  • Has anyone had any maternity reflexology? I'm looking at something to treat myself with and thought this might be nice! Also considering indian head massage as I love my head being touched! I'm saving lots of money never going out and not drinking etc so I feel I deserve a treat!!

I love watching my bump move! I find when I'm sat watching tv if I start getting kicks I spend more time watching my bump than I do the show!

SJ One of my b/m does reflexogy but she says be careful with it as it can bring on labour so she is planning on doing on it me she can get down but only in the last week or so, Not sure what others says but that's what she recommends.
Darling son born 10/12/09 hopefully the 1st of many :j
  • Ok thanks Lou. The info I was looking at says this is specifically for pregnant ladies so should be ok I'd hope.

Maybe good for anyone wanting to get things moving though!!
  • Hi All
Advice please. Was on here about a week ago complaining about constant morning sickness. Since then it got worse resulting in 6 or 7 bouts of vomiting a day and ended up at the GP who put me on medicine to stop the vomiting with a warning of if we can't get it under control I'd need to go into hospital. BUT being the paranoid person I am, I really don't want to take any meds so came off them today (after 4 days not 14 as GP recommended) and I've got nothing, no nausea, no weird strong sense of smell nothing. Am now terrified I've harmed the baby by taking medicine in the first place, or should I just shut up and stop moaning and enjoy the fact there is no ms?
Sorry being a very paranoid first time pregnant lady!!!

Not really sure what to suggest, except maybe go back to your GP for their advice. It could be that the medication is still in your system which is why the symptoms haven't come straight back. How far along are you? It just be that the MS has tailed off at this point.

((((Sending you some big hugs ))))

  • Hi Got it spend it,
I'm 8 1/2 weeks, my mum is convinced that I must have had some sort of bug as she never had any ms with any of her three pregnancies. I've made an appointment for the GP tomorrow as I'm planning to go back to work and need him to sign me back on as fit. I'd been signed off until the 19th as the medicine knocks you out and you can't drive but once I stopped throwing up, and then stopped taking the medicine, I felt like a bit of a fraud and that I really ought to get back to work as I figure I'm going to be off enough when the baby arrives. We'll see what the GP says tomorrow.
    Thanks for the hug

  • Your mum could well be right, PP! Mums are good like that!

I have officially had no nesting instinct.....if I make myself go and do some housework do you think that will count as nesting and baby will come?! Worth a try.....

PP . just be careful , it wouldnt of harmed the baby , or they would not of prescribed it to you , also , you havent finished the course of medicine, so the MS could come back with all might, please be careful , if your have been prescribed a 14 day course you should really finish it

You are probably right and I'll probably get an ear bashing from the GP tomorrow. I think in my case it's a bit like a little information is not necessarily a good thing. I used to work with adults with severe learning disabilities and i've got myself really paranoid about taking any meds whilst pregnant as a result (although to be honest the majority of my clients were old and a lot of things that might have been considered ok in the 50s and 60s just aren't used any more).
Got-it-spend-it, i've just realised you are a nearly a week over due, sending you big labour thoughts and hope the nesting/cleaning hurries your baby along.
