Lol Som I was walking on my own for the most part - so even though I was uncomfortable I forced myself to walk properly, didn't want anyone stopping their cars to check I was ok!! :)

Welcome to all the newbies, lots at the mo! So now we all need to jump ship and make space - come on babies!

Debating with myself over whether to go out for a curry tonight...or just to make one, I've become such a lazy cook!

  • hello!

ahh it's taking me so long to catch up at the moment!

come on come on babies!!! i keep checking on at work at lunch to see if any have been born yet!

SS so sorry to hear what's happening with you at the moment. I think what everyone else has said is right about having a clean break. And also you need to feel like you are in control of the situation again, and that means not letting him call the shots about seeing you. It sounds like he is being very manipulative of you and just wants to have his cake and eat it. Please don't tell yourself you are stupid because you are NOT in any way, you have come out of this as the dignified one and he just looks like a coward who needs to man up and face responsibility. Don't beat yourself up about it at all, because you have done the right thing and you have obviously been forgiving and gracious and that takes real strength of character. It must be really horrible with your little boy being so confused. My only advice would to just reassure him of how much you love him and that you are there for him, and reassure him of what you definitely know about his dad (e.g. if he is going to carry on seeing him etc.) Big hugs xxxxx

Convent, sorry about the doc's, that sounds rubbish. I hate it when they say there's nothing they can do!!

Gena massive congrats, so glad the scan was good. I loved mine so much and felt like I was walking on air for the rest of the day!

Pigpen i totally know what you mean about having to eat something right this moment. I'm cooking one of DH's faves for tea but the thought of it is making me sick just cos i don't fancy it :(

Ymake congrats on team pink!! How was the rest of the scan? I have mine on Fri, do they prod around a lot??

right have forgotten everything else now!

Can't wait to see OBEM tonight!

Well Ive been to MW, beany is engaged and ready to come apparantly so he's just being a little tinker!

Nothing else she could do, BP was fine, pee was fine, I have an appointmen for next week if he is still not here they will do a sweep but it wont be her she is off :( I am trying to decide if I am pleased about that or not? cos I Have had the same MW all the way through barr one week when she was on hols so I would think I would prefer her to do the sweep but then I might prefer someone i dont know too?

Anyway if I m still pregnant net week (I better not be) then a sweep it is and they will book and induction then too

I am so fed up, its not even that I cant wait for my baby to be here (which of course I cant) its the no sleep I am getting and the constant headaches from the no sleep are killing me :(

mjs - staffs are much discriminated against. my dog is staff x gsd, and I have a friend with a staff and 6 month old, both are fine. have known a lot of staffs and none with any aggression problems. all really is down to how they are brought up - they are attractive to anybody wanting a fighting dog, but will normally only be this way inclined if they are trained to. some of the nicest dogs I've known have been staffs and rotties actually lol both are in the top 10 dangerous dogs!!

As for your friends, with a 4yo, they'll need to teach the kid as well how to treat a dog, rather than laying it all on the dog. The dog needs to know hes not pack leader, everyone in the house comes before him, but their LO needs to know how to pet the dog responsibly......thats probs all I can suggest really....

Thanks for all the advice re the staffie, didn't realise it was such an emotive subject. Think we just get to hear the bad stuff cos of the press and dont get to hear the good stuff. Also, when they were looking at getting the dog, all the charity type places said they wouldn't give staffies to homes with young children which again served to highlight potential dangers. It was rescue dog they got, crossed with something else they're not sure of, it had previously belonged to a so-called ned/hardman type but hopefully they have gotten it young enough to be able to train it well and take care of it. Totally agree on training the child too, was a wee girl nearby attacked by a dog recently but turned out several witnesses saw the girl taunting the dog, throwing things, pulling at it etc for days/weeks before the attack.

    Hello ladies,

I hope you don't mind me popping in, I just wanted to share my good news! I've just had my 12 week scan and all was very well!!! I've had a nervous 2 months having had 2 miscarriages last year, so I'm so relieved and happy I don't know what to do with myself! The scan pushed me forward to 13 weeks 5 days with an EDD of 9th September. The scan pictures that we got were amazing.

    Woohoo!!!!!!!!!!!:j:j:j:j
    xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Congrats and welcome Gena!! Totally empathise with you, have had 2 mc's myself and this will be second baby since the last one, but still had butterflies at the start of this one and constantly checking for bleeding etc. Well done, and good luck, hope it all runs smoothly for you!

Im having my sweep done at the maternity unit. My mw is quite small though, i imagine she has tiny fingers, so i dont think she would reach anyway :D

Gym, we've only paid the deposit for the church, looking at other peoples pics of marrying there, it does not like nice at all :(

    Hello :)

Well I've had 2 scans today... but still haven't seen Bean:(:(:(

I have a HUGE ovarian cyst:eek: (which explains why I had a bump early on and maybe the bleeding!)

They could just about see head to take a measurement and they're pretty sure he's alive but obviously we haven't seen a heartbeat, limbs or anything:(

I've got to go back in 2 weeks for another scan and to discuss the cyst.

It's not fair... I wanted a pic of my bean!!
