Thanks for your comments about how changing a car also upsetting you! I'm glad I'm not the only nutter who cries over a car! Apparently my mum did too (when not pregnant!) Got my new car today, its nice, feels sooo MASSIVE tho and its only an astra!

I have been enjoying reading through the different names on here! I have 2 girls names I really like but OH thinks they're too 'chavvy' lol! The first is Lexie which I love! And the second is Kacie, a name I have always liked.

Me and OH are placing bets as to the baby's sex! Don't know what the bet is for, but I think its a boy and he thinks girl!!

I take it you dont have any sausages and mushrooms in? can you go and get some???

we have sausages but no bread bombs.. slices are not the same and we have no mushrooms or ketchup.. *wail*

I have chicken broth but it made me want to cry thinking about it when it was not what I wanted

OH relented and went off to shop about 2 minutes ago.. he just doesn't understand what it is like to HAVE to eat something right now and not want anything else!!!

Sorry but Lexie is a dogs name (it is also SIL's pet name for OH).. My sons former gf called her baby Lexie and it just sounds so wrong, her entire family hate it and it is one of those 'in' names which will age terribly with your child and also tell everyone inthe world how old she is! (think of the early 70's Claires, and early 90's Kayleighs).. Kacie is a no-go here.. it is the name of the football stadium!! Lol

I like Lexie, but could go for Alexandra to give choices and shorten in to Lexie. I love Kacie too but that's coz of the singer lol I thought she was great.

I think lexie is quite cute but then i would call a girl Alexis and use lexie as our pet name for her. But then im quite strange and i dont like naming kids by shortened versions of names by all means use them but put the proper version on the birth certificate. Its surprising how a name can hold a woman back when she gets older because people dont take them seriously. A friend of mine is refered to by all her freinds as charlie but when at work and in any business environment she is charlotte. its these silly little things that we have to think about :-)

god I had 5 pages to read through and Im yet to master the art of multiquote so apologies for not remembering who said it but

RE American name - It was actually an American on tv with the name, but DH and I conceived him when we were on holiday in New York LOL so maybe it fits.... I understand what was said about it sounding like a cockney saying "London" though but figure since we're now up north, it sounds a lot nicer with northern twang :)

Am catching up on some jeremy kyle whilst charging my Ipod for when I do some cleaning. Parents are buying me an Ipod dock for my birthday when they come up but I've not got the foggiest which one to get..... I kinda want a new Ipod......a green or orange one LOL wonder if I can sweet talk my Dad.....

Am so excited that in three days my puppy comes back. I'll post you up a piccie of him back with us.... got to tidy up the house though of all unsafe doggy stuff, i.e putting the stairgates up.

Written out all the birthday/mothers day cards I need to sort out for march. Everything seems to happen in March....

xmas I agree, and that also gives the children an option when they're older - my parents deliberately gave me a name they didn't think could be shortened and I don't like that it isn't very often lol

I'm trying to read through here and catch up cos there's craft hours on qvc today and i might just spend my hipg on cardmaking stuff!!!

Popped to the shop earlier for rolls but they had none left, made do with toffee popcorn, snickers bar and diet pepsi... no difference there i'm sure! lol

CAFC - what kind of puppy are you getting/have you got? I have friends who've just gotten a staffie, i'm a bit concerned tho cos they have a 4yo and i'm sure i've heard horror stories about these dogs - anyone know anything much about them?

mjs - staffs are much discriminated against. my dog is staff x gsd, and I have a friend with a staff and 6 month old, both are fine. have known a lot of staffs and none with any aggression problems. all really is down to how they are brought up - they are attractive to anybody wanting a fighting dog, but will normally only be this way inclined if they are trained to. some of the nicest dogs I've known have been staffs and rotties actually lol both are in the top 10 dangerous dogs!!
