his job allows transfers to this country which is awesome but i think the whole prospect of change scares him.
we have an excellent family base here - both his grandparents, his mothers family, his fathers family, live here. i am very good friends with a kind lady who has even offered to look after the baby when i go back to work (for free!). we have no reason NOT to have a baby.0 -
Sidekick maybe he just needs a little time to get used to it all. I never considered not carrying on with the pregnancy as I knew I did want a child I was just shocked that it had happened when it did. We've been together 3 1/2 years and are also in rented accom, we werent engaged when I fell pregnant but are now as its something we'd been planning on doing for ages just never got round to.
I found in the early weeks it really helped me to not talk about it for a few days, every conversation and thought seemed to be about babies but while I was still trying to get my head around it if I could go 2 or 3 days without baby talk it made me realise what wanted. (That probably doesnt make any sense sorry, I just know it helped me)Belly Monkey arrived 19.11.09 :j0 -
boogelly - did you have trouble finding an NHS dentist because they're scarce in your area, or did NHS dentists not want to take you b/c you were getting it completely free? Just curious...it's apparently quite easy to find an NHS dentist in our area (fingers crossed) but I've been really lazy and haven't bothered registering, but am nervous they might 'reject' me b/c I get it free. All I need really is a good clean though!
